Chameleon shows up at the end of the robot bird sidequest.
Just to “erm actually”, Eddie Brock exists in the first game in one of the backpack collectibles. It’s just a name on a newspaper but yknow it’s there
They didn’t do the *plot* of it at all, but I loved how much Donny Cates Venom crap was in there. The wings, the spirals on the Symbiotes, Cletus leading a cult.. I was so hyped by just small references. However, they apparently didn’t even consider calling Donny about it. I know the man’s in rough shape, and isn’t taking a lot of calls. But he was upset enough and able respond in a tweet. They could’ve told him at least.
Chameleon Is in the game proper. One of the side quests end with him. Spidey 2 was fantastic. Loved it.
Those “flying tunnel robot chase” side missions were too hard apparently 💀
A very boring and uninspiring side quest
There is something important regarding the Chameleon in this game but I'm not sure he was also the construction worker. Chameleon was already well established because he was already briefly mentioned in the first game in a side mission. Also if you don't want to be spoiled about something in the second game please don't read furthermore in this comment.
When you finish the drone mission where you find people's identities it is revealed that those were all people that Chameleon impersonated. Throughout it is stated that he has already faced Chameleon in the past.
Aside from a wonky story, the traversal is the primary reason I return to the Insomniac Spider-Man games, which are so therapeutic as gameplay. It’s insane.
I had a great time with this game. As a whole I do think I felt more fulfilled with the story of the first game although this game did also have a lot of high points. One issue I was worried would happen and in a way it kind of did, was after Kraven had served his purpose in the story, he was kind of forgotten about and the reason for doing what he did I didn't think was emphasised enough. By the time I finished the story I ended up thinking to myself "Oh yeah, Kraven was in the game".
I thought Harry was handled quite well and I enjoyed his friendship with Peter but him as Venom was one aspect I don't think really worked for me to be honest. He felt more like a generic world ending villain. The game's approach of having Harry as the host for the Symbiote as the story progressed didn't really matter as not much about Harry's personality was reflected in Venom which kind of cheapened the character. It would helped make the thread more emotionally impactful if they had kept the stakes low with an emphasis on the personal battle between Venom and Peter. Overall it felt like Venom in name and appearance only. Maybe there's a little bias in me because I'm a huge Eddie Brock and Flash Thomson fan and I love their development in the comics and they will always be my favourite Venom hosts.

I believe that the third game is going to be Green Goblin and a Superior Spiderman Mystery with Otto being Miles. I also believe The Flame/Carnage is going to be the big bad through out the DLC with the Chameleon and the Hand being smaller parts of it. The DLC will also bring back Vemon to defeat Carnage and start his redemption arc that will lead into a spin-off or Wolverine. Another belief is that we are getting another Miles game. It'll have a love triangle between Miles, Haley, and Cindy while the big bad is going to be Morlun. If you don't know who Morlun is; let's just say it is spiderverse related.
I love this game and it sucks not enough people have a ps5 to enjoy it too. I wanna talk about this game!
Well, I got Last of Us vibes with the MJ stealth missions, plus this variant of Mary Jane is more based off Ultimate Mary Jane from early 2000s Ultimate Spider-Man comics with her pursuing the journalist career, that even the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon did the same treatment for her, also the idea was to show this version of New York was to show perspectives of the city beyond seeing it from the eyes of Peter, and after looking at the real life likenesses for the characters look fine it's just there's a hardware issue to get the likeness exactly how it is when designing the looks

I really think Superior Spider-Man will come into play. Allowing you to play as “Peter” and utilize the gadgets/symbiote through Otto. You could have a battle of superior vs green goblin leading to Norman bonding with carnage and red goblin for the big finale
I think we actually will get Otto as Miles instead
Im excited for some new villains finally - Most died in this game
I've thought about this a lot so here is my thoughts on what they will do next. Sorry for the paragraph. I expect the same 3 act DLC structure like they did for the last main game. Episode 1 will be Hobgoblin paid by Norman to grab Ock out of jail. Specifically the Phil Urich version of the character because he fights with a big flame sword and they have a fire damage mechanic already in the game. During that Ock will switch minds with Peter. Episode 2 is Miles and the Superior Spider Man dealing with never variants of villains that died to Kraven in the main game. Maybe Norman is making new villains trying kill the Spider Men. The female Electro and Scorpion that they introduced in the comics are fairly popular. Kraven's daughter was teased in one of the side missions. Vulture's granddaughter is already a supporting character in Mile's comic. Maybe some of these will be saved for Miles's second game but the point is new villains show up and Miles sees how Superior Spider Man is treating them and figures out something is wrong. Then episode 3 is Miles vs Superior Spider Man and we get Peter back. MJ is also out of the city for all of this so it's less problematic. Then Miles's second game is called something like Spider Man Miles Morales Maximum Carnage where it's just him verse Carnage. At the end of that game Peter joins in and loses all the Anti-Venom goo to destroy the Carnage Symbiote. Silk also starts to develop her power. But at the end of that game Miles either gives up being Spider Man to attend college or is injured so he can't continue. That way Spider Man 3 is about Peter teaching Silk how to be a hero while dealing with the full blown Goblin Nation. They can also throw in all the other villains they haven't used yet. Chameleon, Tombstone's daughter the Beetle, bring back Rhino, Mysterio, and Hammerhead. Miles doesn't become playable until halfway through that game until half way through. I know Spider Man 2 was shorter but I think Spider Man 3 should be a big sendoff. I've been thinking about this a lot, it's a very fun game.
I need a Punisher or Ghost Rider Game from Naughty Dog and a Daredevil or Hulk game from Insomniac would be great.
A major problem with both this and the first game is that they really want to have big games so they write the games as 5 acts instead of 3 and both games start to fall apart at the start of act 4 when peter wakes up after the secondary main villain starts his plan
Eddie Brock works at the dusky bugle in Spider-Man 1 so it doesn’t work
I thought the first game was better, I liked a lot of 2 but it just didn't stick with me, I've already kinda moved on and deleted it. But 1 stuck with me for a good while. Yuri in 2 was phenomenal and the end credit scene got me really excited for 3.
I think Absolute Carnage should be dlc fo Spiderman 2 and we get the big Marvel team up in Spiderman 3 where the game is giarenteed to be bigger and by that time well have Wolverines game so he can crossover.
sony better be releasing games on pc if it wants to stay alive. sure tgere's plenty of suckers who will buy a whole ass overpriced console to play the game you are holding hostage, but erm... most ppl arent that stupid, so maybe release video games on a real place, steam, because the competitor does it and its the difference than selling just as much as the playstation and selling millions more than you ever would.
