Chloe Zhao was the woman who did Eternals. And you’re absolutely right, people rip on it, but that movie demonstrated a lot of the right sauce for a Justice League adaptation
Also you both definitely should read Woman Of Tomorrow. It’s far less “X but sad” than Strange Adventures. It’s just a really great fantasy scifi epic, about a younger, angry and emotional Supergirl. Outright one of the best Superhero books of the past 10 years, and I’m incredibly stoked they’re adapting it

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is one of the best series of the last decade. It's True Grit in space. Supergirl is hired by an alien girl to hunt down her father's murderer, and they go on a planet hoping adventure.
That Suoergirl run by King has some sad moments but it’s very very very fun
Superman has Zod, Brainiac, Luthor, Doomsday, Livewire and a few others which I think would be recognizable to the everyday non comics fan if they watched the movies and or the cartoons

I didn't mind Argylle. I got what it was going for, I dug the plot twists, and I had no problem with the runtime. I'm actually sick and tired of people complaining about long runtimes. We're a culture that spends hours upon hours binging shows, but a 2 and a half hour movie is somehow too much to handle? I mean what? The logic doesn't add up there. For me, my biggest problems were the bad CGI and green/blue screen. That bothered me more than anything else. Why are so many movies and shows made like that when it's completely unnecessary and looks fake? That shit needs to stop. Also, I don't know how Roxy thinks Henry Cavill wasn't in it that much. He was in it quite frequently. And I agree the mid-credits scene made no sense, but I assume it would've been cleared up in the sequel we won't be getting.
Dick Grayson is a household name, your grand parents know who he is. The public don't know about Nightwing, but when you tell them it's Dick Grayson/Robin grown up they get it right away.
Been watching the show for a while, and when they immediately start with spoilers ( remember Transformers?), it's really not good.
Argylle was freaking silly. That's why I didn't like it. It's like they took a spy movie parody and went entirely too far. Too many late-movie plot twists just completely took me out of it. I had my face in my palm for the last 45 minutes of the movie.
Great Supergirl casting choice.
A Superman movie with Brainiac as the villain would be boring af.
