The way you located the snorkels on the pod look awesome! Good call to do it your way
Thank you! The quad looks super aggressive now. I love it!
Nice job, I like way you finished it off.
I know all about snorkel kits, most seem the be lacking in details with the instructions!
Thank you! Yah I’ve heard most kits aren’t great with their instructions. You’d think that would be their main priority 😅
Love seeing your vids pop up keep up the amazing work you’ve got me through a lot of sadness
A tip: you can watch series at InstaFlixxer. Me and my gf have been using them for watching loads of movies lately.
@Mekhi Zyaire definitely, been watching on InstaFlixxer for since december myself :)
@Mekhi Zyaire Yea, I have been using instaflixxer for years myself =)
@Mekhi Zyaire Yea, have been watching on instaflixxer for years myself :)
They came out good. Trying to snorkel mine my self and what a pain. I’ve got the hoses up but can’t figure out the right angles for the pvc and I don’t want 100ft tall snorkels 😂🤣
Good job on the kit looks good and good idea with that bracket. My factory one wasn’t much easier lol
I was think king about doing the factory one but I don’t think it does the belt box
Informative video, looks good man.
Thank you!
Its been a min...LOL! Glad to see another vid.
I know right
We’re back! Haha. We’re getting back to weekly videos now. The month of December got a little crazy between work, the holidays, and some other projects. Thanks for the support as always!
Absolutely love the kit but on the xt 1000 gotta be really carful where ya put holes cvt intake hits the rad cap cvt exhaust likes to push the plastics out biggest thing is trying to get the dash to snap back in (zip ties work wonders)
How did you fit the hoses under the pod to be secure
Hi I’m from the uk and have just brought a 2020 650 xmr I’ve only been out on it twice and I’ve had some slight problems lol I’ve gone in a mud hole and spit the alloy, a rock must have got wedged between the calliper and rim. Also on the way home my pal flagged me down to stop as the exhaust was on fire from grass that had got trapped between the exhaust and heat shield, lucky we was travelling through snow so managed to put it out haha! I’m going to upgrade the exhaust to stop debris getting caught up in the stock one! Anyway the videos are great 👍👍 ....... I’ve just stripped it down and it’s took the calliper out with it, I don’t see the point in them calliper guards being so close to the rim I think I might cut them off all around as I can’t see a great benefit other than rocks being able to wedge and destroy both the rim and the calliper
Congrats on the new ride! We appreciate the support. A lot of guys upgrade to 14" wheels to help prevent the rocks getting stuck. As for the exhaust i think that is a problem that the can am's have.
As Seth said, either larger wheels or remove the factory “scrapers/caliper protectors. They do nothing but cause issues. The exhaust heat issue is definitely common with the outlander xmrs. I always check for mud in that cavity before heading home from mud riding or ride through a stream deep enough to get the exhaust under water to hopefully get most of any dry debris off. Easiest fix is a tune to help enrich the air fuel mixture
Im in the process of doing my 06 outlander 800 , air intake and cvt are basically complete, but what about fuel breather line?? And I've seen some vids where quads have over 5 small 3/8 or something tubes being ran up, what all is needed?? THANKS FOR ANY HELP FROM ANYONE! PLEASE
When are you gonna test them out bro
Where do I get air box hose extension?
Did you have to take her to a shop to get it fixed up after sinking?
Hey Boys
I really like the look of the factory horn tjat seth has. Do you think this kit's CVT pipes and the BRP Horn could be installed together?
Yes they can. Only you're buying 2 kits. It would take a little longer to mock up, but it would work.
Might need a pipe wrench to remove a 7 mm???????
What was install time
What about your vent lines where are you going to run those?
Keeping the vent lines where they are for now. I made them so they’re at the top of the gauge cluster. If the vent lines go under, I’d only have about 3” of snorkel out of the water which would be sketchy
Now your unit can swim, did you do anything on your ECU, spark plugs, electrical plugs and most importantly the dashboard? Are they waterproof? Nice video bro
I didn’t because the 2020s come with dielectric grease from the factory on everything. Never trust the factory though. Go through and dielectric grease anything that isn’t already and you’ll be good. Most importantly the spark plug boots where the contact the spark plug, the wires, and where they connect to the coil. If these areas get wet the quad can shut off in the water on you
@@LetDirtFly thanks for the reply bro
Great video! Would you recommend this one over the one Can-Am offers?
