Correction: Ronnie Wilson was 73 years old at the time of his death, not 77 as we mistakenly said in the video. We apologize for the error.
Yeah, because I was thinking-"My sister was born in '48 and she's only 73. How did Ronnie age 4 extra years?"
OMG... I was just sitting her doing the math and my head.... then I scrolled down and saw this response. It's too bad who ever created can't scroll a correction across the bottom of the video.
Showing respect, love from Tulsa, OK for Ronnie Wilson, and, condolences to all he leaves to mourn his passing.
@@nancyomalley6286 I like the way you said only 73. I was born in 1948 too. I will be 74 on January 2nd. Only 74!
These videos are nicely done. The narrator's voice and delivery are excellent for communicating the seriousness and honor to each person. Thank you!
Now there's only one member of the "Gap Band" left. RIP to all who have passed on...
I knew it when I saw it. They have my condolences 🙏I love the Gap Band
You dropped a bomb on me ⤵
@@BOLLOCKS1968
They dropped the bomb on Tulsa, Oklahoma in the race riot/massacre on Black Wall Street in 1921. 😭😭 The GAP Band is from Tulsa.
@@idontknow7738 I learned something new today! Cheers ✌
@@BOLLOCKS1968
👍🏾💯👍🏾 The name of the band was inspired by the three streets in Tulsa, Oklahoma, that defined the "Black Wall Street" district that was destroyed in the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre. The names of those streets are Greenwood, Archer, and Pine; hence GAP. 😘
I can listen to you all day. Your post 📫 are the best. As always i do enjoy.
Nice to see Bert Newton included. He was Mr TV in Australia for many years.
Ah the Gap Band.....sad times, love their work.
All three brothers gone….. so tragic but so many great memories !
@@randykirkland3927 Charlie is still with us I believe.
@@randykirkland3927 Charlie is around and preforming and recording
Wow it's been a year since we lost Sean Connery??? He was my favorite actor. People say I do a decent impression of him. May they all R.I.P
My mom wanted him!
SHPLENDID!
It will be a year on Monday the 8th since Alex Trebek died too. I instantly thought of the SNL skit with Will Ferrel as Trebek and Darrel Hammond as Connery when I saw your comment.
My prayers go to Ronnie Wilson and his family.Being raised in the 1980's, I listened to The Gap.Loved the song Outstanding.
me too
May he R.I.P.
I appreciate the way you pronounce the names clearly and correct
I am always impressed with this channel and the job you do. Even more so is that fact that many things like this contain errors but when you got the age wrong for Ronnie Wilson you IMMEDIATELY made the correction. So many channels never admit mistakes.
RIP to all who have passed🙏. These videos are always well done and respectful.
Really good to see Burt Newton included. Aussie legend who will be greatly missed 💜💜🇦🇺
I never heard of the celebrities who passed this past week but I remember Sean Connery, Fred MacMurray, Roy Rogers, Charles Bronson. and Andy Rooney. Rest In Peace.
Rem Dawg you will be greatly missed. Thanks for all the laughs over the years.
Thank you so much for including Bert “Moonface” Newton.
Every time a football player Like Matte dies I start to really feel old. I used to watch him and the Colts play the Rams at the LA Coliseum during the 60's.
Thank you for putting Bert in. Australia has lost a legend
Thanks for mentioning Bert newton
I met him twice and I tell you he was so nice
I envy you. Would have been a great experience with such a modest man. 🇦🇺
@@davidseamans59 it certainly was I was only a little boy at the time but I remember it clearly
He really was a genuine nice man
You make it to 97 you deserve to make it to 100. R.I.P. TO all, you'll be missed.
My first time on this channel. I found this video to be informative, respectful and very well done. Subbed and thank you.
RIP Ronnie Wilson of the a Gap Band. Love their musuc.
Me too. Rest In Peace.
I like you dropped a bomb on me & early in the morning.

RIP Bert an Aussie icon. I was lucky to grow up watching Bert and his buddies on TV. What an amazing time on TV.

