Just learned here about the passing of the woman who played Isis. I remember watching that every Sat morning. Such a fun show for this then-kid…and an admirable actress. RIP to her and all mentioned here.
Watching Joanna Cameron in "The Secrets of Isis" Saturday mornings was a childhood favorite of mine! I loved that show! I had no idea she passed away😥 70's generation kids like me will miss her.
I know right! I'm totally sad to hear about our Mighty Isis. very sad.
🥺😭
Thank you for remembering Vets, first responders and other non-celebrities as well as entertainers. You earned my subscription!
Years ago, when I was a waiter, I met Mort Sahl. Very nice man.
Rest In Peace. 🌷
I had no idea that he was even ALIVE this long! I assumed he had passed 20 years ago.
When I watch this channel it really hits me how short time on earth can be. Make the most of it, tell your loved ones you love them.
My condolences to the family and friends of JoAnna Cameron. During the late 70"s, JoAnna Cameron as ISIS was my Saturday morning hero on TV along with the original Shazam. At one time, they teamed up together too. How time flies, good childhood memories👍🇺🇸..
I watched that show too
Joanna Cameron was my hero as well. I always looked forward every Saturday to ISIS and Shazam. Saturday morning cartoons always ended with one of those shows every Saturday. Great childhood memories.
not Joanna cameron??? oh man. I get teary when my childhood idols and crushes pass. I was and forever will be in love with my Mighty Isis. too young, im so sad to hear this. You also do a great job reading these obits.
I loved Peter Scolari on Newhart. Jay Black was an incredible singer. Great losses.
I always liked Peter, too.
Loved Peter on Bosom Buddies
So many memories of these people. ! Loved Jay Black's beautiful voice !! Jay & the Americans were a great 60's group. ! Peter Scolari was such a great actor on many shows. RIP to them all, especially our war veterans. !!
Amen!
RIP Jay Black. You were beautiful person and such a great singer. I grew up in the 50's and 60's and still listen to his timeless music.
Thank you for doing this. It makes you stop and realize how fast life goes. You stop and remember those that have touched your life in some way. I often pause your videos when I see musicians after remembering a forgotten song, go to iTunes and download them and then return to your memorial. It’s a gift.
I second that. Loved Isis as a kid in the 70’s. I hope she knew she brought joy to kids all over…and I’m sure she empowered young ladies everywhere to be strong, caring, and selfless. She portrayed a great role-model.
@@bigwillie5717 "Oh Mighty Isis!⚡"... I just adored her! RIP Goddess Cameron😔
A note to thank you for your time and effort on our behalf. It is appreciated. Patricia
Joanna Cameron was the most beautiful actress I ever saw. ❤
As a little boy, she was my 1st crush on an adult woman... "Oh Mighty Isis"
I loved her as a young kid. She was gorgeous
SHE WAS!!!!
I see Katherine Zeta-Jones looks like Joanna.
Chris I agree! Joanna is the most beautiful girl I ever saw! There were many beautiful women on TV in 1970s, but Joanna was tops!👌👍💕👩
Oh, no, not Peter Scolari! I really liked him, better than Tom Hanks. That just ruined my day. I remember Joanna Cameron. I watched Isis/Shazam when I was a kid.
Oh my gosh! I’m so sad to hear about Peter Scolari! I loved him in Bosom Buddies. 😢
I remember Peter Scolari from the show with Tom Hanks Bosom Buddies. I loved Jay and The Americans and i once had 2 of their songs on 45's. I met Mort Sahl many times in Studio City in the early 90's at the Newstand where I use to go (its gone now)Rest in Peace.
The 'threw himself on a grenade' Medal of Honor winner has almost become a cliche, but the heroism, fortitude and self-sacrifice of such an act is still amazing to me. RIP to this hero, and to all on the October list.
@D Sullivan I must have missed that. Great to hear, even though his injuries must have been horrific.
@D Sullivan , Kevlar body armour didn’t become standard combat issue till the early 80’s. This heroes actions occurred during the Korean Police Action. 1950-1953.
Thank you for remembering those who served not only in the military but those who protect us!
I had the biggest crush ever on Joanna Cameron back when I was about 10 years old. Really sad she died at such an early age. Statistically if you make to 65 you're likely to live to age 90 or beyond. May she rest in peace along with the rest of these wonderful folks.
According to this report, Joanna was 70. Do you consider this an "early age" to pass away? Being over 70 myself, I consider every day now special. There's no guarantee how long we'll live after 65. Statistics or not. The thing that really hits home is how fast time flies.
I had a crush on her too but I am 3 years older than her. Unearthly beautiful. My personal vision of Aphrodite.
@@kiltedwolf2 for women, 70 years old isn't the time to pass, for men it is!
I was shocked that she passed at 70! That's not that old for American women! God bless Joanna and her family!🙏🙏🙏🙏
Loved Peter Scolari. Very sad to hear of his passing. He was a great actor.
