"Hey i've got a $1000 bill"
Rick: "Best I can do is $999"
Chungo what is your profile
But he is taking a big risk
999.99
rick is so funny, i like him
For $999, you may as well spend it on a laptop at Best Buy instead
"If you say 26 (2.600), i'm going to ask you to leave."
Ok, i'll ask for 2.599 then.
Yeah, I was thinking what kind of a jackass thing to say to the guy. I don't know the guy's financial situation, but I would have just left telling Rick that was the last time I go to his store for any reason. You don't just shut people down with ultimatums like that. I guess with all the fame and fortune he has acquired, Rick has reached a point where he simply does not care and will say whatever he wants.
It's almost as if you have never been to a pawn shop. There are some fucking assholes out there.
Tessa Mahardhika Sugiarto Lmao
Scott McGraw It’s the way businesses work

JJPOD Gaming lol
That guy totally got pressured into making the deal lol
Do you not know how business works? You buy low, sell high. If you don't understand that, you shouldn't be posting on here!
@@Locutus r/woosh
The show is fake
That guy was easy pickings and Rick took full advantage. The guy looked nervous and desperate, which is never a good thing if you want a good deal.
dude its staged so we dont even know if they actually sell that for that price
The deals are already decided back stage and what you see here is scripted.
Sutirtha Misra actually they get cherry picked when they come in the store in real life none of the pawn stars are actually there. When something show worthy comes in they set them up with pawn stars to put it on the show. What you see is an actual deal going down however the people in the background are extras to put on the show to make it look like a normal day at the shop.
@@insanesam0827 i dont believe that. What we know for a fact is that they don't record in the real store, meetings are planned ahead of time, both the seller and buyer does research ahead of time.
But i don't think all the dialogue is scripted
everything in life is scripted even me typing this was pre-ordained by the voice of god

Dude got robbed.
He agreed to it so he didin't, he wasn't just smart enough to grade it by himself and then value it
@@smierckonfidentom94 doesnt matter. He still got robbed
He needed money for gambling. He probably lost in the Casino as well.
Kelsey Matthews getting it done soon just wait
Woah with the internet why would you take anything to a pawn shop ......drugs
wtf, as a collector I would not sell that for less than 10k
That's what auctions are for, pawn shops are for quick cash.
Yep, if you sold it at auction you could be paying 30% commission, plus if you set a reserve you will be paying a % of the reserve price up front, plus other fees. And you would have to wait weeks to get the money I'm guessing.
But as a collector you probably would have had it graded before taking it somewhere to sell it. If he'd done that Rick would have offered him more as the risk would be less.
Exactly or more than that, poor guy he sold it to cheap.
Well I guess you are going to keep it forever, the bill is not in mint condition, if it was it "could" sell for that.
It's actually mad. This was the first time the "expert" didn't come in haha.
Customer: Can I have change for a *dollar?*
Rick: Best I can do is *75 cents.*
@SKITTL 3Z ill go for 81, anything higher and you need to get out of my shop.
Actually know of sit years ago at a hospital snack shop wherein a guy exchanged his silver dollar for (4) quarters because he wanted to buy a candy bar. Silver then saw a spot of $5/oz. That was some tasty chocolate bar. 🍫
That was gangsta Rick, you just flat out robbed that guy.
No.
r0bw00d Gargle razors kiddo.
Says the guy who, despite not knowing how business works, thinks he's being clever by opening his mouth. Kiddo.
r0bw00d Why are you going to every comment about this ripoff and saying the same thing?
The bigger question is why dumbasses like you keep going to the comments section and spouting the same stupid nonsense. "I don't understand the true nature of what I"m watching, so I'm completely justified in telling others about how I feel about it and believing that I'm so smart about the subject to comment upon it and/or warn them against this bad behavior that I think I'm seeing even though I did no research into the matter whatsoever!"
What 's the point in having a brain if you're not going to use it?
I swear this show teaches me more about history then my world history class 😂
So true. I tell my wife the same thing.
Gabriella Hernandez American? Do you actually learn any European history too?
Gabriella Hernandez true
So true same😂😂😂😂😂
no wonder you're failing.
I love how Rick always makes the customers like he is doing THEM a favor and than takes them for 50% of the value, in this case more.
Guy : I’m having a heart attack, Call 911
Rick : Best I can do is 9
"If you ask for 2,600, I'm gonna ask you to leave."
Jesus Christ Rick. Calm down
When he's making deals, he can't play Mr nice guy if he's trying to keep the doors open. Most pawn shops won't negotiate at all, and are many times more rude about it
Hahaha.
"In 2007, an auction sold for $80000"
"How about $2500" 😭
I am sure that wasn't the same $1,000 bill.
That's in 2007 bud
Yea but there’s gradings on bills like Pokémon cards. This is a 25 grading. The best grading is 70/70. So too sell a 25 grading bill for 2500 is still a low blow but 80k for a 25grading bill would be crazy
Then he should have sold it at an auction and not a pawn shop.
Prob a diff grave
Lmao. the bill now belongs to the old man.
Nope.
@@JB-vt5sz Yeah. Not anymore. 77 wasn't even that old.
Along with that huge chunk of Silver that 1 dude brought in haha
@@benfrankog6111 I'm pretty sure the guy with the Bronze Madonna traded for the silver.

