Growing up in Germany, all the “popular girls” were dating guys 3-7 years older when they were 15/16 WITH THEIR PARENTS KNOWING AND SUPPORTING IT. One of those girls was a childhood friend so our mom’s are friends and her mom was _bragging about her 15 year old daughter_ having such a _mature_ boyfriend who made her such _wonderful gifts and took her out to such refined places_ - her boyfriend was 19 or 20 at the time. And I always thought to myself the same things: “where did they even meet??” Anyways the mom herself has like a 12 year age gap with her husband, but they married when she was around 40, maybe close to 40, and it was the second marriage for both.
What makes Taylor such a great comic is her delivery. She's like Mitch Hedberg: the joke is only part of it, it's the package around the joke that makes it great material. Here she is on full display, nothing is hilarious in a vacuum, but her delivery elevates it to an 11/10 bit.