The Gap Band of Oklahoma! Such talented musicians. So sorry to hear of Ronnie's passing. Poor Charlie. 😥
SHE GAVE THE WRONG AGE HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN 73 .

Jerry Remy , one of Boston’s greatest. He will be missed.

I am saddened to say that I have not heard of any of these wonderful people before, but would like to take this opportunity to thank them all for their contributions to posterity, and may God bless their souls 😊
Same with me.
I always love and studied Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. RIP Aaron Beck
the soundtrack to my life, do not let the music and the spirit of this awesome musician die, play it in the house loud for your kids
These are great, thanks for announcing them. RIP to Mr. Martino, Mr. Wilson and Mr. Matte.
BERT NEWTON
what a national treasure!
🙏🏻✌🏻🇦🇺
Who was he? He's the only person on this list I don't know.
@@stupendous1068 Great Australian entertainment icon - receiving a state funeral on Friday. 🇦🇺
@@davidseamans59 Oh okay.
Camille Saviola's performance in an off-Broadway play in the 1980's was unforgettable. She played a wannabe nightclub singer who belted out one off-key song with gusto, singing "Jew bring out da beast in me!" She'd turn toward the band and instruct them to "Hit it!" -- all of this totally out of synch. It took a great talent to get this just right, and she nailed it.
I didn't know a member of The Gap Band passed. I like alot of their songs.
R.I.P. all 😞
The only living member living is Charlie Wilson, the younger brother died some years ago .
@@leebowens2631 really? Didn’t know that.
@@kimberlygray699 Yep the youngest Bass player and vocalist Robert Wilson died first .
I didn't know about Ronnie Wilson of The GAP Band. Charlie's the last surviving member.
listen to this song YOU DROP A BOMB ON ME flippin sweet
@@rubixmantheshapeshifter1769 The 12" version of YDABOM is amazing! One of the best versions made, because it stays true to the original. Seek it out if you can.
R.I.P precious people.
REMDAWG!!!!!!! You will live in our hearts forever! #2 Red Sox. ❤️🙏🏼✝️
Jerry Remy was honored in Fenway on game 1 for the ALCS vs the Astros.
Eerie coincidence ...
I have been binge watching a lot of Charles Bronson films lately.. turns out this week he was born 100 years ago.
Spooky
Ronnie Wilson was born in 1948 that would make him 73 not 77
Thank you for all you have given us to enjoy, rest in peace to all that have passed away 🌹
Rest in peace Tom Matte. There was never a more gritty, blue-collar, lunchpail football player. My dad believed until the end of his days that Matte and the Colts won that 1965 game against the Green Bay Packers. after that year the goal posts were extended higher.
I surely remember Jerry Remy, when I lived in MA and NH, in the 1970’s to the 1990’s. The happiest years, included.
yes , very true
As usual, thank u for such an eloquent tribute to these ppl, and their contributions to society life. What saddens me even more, is that some ppl pass on b4 the even get a gray hair or a wrinkle.
RIP TO EVERYONE MENTIONED HERE.🌹✝️🌹🙏🏾
Rest in Peace to all 😔 💐 Thank You Legacy 🙋♀️
Rest in peace Sean Connery man I'm gonna miss him
May they All Rest in Peace.... 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
The gap band " yeah u dropped a bomb on me" R.I.P.
R.I.P Bert. State funeral 12 November. He had diabetes T2. Also, today Russell Ebert , Australian football player passed away 5th November. Age 72.
I remember seeing all the sports celebrities as a kid, and The Gap Band.
It's such a short life ...100 years is not long not long at all. Life is worth living 🙏
100 years is a short life? Ok.
Very few people make it to 100.So 100 is a long life.
Really? How many people do you know lived that long?
It's sad to see people go but, I still have memories of The Gap Band...Billy Graham was born November 7, 1918
i was blasting up the volume yesterday listen to the gap band
Rest In Peace Everyone
My mother too on November 1st🌈 age 83 🦋
Jerry Remy looks like Nicholas Cage in the thumbnail!
May they all rest in peace! 😢
Very nicely done. Professional!
Remy was the man. I will miss his voice being part of the Sox. He was the Sox.
i remember him on tv ads long ago in the new england area i kinda knew he was famous somewhere around fenway park
Someone needs to learn her math, Ronnie Wilson was 73, if he was born in 1948!
Rest In Peace Ronnie Wilson.
I was just tilting my head on that one. It really threw me off.
Completely forgot about the Gap Band, a childhood favorite.
Rest in peace dear souls. Seeing this just reminds us we are not here, but for a short time. Love God with all of our hearts souls, and never forget to pray.
I will always associate Camille Saviola with the role of Roz Weinstock in “Stuart Saves His Family.” A small role, but memorable for me.
Jerry Remy was my favorite Red Sox player..
The Logie award in Australia is pronounced Lo-Ghee. No offence, just correcting, thank you for remembering Bert Newton. He is going to receive a State Funeral which is a very high honour usually reserved for dignitaries and long serving politicians of high stature.
Was he the person that was the host when KD Lang was there?
Thank you for dropping the science.
@@lolaottinger6976 I'm not too sure...I can google it and find out.
@@lolaottinger6976 Yes and check out the Mohammed Ali incident. Classic.
Dropped a bomb on me with the news of Ronnie Wilson's death.

