@@grayfox4819 for a first playthrough, chapter 4 ain't bad. It's not until you play again or someone points it out when it starts to feel like a drag. That said, we haven't seen anything on chapter 4, and if there's anything to go by from the reworked pipe plaza, they may have added new paths in chapter 4

@@ChaloopaJoethat is Whomp's sound effect. Thwomp's is way more direct as it only does "EEEGGGHHH". Curiusly tho Nintendo did the same mistake in Mario Party Superstars (and only there in more of 25 years of this voice line existing)

I hope the SPM foreshadowing is leaned in on now that the final version of that game is a thing. Just a namedrop would be nice. In the original he foreshadows it by saying "Luigi fans will love the next Paper Mario". Which, Luigi had a very elevated role in SPM so many took it as foreshadowing, though it may just be coincidence. But I hope this time they actually take the opportunity to make it a clear foreshadow, by saying the name of the game instead of just "the next Paper Mario."

The Title Screen changing the further you progress is so cool. Also, the removal of naming your save file is probably because some people would put inappropriate words as their file names.

Giving all the characters their own unique dialogue sounds akin to Banjo-Kazooie just makes the game more charming and hilarious than it was before, this is probably going to be one of the best remakes ever!

That's also not an anagram, just a play on words, or a clever pun; anagram rearranges the letters, and has nothing to do with sounding similar

I’m really glad to hear that multiple save files are back. TTYD remake has a lot more changes than I could imagine and it’s going to take some getting use to for me. That being said. I will be able to play 1 file with the new changes. And another file with the og soundtrack 🤗
I have a theory. Parakarry's cutscene WON'T be the only time the Paper Mario 64 theme will play. If the old partners are back in the remake, this could play when you talk to them which would be cool.
POSSIBLY, HOWEVER i do expect all of them appear in the post game and MAYBE they might play the location of where You first met them (With the exception to Parakarry).
So here is my hopes IF all the rest to appear in the post game should play the following themes:
Goombario: Goomba Village
Kooper: Koopa Village or what ever the location is.
Boombette: Koopa Bros Fortress
Parakarry: Main theme
Bow: Boo Mansion
Watt: Shy Guy's Toybox
Sushie: Jade Jungle
Lakister: Flower Fields or Sun Tower
Those voices give me Banjo Kazooie vibes, that's awesome
It's a small detail, but I love how before the partners attack, they have a little battle ready stance. Love small things like that
Frankly I'd didn't expect them to add new badges, so much as rebalance them or change when/where they're able to be aquired.
I just love how the character voices are in some way a nod to Banjo-Kazooie. I think Nintendo really wants them to come back.
Per-area battle themes?! Awesome! Can't wait to hear the Glitzville version, it'll be awesome for _every_ battle to sound special to the Glitz Pit rather than only the champion fight...

Too bad some purists make it seem like it's the end of the world, even though it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things.
I mean it is an issue, but not just for this game, but for Nintendo as a whole.
Come on, it’s 2024, Nintendo. Stop making all your games at 30 FPS. It’s just a little ridiculous that a 20 year old console can do 60 FPS but the Switch (FOR SOME REASON) cannot.
Now, does this detract from the game? No. It’s just kind of, like, seriously.

I was kinda hoping they'd add the badge from the original Paper Mario that alerted you when a Ground Pound Panel with a Star Piece was nearby. At least my old strategy guide should be helpful there.

One of the partners basically does the same thing as that badge already, that's why it wasn't in TTYD.

They’re talking about the locked slots. If you look at the slots that a badge isn’t unlocked on yet, they look like Baymax’s eyes.

I'm just glad they not only brought back the multiple save files, but also have the items inventory hold 15 than 10 items. Makes me wonder if you can double it to 30 after passing the 50th level in the 100 pits.
Agreed on save files. I want another play through of Mario wonder on the same account but I can’t do that without deleting my save file.
it would be nice if the room where the crime scene is has a guy that also gives you the Nostalgic tunes badge early on, he teaches you how to equip it.

Small thing: you don’t have a file name, so you can’t force a certain party member color? Is it still based on the time taken to get that party member? Or will you be able to pick the color when he/she joins?

I wonder what will be in the new options menu? (Tab with the gear icon) In the original game there were no settings that could be adjusted in-game, so I wonder what they added here.

I actually think it's a bummer it's in 30FPS. With 60, the game would look soooo smooth. The game looks fantastic but damn, I hope Nintendos next console will have some more power.
I feel like this will get a backwards compatability fps bump from the new console. Thats a selling point they can promise on and actually deliver. Sony kinda dropped the ball on that for the PS5.

Honestly with the edition of the pipe room this single handedly fixes the General White quest and i wouldn't he surprised if it inspired its inclusion. With every pipe being in the same room it makes going back to every area snappy and cuts the travel time. Very nice!

Nope, its based on what area you are in, for instance the battle theme in pettalburg is the same as it is in rogueport, but in hooktails castle, it sounds more imposing, and fits the castle well
Honestly, I love this. This is so much perfect. What the original did I mean? The original did look really beautiful. Colorful, but this just makes it 10 times better. I can't wait to play this game for the first time and the new details. And stuff it's just so beautiful❤

Shame they probably have not added any new badges, but the warp zone is something called happening and I’m glad I was correct 😎. Also I don’t understand the 30fps sadness bc the game still looks smooth… also they might bump it up to 60fps for the switch 2 👀
Smoothness is the most important part. People whine and complain about 60 fps, and treat anything less as unplayable, but some games just don't need or benefit from it. It's also not inherently a bad thing. It just needs to be stable, which it looks.

No new badges 😢 I hope they reworked some of the old ones. There are a lot of bad badges in this game, and a few that are overtuned. Kind of doubt it though (I mean I guess the strange sack probably got a buff lol).

There's no way they put this much work into this remake not to go back to making RPGs.
30 fps? 20 years of technological advancement and we're still taking steps back. Guarantee someone will have a working 60 fps mod on emulator within a day of release though.
I don’t really care since most turn based RPG’s are in 30 fps or capped at 30 fps
@@MusuemBucket If they're turn-based, that should be even more reason to be able to run at 60fps, since there's no fast-paced action or enemy AI to worry about on every frame. It's not exactly outputting realistic-looking environments or high-poly models (though they are aesthetically beautiful), so there's no reason it shouldn't be able to run at 60
You know the original game was great but this looks even better in almost every way. 10/10
The Save File system and 30 FPS are the only negatives i got personally so far. Everything else looks to be very good. Holding out hope!
At least it's 4 saves per user, unlike The Origami King, which is one per user.

30FPS is a huge downgrade and completly changes the timing for superguarding since before it was 3 frames at 60 FPS, now it's either 1 or 2 frames at 30 FPS which is not exactly the same.
Either that or it'll 'technically' be easier, because they could keep the same timing window despite the fps difference.
I’m 90% sure they will change the timing works, so yeah

Gonna be completely honest, I’m kinda sad they didn’t update the character designs a bit.
I know that’s an unpopular opinion but every time I look at Flurrie I see a missed opportunity to remake her into a Ty-Foo, especially since the new game’s concept art showed she is in fact a cloud.

I don’t think that we know for sure that we can’t name our files, cause in the OG you name your file after you select the file.
That's a good possibility, but what might have made GameXplain think that is that the files are literally called "File" with numbers to 1 to 4, like they are pre-named, but yeah it still doesn't confirm.
