"I wish Pandora was real". EARTH is Pandora and we are killing our home, that's what James Cameron is saying.
Cadê os ikran??
I’m PRAYING that 2025 comes as fast as 2024 did so the 3rd comes out sooner
Hot take: I am very much looking forward to seeing Quaritch return in the next film(s)! He definitely seems to be on an interesting character arc now that he's in the body of his enemy. Plus bonding with Spider! Quaritch, Spider, and Kiri are the characters I'm so excited to see where their stories go. I identify with Kiri quite a lot despite not being a nature girl. As someone on the autism spectrum, I get neurodivergent vibes from her. Plus it's wonderful that Sigourney Weaver plays her! Both her and SLang show that age is just a number (Stephen himself is like in his 70s now!), and they played two of my favorite characters here. You need a good villain to make the hero's fight worth pursuing.
I adore this movie. Saw it twice in theaters and it was an unforgettable experience. I would say it is in my Top 5 all time movies, just enjoyment wise.
Trivia: The gap between the first movie and this one was 13 years because Cameron wanted to actually do performance-capture underwater rather than shooting "dry for wet"...but underwater performance capture didn't _exist_ back then, so they had to develop it. Then all the cast and crew had to get SCUBA certified. _Then,_ because bubbles from SCUBA gear would interfere with the capture tracking, they all had to learn how to free-dive and hold their breath for _minutes on end, while acting._ Kate Winslet (Rhonal) actually set a record at one point, holding her breath for over 7 minutes straight while capturing a scene.
I can understand why Spider would save Quaritch, he's been bonding with him whether either actually realizes it, like Spider teaching him to properly speak the language and guiding him on how to do things the Na'vi way (with ofc a military-style since that's all Quaritch knows). He's getting a parent/kid relationship that he's never really had, I mean Jake called him a stray cat, insinuating he's not really family, also Neytiri almost killing him I'm sure ripped a big tear in his connection towards the family.
So while the Avatar Quaritch has the same memory and personality as the OG you can see him slowly start shifting when it comes to Spider due to this bonding they've been doing, like you see him start to second guess himself during the scene where Quaritch was threatening the other reef tribe. Spider was begging him to not kill anyone and how this was wrong, and Quaritch kind of just stared at him before deciding to burn their homes instead of killing anyone. The OG Quaritch would've shot and killed whoever to get an answer without hesitation while the Avatar version is beginning to have emotional connections that conflict with OG's memories and personality.
The third movie is going to be interesting to see if Quaritch genuinely changes (btw not saying he's redeemable, his character is just very deep grey in terms of morals and whatnot and I think it's fun to dissect it) and who Spider will eventually side with in the end because it's clear he's feeling some type of rift, which is why I don't think not killing Quaritch off or not having Spider do the saving was a bad decision like a lot of people have said! Wow I basically gave a little essay, and I'm sorry for that, I like to talk clearly 😅
Good analisys.
I think Spider saved Quarrich to prove that he's not as evil as him and he has a good heart. I can't blame him, because that's part of his personality. I thought of him teaching the Na'vi ways to the RDA crew as if he kind of wanted to see if they can change heart and side with the Na'vi's like Jake did in the first movie (or perhaps it was Spider's attempt to somehow dissuade them from going after Jake, or eventually that he was just productively wasting their time). As for Jake - Spider relationship I think that even though Jake didn't considered him son at first, he still cared about him in some way. He probably knew what it's like for Spider to be a human, while he always wanted to live fully like a "true" Na'vi. Actually, I think he (Jake) might wanted to accept/ welcome Spider into the family sooner, but at the same time he knew Neytiri would never agree on that. Also Jake was probably the only true father role model Spider had for 16 years of his life, before Quarrich showed up and the only person to show Spider what a geniuely loving father would do for his children. Moreover, Spider was Jake's children best friend, so it would make sense why Jake would be so open and welcoming towards him. It's not shown in the movie, but I've heard of it on the internet (read the comic series, too). Also I've seen a picture of Jake's songcord somewhere on the Avatar Wiki page, showing that he unoficially included Spider as part of his family even before Lo'ak's birth. It's not confirmed, whether it's canon or not, but I think it's a cute detail to show that James Cameron originally saw Spider as part of the Sully Family.
I don't think that Quarrich is redeemable and I personally consider his relationship with Spider as pretty toxic. I think Spider would've eventually chose to side with the Sullys and help them in any way he can to regain their trust after they find out about him saving Quarrich, and to maintain his friendship with Lo'ak, Kiri and Tuk.
