    DJ gave a much better pitch than what the plot of this movie was.

    Funny thing. I'm currently re-watching the 90s Spider-Man cartoon. I just got into season 3 and in the second episode I'm meeting madam Webb, which was right after the episode introducing Doctor Strange which just made me realize No Way Home probably could have introduced Madame Webb.

    🤔 Yeah, it was odd they introduced Peter's mom but his name was never revealed after she gave birth to him.

    I’m not so sure it was supposed to be set in 2003. How does someone wanted by the cops board a flight to Peru around that time?
    Also, do people not stop for ambulances in major cities?

    Madame Web takes place in 2003, not 2007. However, it was originally supposed to be set sometime in the 90s, so that would've made sense for it to be in the same universe as the Andrew Garfield Spider-Man movies, but since that whole idea was abandoned, making this a period piece was utterly pointless. As for F4, I'm fine with Pedro Pascal's casting. He wouldn't be my first choice for that role, but I don't have a problem with it. I also don't have a problem with the 1960s setting. What does it matter if their first movie begins in the past or not or if it's been done before? So what? Lots of things in this franchise has been done before. It's how well it's done that matters. They'll end up in present day anyway in the main timeline, so who cares when and where their story starts?

    3:08 look up KC Undercover. Zendaya can definitely handle action scenes, at the very least on a basic level

    You think a million million people won't ask all at once and angrily "If the Fantastic Four are here and now in the MCU in the main timeline then WHERE THE FUCK WERE THEY WHEN New York was attacked? What did they do when Thanos attacked? When the Government tried to control powered people? None of that- LITERALLY Nothing major that happened from Iron Man 1 to now could be in a world where Reed Richards exists and he was not involved AT ALL. That would piss off the fan base more than Madame Web"

    I have a feeling that the 60's aesthetic for the Fantastic Four is going to be established early and then they will be the people out of time, to take the "I get that reference" role over. Maybe the story is structured like;
    Act 1: takes place in 60's 616, Howard Stark and Hank Pym make a cameo, and it ends with their space project going awry, they're assumed dead, but comic book thinks ensue and they survive but separated from Doom.
    Act 2: They find themselves in an alternate universe, Doom has obsessed over finding a way to get back. He's excited to see them but whatever he has done in pursuit of getting back home has turned him into a villain.
    Act 3: They return to current 616 and flight with Doom, and get some modern cameos, maybe Ant-Man and Wasp respond to the fight and old Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne introduce them to the future.

    When DJ was asking who asked to make this movie. There is only one answer to that Brian Micheal Bendis. He pulled the wool over their eyes and convinced them it would be a great story that people would love. Only the biggest problem is there’s no Spider-Man which is the only thing that would bring people to this story that even have a slight interest in comics. At least that’s how I see it going down lol

    1:08:34 Roxie brings up a good point. What was the goal of the movie, especially when Sony has 2 more non-Spiderman movies coming out this year. SONY you only need 1 movie to come out this year to hold the license 🫠🤔

    The thing about She-Hulk is the TV series was created and run by Jessica Gao, who is an Asian woman who wrote for Rick and Morty and those fans HAAAAATED her. Even though she wrote the PICKLE RICK episode who was amazing. They loathed her. So she took that bullying energy and directed at those types of people, and of course they didn't take it well. At all. Cause they're losers.