I had NO idea that Val Bisoglio lived so long! He was a cook on MASH circa 1980-83, and he was older THEN!
Val was also in Quincy with Jack Klugman
He was older in the 80's then when he died?! Huhn???
Saturday Night Fever, slapping John Travolta’s head, and Travolta pissed because he spent a lot of time combing it 😂
My Saturday morning cartoons included "The Secrets of ISIS". So glad that "The Secrets of ISIS" is on DVD. Brings back childhood memories.
Kathryn, Hi I Was a 1970's and 80's kid and I remember "The secrets of Isis" show and I remember Peter Scolari from "Bosom Buddies" show with Tom Hanks too. Brings back memories.
Peter Scolari was hilarious on Newhart. He and Julia Duffy really nailed the shallowness of their characters.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾😉😉
Yeah, most of the characters on that show were more like characatures(sp?), but they were acted so that you just accepted it. Scolari and Duffy, though... They took WTF to a special place. 😯😂🤣🙃
Loved watching Peter Scolari on Bosom Buddies and Newheart❤️ RIP and thank you for such awesome memories ❤️
RIP to all in this beautiful tribute video 🙏🙏💚
@Akim Smith heeeey of course I remember you..we all miss you over on YT..how are you? It's been so long 😭 I hope you are doing well 💚
I remember Mort Sahl from when I was a young kid. Thanks Mort for your contributions to developing topical Stand-Up and irony in comic timing.
⚡Oh Mighty ISIS!!!⚡ Joanna Cameron filled my young mind with her goodness, honor, and kindness~ such a lovely role model! (And I was a little gal that L♡VED ancient Egyptian stuff too!) Rest well, Joanna~you inspired a lot of people🌹❤
Thank you.
I had no idea that JoAnna Cameron passed away. She was one of my childhood heroes, I just adored Isis. I hope she knew how many people loved her. ❤️❤️❤️
"Oh mighty Isis" I loved that show,, too. :)
I had a huge crush on her as a kid! R.I.P.
I do remember her 🥰
Yeah that and shazam great Saturday morning's in the 70s
Wow
U remember seeing her as Isis
Beautiful
Rip
I used to watch "The Secrets of ISIS" all the time as a kid. Best Saturday morning cartoons and shows back then.
I would watch every Saturday morning!
I dont care how late I was up or how tired I was that morning or what my friends was doing that morning...i was watching that show..loved it, that and SHAZAM. There was always a positive meassage to each epidode.
I did as well on Saturday mornings ❤️
yeah, me too. Sad to hear about her passing. RIP.
@@jubilantjane5149 Just yes!
This channel is so reverential. Well done.
I read about James Michael Tyler. Amazing man. After his parents died, He dropped out of school and got a job to support his siblings .
I like Peter Scolari when I'd saw him on Bosom Buddies.
Gunther was quite a funniest character on Friends and the actor was very good.
Joanna Cameron,I seen her as Isis when I was a little boy. Shazam was at the same hour as her.
Jay Black,Guardians of the Galaxy 2 has a great song played on the most exciting and excellent scene and the only song I like.
Last,Halyna Hutchins,so tragic.
As usual, I enjoyed your video. I also appreciated you including the records of veterans of note.
May all these dearly departed souls, Rest in Peace !!
whether you go to hell or go to heaven, there won't be any 'resting in peace', you're either screaming in agony or you're rejoicing being with God into eternity, but 'resting'? why does every body say the same thing?
@@robertaccornero7172 what god do you believe in. The Lord dosnt do that. Allow people to scream and burn in hell.
Wow, Duane Dewey is a hero! Thank you sir for your heroic bravery and service of our country, forever at peace in a place where there are no more wars! And all these mentioned who served are all heroes as well and we are grateful for all you've done!
And to all these people mentioned here, thanks for your talents and may all of you be at peace in God's kingdom!
Well said. Great people. May they RIP
Sad to hear about Peter's passing. His character on "Newhart" was so funny. My favorite episode is the one where Stephanie goes back home to her millionaire parents mansion and takes him with her. He is totally awed by their wealth and makes himself right at home.
Peter was SO good at playing the part of a snobby rich guy who has no money. He was also hilarious on "Bosom Buddies."
I loved watching The Secrets of ISIS. It was my favorite show.
She was a hero to little girls 🌹
@@michie666 i'd watched her too. Never knew what the actress' name was til now. And I like Shazam,a hero for little boys.
Mine too
@@messageprocyber_techsonins5138 Isis or Shazam?
@@markrodriguez9442 I liked Shazam too.
Duane Dewey...a true American hero. Thank you and RIP
I always wondered why Peter Scolari didn’t reach the heights of Tom Hanks. Both were great.
No good reason that I can think of.
Wondered the same..
Hanks chose his early movie roles wisely, and NAILED them! Think of Bachelor Party and Splash. But before he could be pigeonholed, he took a serious role in Philadelphia, and nailed that too. It's all about choices, and making the most of opportunities.

