    Gweike Cloud Pro is a well built 50W CO2 laser cutter capable of laser cutting and laser engraving at very high speeds. It is a direct Glowforge competitor, but it is 3 times faster, more powerful, easier to maintain and service/repair. It is also more versatile as it supports online and offline software control and it also supports Lightburn. And it costs less than half of the Glowforge!

    As I heard from people here in Sweden that Co2's have limited life span, even if they aren't used, I asked Gweikecloud about that. They answered that they have a lifetime of approx 15000 hours, and cost today $400 to replace. I'm guessing that they don't meant in absolute hours, but using hours :-) Didn't get a solid answer about aging standby.

    • @JTMakesIt
      @JTMakesIt  Před rokem +1

      These are hours of use. But if not used, co2 tube shoukd still last around 5 years. This is more or less the same for all co2 laser cutters And not running the machine at full power (but at 70% max) will extend its life significantly. 400usd for a new tube after few years seems a lot but if you think differently, you will realize that you can earn this money back with this machine in just a couple of hours making stuff for other people.

    Hi JT,
    As I said earlier in different video about my recent purchase of Sculpfun S10. You gave me good tip to solve the issue. Now I have a trouble in coloring the engraving. I purchased a pack full of Mica Powder and tried. The result is not good as the fan in the laser blows the powder away when the laser head comes near the position before it starts engraving. Do you have any solution for this. Will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

      What material are you trying to engrave?

    • @karthikprabu5632
      @karthikprabu5632 Před rokem

      Balsa wood thin material 2mm thickness. Actually the fan in the sculpfunn laser head always on, when it comes near the position, the mica powder blows aways.

    • @JTMakesIt
      @JTMakesIt  Před rokem

      @@karthikprabu5632 You can try to make some piece of plastic "shield" under the bottom of the module where the fan is blowing to direct the air to the side. but you must not block the air flow. Just redirect it. I never used mica powder, so I don't have much experience.

    I have a Gweike Cloud Laser, bought about 8 months ago. I have burned a lot of products and use only Light Burn because the included software and their Cloud software does not work. Calibrating the camera will be frustrating and lengthy. The place where they fail is service, if you need parts you have to find a 3rd party in the country you live. They will not take orders for parts. My X axis stepper belt broke, I have been trying for 5 months to order one. Sales does not want to deal with it and support cannot order parts, so they push the issue to sales, and nothing happens.

      @@scalebuildings some light can ce seen when the tube is working. I think the max current is somewhere around 20mA. I think the pink color is OK. If becomes red then the tube is near its end.
