    Exactly the video I was looking for. I shoot lefty, therefore nothing comes made for me. This was quick easy and I got it swapped out on my P320 X Carry before the video was even over. Thanks!

      Same, im left handed. I own CZ's but going to pick up a X-Carry tomorrow, trading my CZ Scorpion for it. And needed to find a way to convert over, otherwise the XCarry does me little to no good

    Brilliant, thank you! I swapped my P320 to left-handed... unfortunately, I had to swap it back - - BE AWARE - - my Kydex holster makes contact with the LH release button, and my magazine was on the ground before I finished unholstering the gun. Lefties, look out for this problem!

    I just swapped mine around today, and I found there’s a little divot in the side of the detent. If you press in the mag release and the allen key with one hand, you can pull the detent with a finger nail, first try.

    This magazine catch swap for left handers was beyond annoying. I've tried for days with paper clips, that didn't work so I read the comments and went out to get some t-pins. It worked but I put a little damage on the frame.

    Get a T-Pin from any office supply store. I couldn't get it to come apart with a paper clip and the T-Pin with the pin end gave enough bite to get it to come apart first attempt.

    Not sure if you're still reading comments now. I want to know what brand was the pin punch you're using? I was using a 1/16 pin punch from Starrett, but the pin was slightly bigger than the hole so that I cannot get it done......thanks~!

    • @18wheelerham
      @18wheelerham  Před 4 lety +1

      A pin also works if that doesn't fit you can also use a smaller sized punch the size a punch doesn't really matter it's just depressing a release down hope that helps

      @@18wheelerham The smallest pin I have is 1/16. I've also tried something like a needle and it was so dangerous, especially the moment it broken into pieces (just like that you saw in movies). I'll try to get another one from HomeDepot, thanks~

  • @teomank1257
    @teomank1257 Před 6 lety

    Thank you for the video mate! I suppose this mag release is a precaution to the newer Sig Sauer's. In the previous series like the P226, Mag release was held by a little stopper pin which could be locked in to position in two different orientations. But could only be taken out if inserted correctly. Otherwise the lock enters completely to the frame making it impossible to dissassemble again. You actually have to break the frame in order to take the mag release out again. Though this one looks a bit more trickier, seems to be more fail-safe

    • @18wheelerham
      @18wheelerham  Před 7 lety

      Bryan Druce the detent is a little finicky if you press too hard it won't really see if you pressed you lately it won't release you need to find a happy medium and kind of slowly move it up and down until you find the release point hopefully that helps you out if you have any other questions feel free to shoot me another message

    • @bryandruce5835
      @bryandruce5835 Před 7 lety

      I finally broken down and found a safety pin, it was able to move more freely in the 1/with hole, and the point of it put the right pressure on the right spot, and it came out. I laughed at myself for 5 minutes for not having troubleshooting my options and having spent half of a day on the swap . Thank for the video post, with the switch over I have been practicing my new reload method to go wìth the new grip method I picked up from Jon Lovell

  • @christopherbarger6112
    @christopherbarger6112 Před 6 lety

    What a joke. They can't design a fucking mag release. They can't design a safe firearm. The slide finish sucks, The front serrations suck. The trigger sucks. A full magazine is like trying to get a full mag into an MP5, just ridiculously difficult. If you're reading this, and want a P320RX, I'm selling one.

    • @18wheelerham
      @18wheelerham  Před 6 lety +1

    • @christopherbarger6112
      @christopherbarger6112 Před 6 lety

      I still have mine. It's going off to the factory to get the voluntary upgrade. And then I'm selling it. The modularity is cool. But the slide conversion are always out of stock. Grips are out of stock. And if you want a small grip, good luck. Hopefully it selss for a chunk of change that will fund a "Gucci Glock" as they say. Enjoyed your video. But it pissed me off usng the 1/16 punch and wanting 3 hands. So I made my own video on how I did it. Kinda half ass guessed on an idea and it worked.
      Thanks for oyur video! I left a link to yours as it's the best quality I have seen and in case my method doesn't work for some people.