Very good analysis

Throwing himself on a grenade And lived! 😲 Salute sir. 🇺🇸
INDEED a true HERO!🗽🇺🇲🙋🏾♀️
Yeeeeeeees indeed a true hero.👍👍👍👍👍👍💯💯💯💯💯
Not an unusual act of bravery. However, limbs are often lost and severe facial trauma are the result. Several years ago, in a ceremony for our returning Afghanistan soldiers, a young soldier was awarded the medal of freedom for throwing himself on a grenade. Even now I tear up remembering how he looked but, as best he could, he stood tall when presented the medal from the president. We forget the horrible things that happen in war and the lives changed forever by the men and women who proudly serve this country. We should never forget.
OMG. Gunther 🥺🥺🥺
That’s sad to hear. I loved his character.
He played it so good.
OMG how sad, Jay Black has such a beautiful voice even when he was in 70'S
Thank you, Legacy!

Sleep in peace all you beautiful souls. Mr Black you will be missed .💜💜💜🙏
Joanna Cameron was absolutely Stunning. Beautiful Woman.
R.I.P. Oh how I loved watching Isis on Saturday mornings.
Rest in peace sweet angels...I was saddened, especially to hear of the passing of Peter Scolari from the classic show, "Newhart"...My late parents and I loved that show and boy did we laugh at Peter's over-the-top materialistic character of Michael....he was brilliant and soooo funny on that show! Together with his love on the show, spoiled and shallow rich girl, Stephanie (Julia Duffy), they kept us laughing at all their antics. Both actors were very underrated....and I'm sure Bob Newhart, Julia and surviving cast members are mourning the loss of dear Peter♥
I agree, I watch Newhart episodes right here on CZcams often
@@TheBennie102103 Yes, still classic, funny stuff after all these years!😊
Joanna Cameron- I watched Isis on Saturday mornings. So pretty. What a shame.
I watched it every Saturday too.
Oh mighty Isis! I loved that show. I watched it every single Saturday morning. She really was a beautiful woman.
Agreed! I hadn’t seen here in anything else. I often thought of her. She was very pretty.
We would watch Isis and then go outside and play it. I made sure I was always Isis (of course 😁) and made my little brother be whatever bad guy I planned on defeating. Good times!!!
Joanna was a breathtaking beauty! As a teenager in the 70s when I saw her on TV I couldn't believe a girl could be so beautiful! RIP Joanna I will miss you always!🙏🙏😇😇
I'm so shocked Joanna Cameron died! She was still so young and beautiful. I had a childhood crush on her when she played ISIS. I was like 12 years old back in that time. May God bless her soul and keep her in heavenly peace. I'm shocked and stunned of the tragic news!!!
I am so upset about Peter Scolari’s death. I really liked him on Newhart, alongside Stephanie. He was hilarious, he will be missed
I remember watching a live TV show that featured Jay and the Americans when they sang Come a little bit closer. At one part in the song Jay's voice broke and the entire group cracked up. However they did finish the song.
I remember watching Joanna Cameron in my young school boy days on Saturday mornings. Had a HUGE crush 😍 on her and Lynda Carter back then. I will always remember her. ❤
Thank you so much for giving updates
May they all R.I P.
Loving this channel. So very well done
I didn't know that Jay Black had went on to Glory. He had a beautiful voice. I saw him on a PBS special a few years ago and he still sounded good. May God grant him eternal peace and rest in his Kingdom 🙏🙏 And to our nation's veterans in this tribute, thank you for your service and we salute you with honor.🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍👍👍👍
Yeah, his picture caught me off guard as well. Great pipes!