It depends on how deep you plan on going. The factory upgraded snorkel only raises the air intake, so you still have the potential of getting the cvt wet if you go anywhere near the handlebars. I like this set up because even if the quad gets tippy in deep water, i can visually see where all my intakes are and concentrate on keeping them dry lol
@@LetDirtFly That's good to know! Didn't realize the Can-Am one was just the engine air intake. Well if/when I'm ready to start any mods like this, I'll this in mind. Cheers!
Seth has the can am one and it only raises the air intake. If you want all 3 raised i would go aftermarket.
@@LetDirtFly Thanks for the info Marshall!
Well it’s been a year since this video , how do you like the go deep snorkel kit ?
So far so good! Haven’t had any issues yet from the snorkel system itself. Recently got some water in the belt box, but it looks to be coming from the rubber washers around the bolts that secure the cvt cover.
Can you let me know which marine grease Seth used on his?
Seth actually has no clue lol, but he got it at an auto parts store. Most of them are the same and are pretty thick and sticky compared to normal grease
3 tubes, ones intake, ones cvt exhaust what's the 3rd one? Cvt intake
yes sir
Is there a snorkel that connects to the cvt from the rear to the front? My 2020 outlander 450 has a stupid breather that runs from the back of my cvt housing to under my seat. If I go in water up to that point I'm screwed. So just wondering if this kit includes everything and runs all the way to the front. I couldn't watch the whole video because I'm on my 15 min break.
The kit includes everything to snorkel both cvt and airbox.
@@LetDirtFly thanks I ordered it, and got it all put on. Now to clean it up, and make it look good. I couldn't get the halos to fit on properly though, because the way the holes are cut the snorkels don't line up correctly. I went by the diagram in the instructions, and let's just say they were off for my year can am 450 outlander. I seen that the 2018s are completely different than the 2020s. My outlander doesn't have that easy removal panel under the front rack. The whole front plastics have to be taken off differently. They screw down to a bracket underneath, and then clip into the foot rails. The hoses also had to be ran a little differently as well. It looks good, but a little off compared to yours.
@@kingdon9690 some times you have to modify stuff to get it to work for you. As long as she doesn't take on any water she's good to go.
@@LetDirtFly I noticed the middle snorkel isn't sitting right, the hole needs to be cut a bit higher so it can come up even with the 2 side snorkels. I gotta get my cut off tool out, and make some adjustments to the dash. What I don't like is I can't get the one side to snap down now after installing it.
@@kingdon9690 not sure without seeing it
I'm going to check if my shop vac hose is missing butchered that quad WTH
Lol that’s basically what the tubing looks like. I’ve got something big planned for the gauge cluster which is why I didn’t mind messing up the cover
did the kit come with a belt box exhaust extension
Yes it did.
@@LetDirtFly oh yeah I’m getting that
Hey buddy one more question, did the kit come with a seal for the air box?
No it didn't. Went with aoutsiders motor company seal
Who’s yellow Polaris in the background
It’s one of my HVAC customer’s quads. It’s a 2002 Sportsman 400. I do side work on quads for fun to learn about them. This one needed brake pads, both master cylinders, tires, oil change, cv boot, and a few other things. You’ll actually see it soon on the channel!
@@LetDirtFly sweet love your videos buddy.
I wouldn’t replace that plastic just leave the hole
Yah I’m going to actually just make a plate to cover it for now
LetDirtFly dang first off i always get those tires off before I work on those machines . They take too much room room for me fat head plus always good to get the muck off where you can see it. Good job on the. Snorkel
@@Chris-no8qi haha, Marshall’s skinny so for this job he managed to fit in there!
Just got my 2021 XMR. Want to come to Ohio and help do mine ?? 😂😂😂.
Haha that’s a far ride for us!
@@LetDirtFly well it was definitely worth a shot 😂😂.
Love your vids bro can u shout me out in your next vid
I like your guys content but 1 thing driving me crazy!!! Can you please pronounce radiator correctly! Ray dy a tor. Thats how most Americans pronounce it. Js. Idk why but drives me crazy!
Around out parts everyone calls it a Rad of Rad-E-Ator lol. Tomato tomato it’s the same thing lol. Look how the Brit’s and Australians say aluminum. 😂 Al- U-Minium
@@LetDirtFly i get that but its a different country... I still like your channel and will still watch you guys but for some reason its like nails on a chalk board to me. Im not southern really. Im central Illinois. So idk why it is so different here. Anyway. Keep making good content. Maybe just say cooling fins or something. Lol!
Just get a highlighter geez
