    Great insight into how to do it. Given me the confidence to try it myself! I have a saloon but I assume its the same aspect since its a 325d :) thanks again

      Yes exactly the same as long as it's E9X gen so E90 in your case! Good luck, it's fairly straightforward and thanks for commenting 😀

      Thank you! Yeah they're a really awkward design, done them a few times now and doesn't seem to get any less fiddly haha!

    Hi man, are the 325d coupe reliable? As I’ve seen a 73k mileage one wondered if they are worth going for over a 320d?

    • @Enginesetc
      @Enginesetc  Před 2 lety +1

      Hey dude, yeah pretty reliable! Few mates with high mileage ones, they're the straight 6, 3 litre m57 engine if you go for a pre facelift one like this and they're unreal. The 320d 4 cylinders have many issues, namely timing chain issues, the amount of 320d's I've personally known to fail through friends etc. I'd urge you to stay away from the 320d for reliability reasons alone, not to mention how much smoother and more refined the 6 cylinders are

      @@Enginesetc Awesome pal I appreciate the response, as I seen a 61k 320d and a 73k 325d and wondered whether it was worth going for the 3l with higher mileage!

      @@Enginesetc I’ve seen a 2011 325d at 70k miles would I be expected to run into issues or not

    • @Enginesetc
      @Enginesetc  Před 2 lety +1

      Yeah 100% go for 325d. 3 mates have them, one on 140k, one on 170k and one sold his still going strong at 210k! My 330d (same block) had 180k no dramas. The 2011 model if it's LCI (facelift) will probs be n57 engine but still mega reliable

      @@Enginesetc Awesome mate thank you for letting me know last thing I wanted to do as buy a 320d and shit hit the fan, I knew about the timing belts but thought maybe the 325d suffered with the same problem
