Another way to tell the brothers apart: Lo'ak has the sides of his head shaved down, Neteyam doesn't and he's a bit taller with a wider face. Lo'ak has a slimmer more angular face. Also, I don't know how many people noticed but Jake has a little dad bod in this movie😂, in the first movie his avatar body was more lean, here he's still in shape but they added a few pounds to account for the years of "happy weight" with his family. Lo'ak is essentially a younger version of his Dad whereas Neteyam, the oldest is like the prodigal son who rarely causes problems.

Spider’s mom was revealed in a comic, she was a human named Paz Socorro who had a thing with human Quaritch before he died. Paz died in the final battle along with Quaritch at the end of the first film. Spider is the oldest of the kids for that reason!
Spider told his name as ”Spider Socorro” to avatar Quaritch so that’s how he realised he is his child.
And the popular theory is that Eywa is Kiri’s father bc she is technically the jesusbaby of this franchise lol
Also Spider and Kiri are def looking to become romantically involved 👀 they were said to develop interesting relationship

Spider saved Quaritch because the Colonel never once made him feel like he doesnt belong with him. And Quaritch saved Spider from Neytiri. Poor Spider is lost between loyalties. Who do you trust? A family of giants where the matriarch wants to hold a knife to your throat? Or a clone of your actual father who makes you feel welcome, no matter what?

I went to watch it 4 times to the theater, worth every single second (and money).
I was waiting for the "It's good for yuh skins".

there is a series of comic books that explain what happened in the 15 year timespan before the first movie and this one (and also a little about what happened behind the scenes not shown in the first movie). In the comics we see Spiders mother Paz Socorro (hence why his name is spider Socorro - technically Miles Socorro - even though the coronel is named Miles Quaritch) when she gave birth to him. She was a pilot in the final battle of the first movie and unfortunately died. So thats how Spider was orphaned since Quaritch also died. And because he was only a little baby when the humans were sent back, he had to stay because he couldnt go in cryo so the remaining lab guys raised him. I also love in the comics it is mentioned how Norm has adopted all these orphaned Na'vi children from the war of the first movie. So he now has a lot of children. 🥰 It is unfortunately also mentioned in the comics how a lot of the lab guys that stayed behind on pandora and was accepted by the Na'vi, how they turned on them the minute the humans returned because they were offered forgiveness and a huge paycheck. 🙄

I could tell Jakes sons apart instantly (plus we start the movie introducing NETEYAM Jake & Netiryi's first son. Loak is a mini Jake, cheeky and always heading first into things bravely. Love both sons but do have soft spot for Loak since i love Jakes personality too. Neteyam is the first son, the perfect navi loyal obedient son, notice that Neteyam is the child with 3 fingers too, Loak has 4 fingers like his Dad and sister Kiri. Im not sure about little Tuk's fingers but i like that not all the kids have same fingers.
This movie was amazing but so devastating at same time. The death and end scenes destroyed me in the theatre🥺😭😭😢
Kiri is shown to be very special, like pandoras version of jesus christ i think. Kiri is definitely Grace & Eywa's daughter biologically. Hence her special gifts and how she adapts very easily to nature.

@@carabaye That is just a straight up lie, Cameron said himself that the Na'vi culture is inspired by many different cultures like the Penan tribe, the Kayapo and Yanomami people. They were far from black or african.
Also as an anthropologist I can tell you the Na'vi culture looks more like the south american direction rather than the african.