He seemed so afraid lol
Lol he did
His grandmother was looking for her stash

He looked intimidated lol
Thats what Rick took advantage of
Guy: I have first series 1890 100 dollar bill star note with a major printing error in gem uncirculated condition, I'm looking for $200k
Rick: Most I can do is $3 and a piece of string, and thats taking a huge risk.
Yawn.
jon sepek 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
You forgot a used condom and dryer lint
Big 'Ol Dingus why is this true
Watching a lamb going to be slaughtered. 😂
"Ive seen dollars like this go for 10s of thousands so im going to buy it from you for 2,500"
Rick: "If you say 2600, I'm gonna tell you to leave!"
Me: "2599"
So initially he says 4-5k, gets it graded and now it’s 7k. Talk about a huge profit margin by lowballing the guy.
Your point?
the grade was higher then he expected.
he took a risk still, because if it wouldve been graded 15-20 it wouldve been 4-5k
it just happen to be more.
Rick took all the risk by buying before knowing the grade of the note. He paid $2,500 for it and then spent more money to send it off to be graded. There was a possibility that it would come back with a lower grade and he could have lost money in the transaction. He didn't lowball on the offer. He offered the amount that he was willing to risk. Had the customer walked in with the note already graded to be worth around $7,000 then Rick probably would have offered around $6,000
The 1000$ bill of the guy isn't that mint and Rick ordered 1000$ bill is mint.
Fun fact: Due to inflation, $1000 in 1918 would be worth $17,000 in 2019.
Whoever owned this would've been better off spending it in 1918 than holding onto it as a collector's item.
"I dont know why you're examining it, its already been graded " 😂😂😂
This shows how masterful of a negotiator rick is, dude got played like a fiddle
"Nothing better than a crisp $100 dollar bill." Old Man speaking truth.
2:29 Rick: "If you say $2,600 I'm going to tell you to leave"
I would have asked for $2,590 😀
The guy could’ve sold it somewhere else for 5k plus
Robert's face at 2:18 looks like he's saying, "I need as much money as I can get. I got a slot machine calling my name right now"
Bruh at that price it was sold not even adjusted for inflation.
Why did that guy seem like he just stole that thing and pawned it off as soon as he could
Why are you examining it? it's already been graded
Yep. Clever writers.
Ikr
It’s fake.
crystalidx They're not even in the actual pawnshop.. It's crazy that people still don't get the concept of "reality shows".

"If you ask for $2600 you can leave" ....I would have left, a happy rich man.
Luc H its a set so probably not.
Old man say's I'm gonna sit here and examine this thing for a while and y'all get back to work😂😂
This show is simply showing your way of scamming people.
I like how Rick studies these things all night then pretend he's a genuis on camera.
Seller, "2500 cash?". Rick, "No,2500 jellybeans and an IOU for a melted snickers bar"
i love how his name is just old man
That's like my dad when wanted something he'd just say "Give it up."
This was larceny.... There isn't a single one of these listed on Ebay (with worse grades) for less than 20k
Billy Ailshire listings are different from sale prices
Yup... People can list all they want.. Anyone can list million dollar to one thousand dollar.
So if u see a pair of shoelaces for 10k on ebay you gonna belive it?
And if you check sold listings, the highest sale price anytime remotely recent was 2,550 and the vast majority of them for less than 1,700.
Cash money. Folks want cash immediately. eBay takes a cut. A d you have to wait.
Mr. Brown and the federal reserve got along famously.
who??
haha this was funny when corey laughed. he was like "haha u fool" lol
A large house lol old man cracks me up !!!
"I don't why you are examining it, it's already graded..." 🤣

I thought he was an aggravating chiseler.
Mr Brown used this note famously.

