52:20 - I haven't paid incredible detail to this movie, but I'm pretty sure the reason that the symbiotes eat stuff in the lab is because they are intelligent beings who know they are being used. They could bond with anyone/thing, but they refuse because they are being forced to. Riot has no problem jumping hosts and Venom will voluntarily join Eddie (and others) because they choose to do so.
Oh man Venom, adrenaline Venom in his denim with the venommmmm. If you have to make a movie about a Spidey villain sans Spidey, I suppose Venom is your best shot given his longer history as an anti-hero. Too bad they made this steamer instead of tapping into Eddie's trauma/self-loathing!
The first 50 minutes of this movie are atrocious. It is so perplexing when anyone calls this movie good.

It's so hard to listen to DJ. He talks like every LA cokehead- scatter brained, laughs at his own half jokes, drops subjects mid sentence. Rough.
