I applaud you for going through the manual!! I pick mine up next weekend and you answered a major thought of mine. nice review.
Cool to see. Ive been carrying this gun for the past couple years and it's cool to hear what you have to say about it. Its been great for me. Great shooter, great quality, a little chunky at times, but as we all know, its ALL a tradeoff. It will be a great gun for many, but not for everyone.
Happy to see you test this one. I purchased one in 2019 and swapped out the frame for a small size FDE version. FYI, my case and contents look the same as yours.
Out of all my carry guns this is my favorite to carry. It's so comfortable and so easy to handle.
4:50 Graham, that cut on the front of the slide is so the barrel has better clearance during cycling, because the barrel tilts a bit.
I am surprised the dude didn’t know that..
Yeah, I’ve seen that feature on a few other pistols as well. Amazed he didn’t know that. 🤷🏻♂️
@@DLordSadow only like 90 percent of pistols made? Haha! Literally almost every pistol that is not a revolver or fixed or rotating barrel design.
The Wilson Combat grip modules for these take the gun to another level . Thanks for the video.
Too big for my hands. The X grip is awesome for us wee guys. And gals.
@@CaveWyatt They have compact versions.
@@DLordSadow No, I meant it increases the reach to the trigger. I don’t need to look cool, I need to reach the trigger. X-grip is perfect in all ways. Why change?
Yeah night and day. Fits my hand much better than stock. And I don't have big hands.
@@DLordSadow Wilson Combat compact grips are 15rd instead of 17rd, but they they don’t take the 3.6” xcompact slide
Thanks for the video!
I have the original compact that I run a Wilson grip for Awhile...But now it's a Full size x5 Comped Monster and one of my favorite Hammers 🔨...
Nice to have interchangeable frames for consumer. Good job 👏 👍
I love the Sig Sauer P320 X series.
I bought one in April of 21. It is an excellent firearm.
Decided to buy a P320 XC today after a week of researching which would be my first CC. This Great review reinforced my purchase. Thank you!
You're welcome. Make sure to see our Shooting Impressions videos for notes on ammo.
It’s also helpful to note that the serial number is on the FCU with a window in the frame unit to see it. All other frame units should have that same window. And, yes, those Icarus frame are awesome! And come with the slide release as well.
awesome review! Would love a technical comparison between this and the 509 🙏🏽
Excellent video
timely and educational... slight wait now.
Grabbed the same gun. I really like it. I've got some work to do with my hand positioning and the slide stop. The 365xl was temping but the FCU limits you to the smaller guns.
One thing I noticed is that older models had the rear sight built into the plate. Also I had seen somewhere that some 320s have the mounting holes for the RMR, not sure if that's true or if you'd still need a plate.
Thank you for your review. I would suggest you trying some of the Federal 9mm 130 grain SynTech ammo. On the box it says PCC, however I shot a box of it in my P320XF and it was smooth
This is my carry gun. No failures out of the box. I find its grip module to be perfect for me.
I went with the slightly larger M18. With no trigger safety, I settled for a thumb safety.
My EDC also.. I have smallish hands and it feels good, but I want to try a small size from SIG's site to try the fit. Love my XCompact.
@@areitomusic Mine the one with the 3.9 inch barrel, is it a lot like the m 18 minus the external safety. It comes with a medium grip. I like it so much that I haven’t purchased the Wilson combat grip module.
I have a Glock 30 Gen 4 too, but the Sigs grip is much better; I can’t get used to the Glocks shorter grip, maybe I need a 13 round mag with a sleeve for it .
AMAZING GUN! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Lorival from Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil ....... Great video !!! Congratulations !!! This specific model, here in Brazil we still haven't found... the cost of the Sig P320 X Compacta for Brazilians is around 3,000 Dollars !! A very high cost !!!!
These in the 2 tone w/ stainless (or nickel finish) slide look soooo good.
Picking up a p320 X full length slide monday. Probably will put an AXG grip on it and highly considering Holosun optic.
Sig just shared your video on their Facebook!
Awesome! Thanks for the heads-up!
This variant finally let's you keep the rear sight! Awesome review. 🇺🇲
What variant is this ?
@@BoneShark420 newr variant lol
@@Thesusoperator well no shit Sherlock
@@BoneShark420 what are you gonna do now cupcake?
Yes, I was going to ask if this was the RXP version as I don’t recall the regular X line to have the optic plate separate from the rear sights. I just bought mine recently and it was not like that (manufactured April 2022). It seems like a RXP and not just a regular x line? Can someone confirm. Thank you
I'm just glad they finally got rid of the m17 sight that was also the red dot mount
That is freaking awesome bro 😳🤣✌️🍺🇺🇸
I like the P365 xl. However, I much prefer the P320 Compact (3.9inch barrel) with Sigs custom slide and Wilson Compact grip module. I like a larger pistol and the modularity. Additionally I've over 5000 rds without a failure. The p320 has shown to be one of the most reliable pistols on the planet. This pistol and a P229 are my edc. I'm a Sig fan ... big time!!😁
I don’t know how comfortable i would be owning a 9mm. You know they were designed to blow out your lungs!!!! 🤣
And turn you to dust !
Step down to the .380 maybe???
What a Brandon, huh? Lol let's go.
Scary stuff
Great Review, Mr Graham where did you get the p320 subcompact frame? I have been looking everywhere with no luck! Looking forward to seeing the shooting portion of the X compact review.
One of the online clearance houses, it was around ten bucks.
I’d like to see a comparison video between the Sig P320 X-Compact & the Walther PDP F-Series 3.5”.
Interesting for concept
@@GBGuns
Great channel btw. Keep up the good work!
