  • This video shows the installation for Align Tactical's OFFSET Extended Magazine Release, which is compatible with Sig Sauer P320 M17/M18 and P250 pistols. There are two methods for replacing the magazine release and this is the easiest when using a pointed tool such as a small picture hanging nail or push pin. The other method would involve fluctuating pressure with a L-shaped hex wrench or similar, while lifting the plastic retaining plug out by the fingernail notch.

New to sig and Align Tactical. New build for P365 and P320. Not know that the Ext Release did not come with the spring and lock piece was a suprise I did not plan on. Now I need to go out and source a spring and clip... Ugggh

We offer the spare part kits on our website home page. It is sold separately to keep the cost down, since many re-use the OEM parts in the factory pistols vs. those that are doing a complete build, so completely understandable. They are currently in stock to get you up and running. Thanks

With my grip I am worried that I will accidentally drop my magazine when I desperately need my magazine the most, in the middle of a SHTF nightmare

The mag release is designed for a high grip, such that your middle finger (which is twice as tall as the release when gripped) will run alongside the extended button which is about a nickel's width higher than the OEM part it replaces. The bottom half is completely flush with the grip module so there is nothing to press on the lower end. This design raises the button up the grip module, such that in a two-handed grip, your support hand palm rests on your fingers and not the mag release for comfort. Our design differs from rearward paddle style releases that extend backwards into the palm where people can potentially drop mags. With our OFFSET release, we've constantly gripped the pistol with excessive force and have never had the button move even a hair. However, if you have BOTH a low firing grip as to leave the button exposed AND your support hand gripping style involves excessively canting it so far forward as to have the inside of two fingers pressed up FLAT against the trigger guard INSTEAD of enveloped around your other hand, then that would be the only condition where it is possible. We've introduced a Thumb Rest Takedown Lever for the P320 to help provide recoil control for drastically reducing muzzle flip and it serves as a consistent grip index point that negates the use of an excessively forward reaching grip that places one hand far in "front" of the other due to bore axis concerns. That type of grip pushes the left shoulder out asymmetrically and causes neck and upper back strain when applying continual inward grip pressure. Our part allows excellent control with the commonly used symmetrical (across from each other) grip, as to provide balanced vise-like grip pressure and comfort. When looking at the M17, there is a palm swell channel cut on the upper portion of the grip. When gripped as designed, with your palm resting in it (regardless of grip module types, X-series, etc.), everything will work perfectly and effectively.

Are these USPSA / IPSC / IDPA legal?

Doesnt it interfere with the holster?

Many regular holsters that do not cover the mag release tend to fit fine, otherwise there may be a sliver worth of Kydex material to lightly touch with a Dremel and clear that edge that it touches. Very easy fix.

We just did for the P365 left-handed and is nearly sold out. Next month we'll have more as well as the lefty P320 version. Thanks!
