I played a changling deck and got destroyed by the angel who has protection from demons and dragons because I couldn't block them haha.

I cracked up when I saw that come out in Heroine's earlier changelings video. Sadly she had removal for it right away :P
Also have to remember you cannot mutate onto a changeling because they are humans. This has bitten me a couple times in my "elf" deck.
Glimpse the cosmos is a good way to draw cards in this deck.

As seen in the first game, Realmwalker sticking on board can give you some decent card draw itself!

Id add some copies of glimpse the cosmos cutting an orvar, gladewalker and the henges you indeed need card draw but all your creatures are giants so you get the boon of casting it again from the GY
Get rid or Orvar, build the deck around Ritualist and you will draw plenty of cards. Glasspool Mimic, Reflection of Littjara and Moritte of the Frost are all very handful when it comes to copy creatures, and you will have an army full of 4/4 shapeshifters with the Bears/Serpent combo.
Thanks for showing this off, I've been loving the idea of a serpent/leviathan + shapeshifter deck. I'm convinced to go give it a shot now

The Bears of Littjara? Those are indeed bears, so that's what you're supposed to hear. 🙂

I never would have thought to pair changelings with Serpent.
Changelings seems like a fun tool to let yourself build around any tribal card that normally can't be built around :)
Although hey, there are 14 sea monster-type cards that work with Serpent of Yawning Depths in standard right now, so maybe someone should try giving it a genuine shot haha.
@@jerodast I have one. Kiora Best the Sea Gods and Kora are a great match for the Serpent of Yawning Depths.
In game 2, against the Bant party at the end, could you have cast Absorb Identity on the Linvala and made all of the shapeshifters copies and got in for lethal? I realise that if they had sacked it then it would not resolve but they may have not realised it what it would allow you to have a bunch of flyers.
The problem with that is Linvala is a legendary and by virtue of the legendary rule I would need to kill all but one of my shapeshifters.
Wouldn't work either way since linvala is legendary

For next-turn lethal at 34:32, IF you'd drawn another non-creature spell, you could've Absorbed the Sprite Dragon into your shapeshifters, then cast the extra spell to pump 'em all for lethal :) I was desperately looking for nifty uses of Absorb Identity but they kept stubbornly eluding me, rawr.

Maybe add a few mazemind tomes for card draw? I agree that the great henge doesn't make sense because you don't have a big enough creature to get the cost down enough to cast.

I tried 10 variants of shifters, card draw is a huge issue that I can't fix yet.
Have you thought about swapping out some of the changelings that you don't like for other serpent's like stonecoil, yorion, and/or Koma? Koma is pretty nice and creates serpent tokens. Stonecoil could give you an option for getting great henge out.
I did seriously think of Yorion. Koma is way to expensive for this build. I'd have to put in some ramp or something. And believe it or not, Stonecoil *Serpent* is actually just a mere snake. Otherwise, it would definitely be in here.

@@KarlKatten I looked into that option, but since all the changelings are also humans, you can't mutate on to any of them.
Koma and lochmere serpent could be fun
I was surprised no Koma in the serpent deck, at least 1 or 2 copies would feel good.

I've been playing this in a janky way with Koma as a topper - works with serpents being unblockable, let's you sacrifice shapeshifters as serpents etc.
Kind of surprised you didnt run the pathway. Otherwise cool deck.

@44:50 against mono white, after everything you attacked with was unblocked and were already made into 4/4s, could you not have bounced the opponent's 1/1 double striker just to gain double strike? They would remain 4/4's as per your comment in the introduction.

Sweet! I kept looking for good targets for Absorb Identity the whole video, but every time I thought I had one, I realized it was legendary haha. (Especially that one against the party deck where if only Heroine could've copied Linvala she could've flown over for lethal.)

U should've targeted your ritualist with absorb identity cause theb u would copy with orvar and everything becomes ritualist, so when you recast it you draw a bunch

Whatever Wizards has done to Arena lately has made it absolutely unplayable. Constant mirror matches or mana screwed. I feel for the CZcams streamers having to gut thru this mess.