Beautiful #SigSauer #P320 #XCOMPACT
I have one for 2 years now , kinda weird because when you stage the trigger the back of the slide will move sideways and the trigger have an echo . It shoots well and easy to hit your target. Sig sight picture is different from other gun . The frame is the same with the sig 250 hammer fired double action only.
Really wish they made one in 40 cal or an xten compact would be amazing.
I just love mine but I’ve never had any problem with any of my P-320’s. Add to the What’s For Dinner test: my practice ammo is a 124 gr. truncated cone TEK coated lead Missouri Bullet over 5 grains of WSF and shoots perfectly in all my P320’s. The only pistol it won’t feed in? My CZ P-01 Omega. I have to use the FMJ’s I loaded up for my VP9.
Full disclosure, my XCompact is a really P320 Sub Compact that I added the X trigger and X grip to. Virtually the same thing and much more compact and lighter than my G19 clones. I may get a “real” one for the RDS capability. Or not. P365XL works fine for carry.
The 3 mag one comes only with the Police/Military discount ones I believe
This was my first dot gun like 2 years ago but it seemed so bulky I didn’t carry it. Sold it. Got the 365XL. Ehh I at least carry it
This gun, especially with the rear sight not on the optic cut cover plate, is begging for Holosun EPS. I'm waiting for someone to do a video on this combination, to see how well the stock sights cowitness with the optic.
Do they come standard with a dovetailed rear sight now?
This or the beretta px4 storm compact carry? I'd get the Rex 01 compact but I can't tell if it's thicker than a bersa tpr9c.
Just had SIg replace the Slide Stop for free, hated it (just purchased)
they change the optic plate and retain the iron sights. very nice.
Is this the new way? Most I'm seeing online have the optic plate and rear sight attached
@@CramcrumBrewbringer that's how mines is
Yes. It's a rolling change Sig made. Most of the online shops are using stock photos which are out-dated, but check with them before ordering.
Is it possible to put a safety on this?
Can somebody please help? What mags work for this I see sig sells compact version but does that fit x compact?
The Sig P320x better than Glock 26
More rounds of 9mm 15 per magazines
And night sights.💯👍
I got a look at this one a couple of months ago & found that the slide was very difficult to manipulate even though I liked the ergonomics. Does this gun require a break-in period for ease of manipulation like the P365 models do?
Not that I'm aware of, but in general the shorter the recoil spring is the stronger it has to be.
Slide to frame play??
Hey Graham, are you seeing any movement of the FCU when taking up slack in the trigger? I have 2 365XL's and one has it and one doesn't. Wondering if having a front instead of a rear receiver pin setup makes a difference.
None. It could be your grip module isn't holding tightly enough.
@@GBGuns Yeah, Sig says it's normal and all FCUs do it to some degree.
I seemed to like the way this firearm felt in the hand, much better than the p365 x macro. Is SIG still experiencing problems with the 320 series, in which the firearm fires on its own, or have they addressed and corrected the issues? Thanks!
They corrected that a long time ago. Come to find out most of the people who claim that happened had a agenda behind the whole feasko. The Other had something hung on the trigger go figure
Was fixed long ago like the first gen Glocks , I think it was user error on both….
My mags have individual counts on the back.
You have a different rear sight than I'm seeing online, where they are attached to the optic plate. Is there a difference in models?
I think Sig made a rolling change. Unfortunately online retailers don't always update their images. The safest way to know what you're getting is to look up the specific SKU# you want on the manufacturer's website, then make sure the retailer is listing the same SKU.
Thanks!
Aluminum is nice. I thought my fishing rod was good too go but nope. I’ll put it this way. If you are a person who enjoys walking desolate stretches of coast line ,chillaxing & watching to see what might happen.but guess what. Apparently they have been doing some serious engineering with that gear. I’m a ultralight fishing guy. 1 rod & a ziplock in the pocket guy.Dk if you fish but guess what the updated rig from last mid 90s is costing..give up. Around 1k. This is heirloom quality top shelf stuff. Fall is my fave on that hobby so I am fairly certain that a k100 will be afforded before the fall. Anyhow. Rambling, thinking I remember that y’all are about as far as you can get from any ocean in any direction but if you do dabble check the newer /newish van stahl line. If you don’t,try it out. You might love it. At the very least you get a lot of good no ppl around beach/shark tooth searching time & the right time of year…right barometric sitch, something might just pop off. One of the “You have to see & feel it thangs in life “. Good quality stuff ,the precision machine work would interest you if nothing else. is goodqiality stuff. Period. Alright back to work. L8r
Whoa....k
We can't get these in California because it's not on the "roster" (it's stupid, I know...)
Had to buy and PPT a P320 to use its FCU and buy the Xcompact parts from Sig Sauer store. The total cost went around $1.2K but it was worth it, considering the stupidity of our government...
Are those iron sights stock? I thought the iron sights has ears on them.
Yes they are out of the box. We rarely modify things we review (it's not fair to you or the subject), and if we do we'll tell you what we did and why.
11:10🖤❤
We make that check on every pistol we can!
what is the birth date of this gun?
I don't care for Sig striker firearms personally. I do not care for the grip angle, nor the tiny grip with no way to adjust it with removable back straps. The inner frame looks very cheap also. Bent metal. This is just me though. The Xcarry may work for others. Great review, keep up the good work.
P320 x compact or the new Mete Mc9
This is the X Compact
The sig p365 is plus p rated, I suspect the p320 is also..🤔

Speak for yourself, I’m a lefty and love the ambidextrous slide release
I'm a lefty too, just learned to shoot decently with my right to make guns easier to use