Please who is Mr brown
Please stop with the Br. Brown shit. It's Pawn Star video cancer. Be more creative. Thanks.
1000dollars in 1918 adjusted for inflation is $17,541.52 today.
The creature from Jekyll island is what rick is trying to explain
I would have thought that the scarcity of the 1918 1000 dollar bill (only 150 made for that year) would be worth more than 7K regardless of condition. Not enough to go around for collectors.
Big Barney It certainly is.
You'd think so, but there's a buttload on eBay, that have sat for years because they're all at triple(or more) what they're listed at in Red Book
Look at that guy, he obviously wasn't interested with the history lesson..
On Ebay on March 17, 2021 (serial numbers matched). The seller (in Atlanta) was asking $20,000. This show occurred in 2012-13.
Always nice to see Richard Benjamin Jr. He was my favorite.
"If you say 2,600 I'm gonna ask you to leave." Smh
Lmfao I miss the old man😂😂👏 R.I.P
"$2500 Cash?".
"Cash Money!".
"Deal...... Alright lets go write you up a Cheque!".
1:25 Rick: "That's who prints all our money and who was printing it back then."
The Federal Reserve does "not print all our money"... the Bureau of Engraving and Printing does.
Open the damn thing rick
Worth $7,000 and only have the guy $2,500... what a joke
alpha fit, gotta make a profit...
Gotta make a profit and they didn’t know the grading on it yet. The dude should have gotten it graded before walking in.
Droid96, yeah, he should have.
The fact the guy hadn't had it graded increased the risk, so reduced the price he got for it.
Maybe guy couldn't afford it. Ironically, now he can.
RIP 🙏🏼
Rick should really just always be dressed as Dr.Evil with his “how bout NO”
poor guy .. those things sell for atleast 20k+

Inflation Results
$1,000 in 1918 equals $17,994.45 in 2018.
Amazing.
“My Grandma actually gave this to me”. Grandmas be giving the best gifts.
Its worth around $8000 right now for heavily circulated condition. Many worth more depend on how fine the condition is.
The Old Man likes money. Bet he's counted a few dollars in his day. Pretty cool bill. Dont see those everyday. Was fun to watch. Great video
Guy: I’ve got a $1,000 bill here.
Rick: Best I can do is $200, and I’m taking a big risk here.
Guy: But it’s worth 1k!
Rick: I’ll go up to $250 and it’s gonna sit in here for a while
Guy: Deal
If you watch the video, you will realize he was offered more than that. It doesn't make sense to make fun of someone, when the video you are commenting on disproves your assertion.
忘れたくなかった bruh someone cant take a joke
lmaoo
Sorry you don't understand how business works.
This kind of comment so boring lar
Lots of people on here talking about the seller getting scammed. If you don't find out what something is worth or do the initial work yourself (get it graded) than don't expect the top dollar. These guys are running a business. The seller just wants some cash. I don't know how much it costs to get something graded but am guessing is doesn't cost 2k (the amount more the guy might have gotten. The seller screwed himself not Rick.
Jthomas Annillo totally agree. It’s the sellers fault.
Dude you realize, the pawn star family doesn’t even ever work their anymore, they come in and just film for the show and leave, so it’s not the sellers fault
So its ricks fault cause he gave a guy 2500 bucks for an ungraded 1000$ bill? He didn't even have it checked out. The only thing that rick could have done different is told the guy to get it graded and come back. But lets say it came back and it really was fake do you think rick would call that guy back asking for the 2500 back? No that would not have happened.
Dude you realize that I don't care if they work there anymore?
You go to a pawnshop expecting to get a fraction of the value. It's the point of pawnshops, they pay less but you get money immediately instead of spending 2 years looking for buyer that will pay 'full price'.
This channel (pawn star)is full of respect in all subject, good luck always and i love you PS......
Hi! Thanks for being a #PawnStars fan!
Seller:I have one of the most rarest dollar a 1000$ bill
Rick: I can give you a nickel and a piece of gum
I love how he low key calls out the federal reserve. He is totally right to believe it was shady cause it is.
Yup!
No coincidence the federal reserve, IRS, FBI and ADL were created after the lynching of B'nai B'rith president Leo Frank who raped and killed a little girl.
Me: I have 5000 in cash
Rick: I'll give you 2k but that's a risk
3:20 I love Corey's laugh
Old man: the grading isn’t good enough, I need to examine some more.
Me: I have a Goose that lays Golden Eggs. Rick: I'm not that Hungry! I'll give you 5 bucks.
😆
Guy: Hey I got a 100 dollar bill, and I would like to exchange it into tens
Rick: Best I can to is 79 and Im taking risks
