Your a legend for this, just done mine this morning! Best tutorial I could find in youtube for these cars. You were right the air filter was a bastard 😂 thankyou for uploading man!
Thanks man really appreciate it! No problems, yeah the air filter is just the worst design possible haha! Everything else isnt too bad though thankfully!
Great video mate. Just got a 2.5 07 plate and was looking for a full service video, only found on 2.0 and petrols 🙄
Cheers for this 🙌
Thank you for the kind words mate! Have fun with the service, it's pretty straightforward and these M57 engines are great, you'll love the car. P.S. remap will do wonderful things on the X25d !
thanks for this video mate its very informative. God bless
Thank you for the kind words, glad it helped!
Great video do you not do the diff oil? Or has that got a longer life span?
I didn't, but it probably would've benefitted from it. However I had no problems with my diff at all so decided not to. Again it probably wouldn't hurt to do!
Great video have you found an improvement in mpg ?
I didn't just from servicing no, but definitely worth doing to prevent damage :)
I really want to buy one of these with the 330d. How reliable are they, the car in general and the engine, do these not suffer from the timing chain issue that the 320d seems to have?
Hey bud, the m57 in these is great, mine was on 180k and it's still going somewhere in new owners hands! My mates 325d which is same block had 220k on original turbo, chain and engine etc! They don't suffer with the 4 cylinder 320d/320i chain issues at all as long as they've been serviced regularly with good quality parts. Honestly they sound great for a diesel, they pull hard up to top of rev range, they're great mate. Go get yourself one!
Rest of car was ok in my ownership and I hear good things :)
