Thank you Dennis! Your videos are both educational and inspiring to me. Thanks for all the effort you put into these reviews.
Being a Gweike customer for over a decade (100W Co2), I can comment on the longevity of their products. The unit I have is built like a tank and has worked flawlessly since I bought it.
2 years ago and being out of my warranty period, I upgraded the DSP controller to one that supported lightburn . This was relatively easy as they use standard off-the-shelf parts in the construction so have no fear of long term support .
with this new DSP and a camera, I feel it now it can go toe to toe with the modern ones.
Great video Dennis! I really look forward to your videos. Keep up the great work.
Thank you Denise. All of your videos are excellent and worth watching no matter if we are interested in the specific tools or not.....
Also people like us we are always interested on all tools so not worry about anything mate 😉👍👍
Excellent review with lots of high quality information, it seems like a fantastic machine, very interesting! Thank you Dennis 👏👍😀
Great Review, I can see your thought pattern with this machine, it is effectively a tool that you can realise your thoughts and plans. Hope your cold gets better soon. Best wishes Grant
Thank you for the discount code and the informative review.
Pretty impressive machine indeed, Dennis! 😃
Fantastic review!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thanks once again Dennis for your fantastic review, you got me motivated with all your Banggood reviews and if I can make a go with my Diode Lasers which should arrive at the end of the month the Gweike Cloud seem like it would be the next logical step.
Thanks Dennis. A very useful review on what looks to be a rather high-value machine. (I hope your laryngitis clears up quickly... thanks for taking the time to narrate this video in spite of what must be an uncomfortable throat!)
Great insight into the laser, i was thinking of getting this but the noise put me off since i live and work in a flat ..i would look into rhe newer models as suggested. Thanks.
Another excellent video Dennis, even though its not something I am likely to buy due to the cost but for anyone that can utilise it as part of a small business it looks great.
Hopefully if you use it in future woodworking projects you will provide alternative methods, for those that don't have one 😁
Thanks Colin, still think that a diode laser can be a great help as well. In combination with your router table it works perfect
Once again. Very educational video. I am nowhere near the level of maker that you are so that laser is out of range for me personally as I just purchased the Atomstack A5 and in a few minutes I will be installing limit switches on it and creating a box for it. So for now I will make due with that unit. I am always looking forward to your video content. Can't wait to see what you have next for us. You need your own show on the big networks. You are hands down my favorite youtuber to learn and glean from.
Hey Dennis...I could not help but notice the diode laser engraver enclosure you made in the background of this video. Do you have plans or a video on that build?
Good video! I can see how this could benefit workflows. With this, and the “almost perfect dust collector” video, I was wondering if you use something to measure the air quality in your shop. Thanks Dennis, and feel better soon!
Hi Fred, yes, I bought something actually lately to give me some more insight because I want to do a review about this subject in the future.
Hi Dennis,
I love your videos on Chinese tools, hence I have purchased some from Banggood, happy with purchases.
I have never had a Lazer engraver cutter.
As a beginner would you recommend this one ?
Is there a back up if I need help?
Look forward to hearing from you.
Regards,
Paul
Good video... Cost me a bit of money there mr :) I am now biting nails until the laser arrives my shop. :)
Thanks for the discount code-
TR
great to hear! Have fun with it. I still love it.
What a great review. With only $400 difference in the 2 models, at that price it really looks like the Pro version is the best one to go for.
Which software user interface is better in your opinion for an absolute beginner tonuse/start with? Thanks, Dennis.
You definitely need Lightburn! Easy to learn, great information on their site to get started and very intuitive. Gweike cloud software can help if you want to make the first fantastic things from their library, but I would start with Lightburn.
Great video, you sound like you have a cold, feel better!!
haha, You are right! feeling good, but I sound different!
Do you know if the unit works with any SVG file or is lightburn software a requirement?
what is the black sheet/panel material that you use?
Hello i bought this machine and i can't seem to set it up , could you help me?
No score card Dennis? Looks a great bit of kit
Forgot 😊. but this is a hard one because of the price. At the other side, it is half the price of the glowforge, which is the direct competition. With that in mind. 5 stars. Also because of lightburn and Glowforge asking monthly money when you want to do more with its software. And I like the fact there is a big professional company behind it.
@@HookedonWood thank you Dennis
wow, thats a completely different voice then normally. What a cool machine.
Sorry😊 thought about delaying the video but I plan to make a more regular china tool video next week so I decided to do it anyway
@@HookedonWood The laser is really cool. Looks very usefull for what you do. The chinatools series are amazing. Thanks for doing this channel.
Good afternoon Denis.
Hi Robert! good afternoon :-)
Nice review. I was waiting to hear your ranking like you do with other China tools but you never did that at the end. It's obvious you think very highly of this tool, I was just curious how highly = where would it be ranked in the categories you rank all other China Tools?
I had difficulties to rank this machine based on its price. Based on that it is soo much more expensive than the products I usually test. But considering the price of an average CO2 laser, you get a lot. So, 4.5-5 stars would be fair.
Nice to see that you use Swedish clothing, Blåkläder 😃👍
Yeas, I am part of the Blacklader family now😀
Bought one of these and camera does not work !
@09:49 If you're feeling crafty then adding your own Red Dot Laser is an option: czcams.com/video/zC5ljI3qFSs/video.html
great tip!
Could this be used in an unheated workshop where the temperature can get down to 32F (0 C) in the winter and 90F (32 C) degrees in the summer? Or would I need to frame off a small room to house it?
It's not generally advisable to put lasers in an unheated space, think it shortens the lifespan of the tube, and condensation could def be an issue, but given this small form factor it's suitable for indoor use, just need to run the exhaust hose outside when in use
Thanks Kevin. I can add to that that you can use this laser inside a room. But i would advise to place the extra inline fan. This way there is no smoke leaving behind in the room
ATTENTION! to buy this machine if you plan to use it with Lightburn. Configuring the camera with lightburn is practically impossible, not to mention the alignment. NO ONE tells you all this, but as a victim tomorrow I will make a video and let everyone know about the camera alignment problem. DO NOT BUY, just waste your money. the assistance only knows how to repeat the same phrase: Redo the alignment procedure...And this would be a "professional" laser company????!!!! God bless you.
Sadly my experience with the Gweike cloud is the opposite very bad wiring that could cause a major fire I’m suggest no one buys this machine