My Daddy passed away too at 93
Just 2 weeks ago
We were both hospitalized at the same time
But I never got to see him
Because I was contagious with COVID And double pneumonia
I have no parents now

I am so sad but also content
Knowing how I loved them
And how much they loved me back

Was Ronnie Wilson born in 1948? Then he can't have been 77 years old. R.I.P.
My all-time favorite second baseman of the Boston Red Sox .... Jerry Remy R.I.P
Pat Martino. What an amazing talent he was. Played with this gentle, unassuming, easy going style. Listen to his song “Just Friends” from his El Hombre release. Incredible guitar work.
May Michael and Gabriel and the Angelic host of angels bless the United States of America. 😇
The Lowgees? That's beautiful. I am going to use that.
Yes, mate, I got a chuckle out of that, too. I am sure Don and Graham along with their favorite sidekick, Bert, all got a chuckle as well. We miss you, Bert. All our thoughts to Patty and the family. 🇦🇺
R.i.p.
I learned about Aaron Beck in college. RIP 🙏🏽
May they All R.I.P.
RIP 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼
Blessings 💯🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️🥰
Ronnie Wilson was 73 not 77
I was kind of wondering about the age of Ronnie Wilson, it was announced that he was born in 1948 and died in 2021 would that not make him 73 years old? It was said that he died at the age of 77 yrs. Just mentioning not wanting to anger anyone. This was mentioned at 8min, 35 seconds.
Sad to hear this
RIP Burt Newton he really was a one off and legend of Australian TV He will be truly missed.
Saw... The Gap band in England in 1977
Ronnie Wilson was 73. Not 77.
Rest in peace Bert, fair bloody dinkum Australia will not be the same without you.

Why do you have October deaths in November reported as happening in November?
Rest easy friends.
Rest in peace 🎈
No Ruth Ann Minner?
I detest cancer, lost to many good friends.
Vale Moon Face Aka Bert Newton
i had no idea pat martino died
genius guitarist
Ronnie Wilson was 73 when he died. Maybe 72, depending on his birth date. Unless his year of birth is not correct here.
RIP 🙏🙏🙏
You should have included Mike Trivisonno the radio talk show host from Cleveland Ohio known as the voice of Cleveland if you are going to include other people who are not very famous really at all
I agree
But he died on October 28. This video is about people that died in the first week of November. Maybe he's on their tribute video for October.
They are famous if you know them.

RIP Bert.
Ronnie Wilson was not 77 according to his birth yr of 1948. 72 or 73 depending on mo of birth.
