I went with the 3.6 M&P. I have small hands and this has been the best fitting double stack that I’ve tried and I love the aggressive grip. The S&W came in nearly $200 dollars cheaper after my initial browsing and the mags are certainly cheaper too.

As an M&P fan boy, I shot the Xcarry at a range as a rental and I REEEALLY liked it. I liked it in a way I can’t really explain honestly. And yes….. the sights were awesome.

I’m fortunate to have both and like them equally. Both have different qualities I enjoy. The shield 3.1 performance model is great concealed carry option. While the sig sauer p320 Xcompact is also a great carry option. Shoot ability goes to the p320. While the shield just feels great all the way around. Very hard choice. Great review!

The modularity of the sig is for me the game changer!
    P320 can convert to:
P320 X5, Full Size, XCarry, Compact or XCompact as well as the following calibers:
    9mm | 38 | 40 S&W | 45 ACP
    All via x-change kits
You can even change the grip sizes to better fit your hand size.
It’s the AR-15 of hand guns...

I recently bought the Sig P320XC and I love it, the trigger pull is excellent for a polymer gun. The X-Ray night sights are well illuminated at night and the grip stippling could be a little more aggressive but none the less still a very well performing firearm.

Well, we do know that the M&P 2.0 Compact came right out of the production gate with ZERO issues. The thing has been superbly accurate, impeccably reliable, impressively ergonomic, exquisitely affordable, uniquely American and astoundingly durable. Though I don’t own the Sig, the grip frame felt like it was made of a cheesy grade of plastic. Note I said that it “felt “ that way to me. I have no clue how durable the plastic really is. The M&P appears to have more attention to detail to me. The chassis design really isn’t a selling point for me though I could see how some would like it.
I also have to be honest and say that the rollout of the 320 was a disaster and it’s takes a long time to overcome a bad new product problem even after it’s been corrected. Obviously, they are both good guns but I just feel more confident with the 2.0 .

I don't like the hinged trigger either which is why I put an Apex trigger on my S&W M&P 2.0 sub compact, along with Truglo TFX Pro day / night sights. For me this is the perfect combination for my EDC carry. Love Sigs too though, I have a couple of Sig pistols as well.

I now have both of these fine firearms and have included the S&W in my rotation. My rotation also includes the SIG P365 and the H&K VP9SK. I wear OWB and IWB depending on my attire. Its difficult for me to say which I like the best. They are all super shooters however, out of the box the accuracy of the S&W blew me away. I love the flat trigger on the X Compact with the short, crisp reset. Thank you for your honest review.

I have a S&W for a different purpose, and it is a fantastic gun. And to be honest, i have never found a Sig that really impressed me. Until i discovered the X Compact..... I chose the Sig primarily for 3 reasons: !. Way more comfortable in the hand. 2. Tritium night sights. 3. Trigger.

KSGunguy… Thank you for another great non biased review of two great firearms. . I have the M&P 40 M2.0 and love it. I need to get more behind the trigger time before deciding to replace it with an Apex trigger. I also fell off the wagon and purchased the P320 X full-size with the Sig Romeo red dot included. The modularity along with the grip feel and that flat trigger just pushed me off that wagon. I am glad I did, as now I can maximize on the modularity and have my needs met without buying new firearms. If you have not done a video on the M&P 40 M2.0 5” with ported barbell and slide, you should try it.

I've been watching some of your vids (you have many of the guns I do), I want to say that I appreciate that your reviews seem very honest. Many of the other channels seems more like glorified commercials or glocksuckers, but you seem to give your honest feedback.
The thing I noticed most, and appreciated, is that you seem to do your reviews on stock guns. I noticed that you even mentioned and sorta redid this when it was brought up in your comments that you were testing an upgraded, though I guess technically still stock/factory/whatever version of the glock. I can not stand reviews where someone is comparing their favorite with upgraded trigger, grip, sights to a stock gun and just kinda mention that in passing.
    EDIT: Oh and I subbed.