Its rough seeing so many so young and the same age as myself its scary
Same
The beautiful joanna cameron i remember her on isis and a episode on the tv series spiderman nicholas hammond
Omg. Honey I Shrunk the Kids was one of my favorite shows when I was little, and Come a Little Bit Closer is one of my favorite 60's songs.
RIP to both.
Rick Moranis not Peter Scolari
@@carolwheeler9979 Peter Scolari played the father in the TV series Honey, I shrunk the Kids. Rick Moranis was the father in the movies.

So many gone, too young. I loved Scolari in Newheart. RIP sir.
No song better epitomizes Jay Black's incredible voice than Cara Mia. What an amazing performance!
All of these people had a positive impact on the world. Whether they inspired people, made people laugh or saved peoples lives. The world was a better place for them being here. May they all rest in peace
I watched Bosom Buddies and Isis when I was a kid...damn....
R.I.P to all, everyone around the world....
What about Sean Connery? Sean Connery died a year ago on October 31, 2020 at the age of 90.

Joanna Cameron will always be my favorite actress.
RIP Mahalia Jackson! I still listen to you!

Gene didn't write Babylon 5. Only Star Trek
May they all R.I.P
Watching these always makes me stop breathe and reminds me to appreciate life thank you
loved Secrets Of Isis so sad to hear she has passed such a pretty lady
It's tragic that we only become aware of most everyone by their deaths instead of their lives like Gabby Pelito and Halyna Hutchins.
The celebrities and people across time will not be forgotten.
RIP Everyone thanks so much
An understandable narrator...what a concept
Didn't realize that James Michael Tyler was from South Carolina and went to TL Hanna HS in Anderson, which also produced James "Radio" Kennedy and Chadwick Boseman.
Peter Scolari was a hoot! RIP
I remember 1st watching Peter Scolari in "Perfect Harmony" and then "Touched By An Angel".
Of course, I remember "Gunther". 😄
RIP to all these people.
I had not heard about Scolari. Always enjoyed him and felt bad he didn't get the same acclaim Tom Banks did.
And to "Gunther" 😢 so sad.
RIP Peter.
It always amazes me when i see people passing away that are the same age, or younger, them i am. It is also troubling to know that when i pass no flag will be flown at half staff.
As long as those around you are sorry you’re gone you know you’ve made it
I wouldn't worry about flags
It will be when people mourn the loss of you. Hope you have a beautiful life.
Rest In Peace Everyone

you can't beat growing up in the 70's watching saturday morning cartoons and educational shows like isis and shazam, she died too young, rest in peace.
Wow, Gunther too? RIP to Peter and Gunther. RIP to all.
Oh Gunther!, Halyna, tragic story. R.I.P everyone.
The reason Tom Hanks became a major film star and Peter Scolari didn’t was “Splash”, co-starring Daryl Hannah and John Candy. The Ron Howard directed film was one of the biggest hits of 1984. If Scolari had gotten that role instead of Hanks, he would have had the film success that his “Bosom Buddies” co-star managed to achieve. Scolari was just as talented as Hanks, perhaps, even more so but show biz ain’t really about merit or skill, it’s about being in the right place at the right time. Hanks was in the right place at the right time and Scolari wasn’t. Simple as that.
RIP PETER SCOLARII!
Sad to hear they pasted. Liked Bosom Buddies a lot; goodbye Peter. Goodbye Gunther, so sad to see you passed too soon. Also dearly loved Jay and the Americans; many, many songs were the soundtrack of my teen years. Theirs were right at the top of the list. 😢😢😢
SOOO freaking ironic, I was watching Quincy, ME when I saw this video and it showed Val Bisoglio. He was a great actor. May he and all of these RIP.
💔 may they all RIP
I hope that atleast some of the cast members of FRIENDS were able to see him before he passed and paid respect to him and his family. I loved you Gunther