About Neytiri, I think that she's certainly gonna have a long way ahead of herself before fully accepting opening her mind to a possibility of considering Spider part of her family. I think, since we are supposed to meet new Na'vi tribe called the Ash People in the third movie and that they're gonna be the new antagonists it might be a way to show Neytiri that not every Na'vi is naturally good (there are also evil ones) and not every human is naturally evil (there are also good ones, ex. Grace, Norm, Spider...) And maybe that's when she could realise Neteyam's death was not Spider's fault and that he is struggling with his own issuess as well, which would've made it easier for her to start to accept him.
Avatar 2 in Dolby Cinema 3D was the best cinematic experience I've ever had.
The bond between Kiri and Monkey-Boy is really endearing
Is it just me or does anyone else think that Quaritch might turn sides sometime in the future
Kiri is basically a descendant of Eywa, she's basically Eywa's daughter in a way but she feels her a lot more than other Na'vi would
this movie makes me sick, especially cause many people in this world reflect what happens in this movie
Yeah, this movie was beautiful and heart-wrenching. I can't wait for the next one. Hopefully i dont have to wait another decade for it hehe
Avatar 3 is supposed to come out December 2025!
@yasminareacts sweet then it doesn't sound too bad
@@yasminareacts Really that's next year I looked forward to the third next year !!
23:13 Not so fun fact: In a deleted scene, they used one of those missiles and killed the baby too.
THHERES A DELETED SCENE FOR THAt FACT?!
I saw this movie in theaters while on mushrooms. That was a grave error when the tulkun hunting scene happened 😅
It would be so cool if the next movie follows Lo'aks and Tsireye's love story, like will he kill to protect her ( most likely) and their new ocean home and habitat, and if they'll have kid's of their own and what skills they'll have due to them being half Ometikaya and half Metkayina🤔

Considering pandora orbits a gas giant.....pandora is KINDA a planet based on its sheer size.
Subbed tho. Loved this reaction and the first
“please tell me he’s not dead” 4:40 ahahahahah.
Avatar is definitely a top movie for me and feel like it has alot of hidden truths about life.. and what it was ment to be
The Way of Water is literally of the greatest sequels ever made, that climax is electrifying. Avatar 3 could be even better!
Yes. Neytiri is her first name. But Mrs. Sully is another one of her names just like Toruk Makto is another one of Jake's names. It comes with starting a family with someone.
Great reaction, interesting thoughts.
Thank u for your reaction! Is one of my favorite movies of all ❤
truly an amazing experience seeing this in the theaters
Kiri is definitely the pandora version of Jesus for the NaVi i believe. Grace died while being connected to Eywa. Kiri is definitely the child of Eywa and Grace hence her special gifts and naturally adapting to nature so quickly. Kiri will definitely be important and a key player for the NaVi & Sully family during the wars to come.
This movie broke me, losing Neteyam, feared it whole movie. Ending especially made me bawl like a baby 😢😢 Movie was so beautiful and moving. Also draining after all the tears and death of poor creatures and Eldest son. Always had softer spot for animals too.
The Way of Water was not simple or easy like the original movie. Cameron doesnt make it easy to connect with these characters. But The Way of Water totally grows on you the more times you see it
Omg Yasmina this movie was really beautiful!! 😳
Hi Yasmina, I've enjoyed your reaction to Avatar one and now avatar 2 💙 Forward to avatar 3 and it's time to see your new reactions of movies this year and I loved your new episode Trial And error Episode seven !!! :)
Awesome reaction of my favorite Avatar movie!!!!😊😊😊😊
I like this movie, but personally I really hope we don't stay in an aquatic environment for the next one. I feel the jungle and mountain environment was a lot more fun. At the very least I'd like to see something new again.

"I hope nothing happens to the baby."
You should definitely watch the 2017 flick "mother!"
38:57 I'm surprised you didn't hear more about this movie considering it made more than $2.3 Billion at the box office.
yesss was waiting on this
One of the best blockbusters of all time
Hot take: I don’t blame Spider for what happened.
i loved this movie idc
19:49 why did the bad guy have to be Australian 😭
i believe i'll love your videos you're very beautiful i hope you're having a good day
I just looked at the cast Kate Winslet is in this which one is she
She's the chief's wife, Ronal I believe
You need to see Parents From H**l. It's a deleted scene showing the full extent of Neytiris terror after Neteyams death. It explains why Spider would save Quaritch
nah, both are great movies, is just the younger audience like this more bc of the young cast
I'm nearly 40 and I like this one better because I think the plot had more depth and was more interesting. Not to say that the first one was bad, but a lot of the hype of the first one was the visual effects. It was one of the first Real 3D movies and seeing the "state of the art" new visual effects for the first time in the theater was amazing. But without that, the plot lacks. Which is why many who watch for the first time on regualr tv in modern day aren't as impressed as we were 15 years ago.