The 320 X family is so very very gorgeous. They also need to do the M&P 2.0 SC, because I loved that little twelve shooter with its wedge floor plate. When I saw the 3.6 Compact, I assumed that it would be the original 1.0 Compact with the new textures and slide. Still, I dig that punchy looking balance.

My first time at the range with my new P-320 Compact .45 ACP today. I put 400 rounds of various ammunition weights and types downrange with zero malfunctions. The bore axis doesn't seem to be a huge issue. Maybe a little more flip. It shoots right to point of aim... my wife was just stacking holes with it... and she can rack the slide on it too. The grip could use a little more texture up high, but the shape is nice, I can get a pretty solid purchase on it, and it won't eat me up rubbing against my belly. I'm ordering a couple of holsters for it now because I will definitely carry this.
I asked the ol' lady on the way home which pistol (besides hers) is her favorite to shoot and she said it's a tie between my CZ 97B and my CZ P-01... and I can't argue with that!... but it seems the Sig didn't take the top spot.

When the P320 was first released and had the drop-safety issues, I had the opinion that maybe Sig should stay out of the polymer arena and thought that I'd never buy a Sig polymer gun. I cannot get used to how high the full and compact SIG handguns sit.The 365 is perfect sub-compact, but anything bigger just feels like a handgun from 100 years ago. That said, I can understand why the military felt that was not an issue coming from the M9. But to any civilian who has significant time on a "wonder nine" it is a bad adjustment.

I love the guns with Apex triggers but if I had to keep the standard pivoted, two piece trigger, I would not own one. The EZ has a decent trigger and is easy to conceal. Great to have so many choices today. My most accurate gun with the softest recoil is the Landon Tactical Beretta LTT Elite with the Holoson 507c-X2. It is a tack driver. The Wilson WCP320 is on my list to look at.

It went home to sig for a some tlc and came back stating it was in spec and still bulged brass making it unsafe with +P ammo and limited options for night sights with limited dot optic options unlike m&p and there 7 adaptors for any dot optic . The Sig went away to a new home and bought a M&P sku: 13144 . Optic ready with thumb safety and fiber front sight too for the same price as the p320XC was ! and was a LE only model for a couple years . I paid $549 brand new at our general store for my M&P sku:13144

The 320x series are undoubtedly nice but there' s something about these 2.0 M&Ps that have just turned me into a fan. Though I shoot both well, I've lost interest in these P320s as of recent for whatever reason. Could be the quality, value, reliability and the smooth shootability of these M&Ps. That flat trigger, to me, makes a WORLD of a difference; I shoot a lot better with one. My only issue though so far is mags...I ordered a standard size 320 10-rnd mag on Ebay & the seller said it wont sit flush with the bottom of the X Compact's grip module because of the difference in grip module size between the 320 & 320 Compact??? So Im a bit confused there? Theres no stock # on the X Compact mags so how do u know which ones to buy for it?

Well, I don’t have these but I do have the X-Carry and the 2.0 9C 4” and, while I like both these guns a lot, I don’t think that anyone who owns an “X” in any size is surprised by your conclusion.
To me, the X grip feels a bit better all around. Then there’s the trigger. It’s like Glock reviewers used to say, “All you have to do is throw in the (pick a custom trigger) and the (pick an improved sight) and the Glock is the better gun.” As if the extra $250 was baked into price and not an issue. Except then it is in no way a direct comparison. And spending $175 for the Apex trigger system is the only way to make this a toe-to-toe faceoff. You are pretty much buying a custom trigger in the X (no, not the snapping icicle but maybe the snapping carrot, as Bill Geissele would say).
You’re also getting built in night sights. I’m not a fan of these but the Sig X-ray system has won me over. Very, very nice.
So, we’re talking about a pretty big price difference here, stock, but I really think you are getting every penny’s worth for the X. And, remember, I really do like my 2.0 Compact. It’s a beauty. So maybe you can’t really lose either way.
