Actually really sad that James is so nervous to not film kill counts for a few months so that he can experience what will be the happiest day of his life, marrying Chelsea.. A lot of sacrifice was made to create this channel and a lot of sacrifice will continue to be made to keep this channel going. Go be happy and take your break James. Even though we’re going to miss you and your amazing theatrics you bring to this channel, you and Chelsea deserve to live your life. Hope you guys have a great break and even greater wedding! Like what happens to people unfortunately unable to leave the US before the purge starts and then how other countries would deal with their citizens dying. And or if other countries agree/disagree with the purge. It would be cool

the third purge movie touches this a bit when tourists show up for the sole purpose of participating in the purge and the TV shows show that other countries were planning on getting their own version of the Purge... but for the most part were struck down

My favourite thing about this channel is that I can have an understanding of a movie either before I watch it if I’m unsure of using up time on it or after if I didn’t really understand the movie.There are plenty of these videos to keep us going, whether uploading was going on or not. You know...this honestly feels like a natural progression for the Purge movies, what happens when the people dont stop killing just cause the horn says not to. Just surprised this didnt happen soon in the timeline.

This actually does happen in the show! A guy ends up a serial killer weeks after the purge because he gets bloodthirsty from the purge. This becomes the origins for one of the famous purge mask/makeup worn in the movies. It's a decent show for anyone interested in possibly watching it.

@@travishowell290 he literally said he’s coming back in summer, plus it’s his hobby and his job, I don’t think he’ll quit, but he needs a well deserved brake. Making videos every week for 5 years straight can be difficult especially with how much time and effort and editing goes into these types of videos (and the second part or that 6 months will probably indeed be spent working on the film which I’ll most definitely watch)

Content creators shouldn't have to be scared to take a break. Especially, when they're of the caliber of dead meat. I have a good feeling about the future of this channel. Helped me get comfortable with a genre I struggled with since I was a kid. And I'll be here through tremors into the future. Congrats on the wedding! Stay healthy!
Edit: people sure like "correcting" others. Uhhhh I'm just saying, it's kind of a gross reality that taking a break equals the death of your channel.
sometimes if channels are gone for too long they lose all there viewers and are replaced by copycat youtubers youtube is alot more competitive than most think

Yeah and with just a "break" I'd completely agree. One of my fav streamers recently took a month off after years of streaming and that was just fine; you've got hours of content to go back to and check anew.
But "til Summer 2022" is a tad bit more than a month and you can only rewatch Kill Counts so many times.
I know for sure, that I'll simply forget this channel even exists and then maybe check it again in a year or so. That whole "new person at the helm" thing NEVER works for established formats. It's always worse and it almost always leads the original creator down a spiral of "I can just keep letting that guy do this and chill out" until the original guy is completely gone and you've got another channel to purge off your sub list.
@@dowfreak7 Biggest example of the "new host, old show" not working was when Ray William Johnson quit doing Equals Three way back. It never had the same feeling as when RWJ did it.
James was worried about his channel after just a few of his videos didn't do as well as he thought. He deserves this but hopefully CZcams's algorithm and audience tolerate it.

Basically, in this channel I watch a horror movie without getting scared. LOVE IT!
The Purge is really a series that has grown into something fun and refreshing. Its a little heavy handed with its message, but the directing and pacing of them has really made them feel like treats to watch. I never would've expected this series to be done as well as as this when i saw the first one in 2013, but its really been a good fun one.
The writing might be bad. But was all the aspects of the movie bad? I liked the look. Could have done a better story or more subtle message

I seriously HATE that this movie takes place after Election Year. WHY UNDO THAT ENDING??!! WHY?!!! They could easy have this movie take place after The First Purge since there have been a lot of gaps between the prequel and the first movie. Instead they just ruin the ending of the third movie. Damn it.

I haven’t seen the Kill Count yet but I just want to say a few words: James, THANK YOU SO MUCH for the hours of quality content you have made; whether that be from the KC’s, the interviews, or any of the other things you have done. It’s been an awesome experience seeing the KC’s evolve into this iconic series that’s so well respected on YT, and rightfully so! It’s going to be weird not seeing you upload for about 6 months, considering you have been consistently uploading since 2017 (wtf FOUR YEARS WHERE’S THE TIME GONE FUCK THIS LMAOO) but I can’t wait to see what Zoran has in store for us and even more excited to see you back around the summer time. Thank you thank you thank you James for being one of the reasons why I believe YT still has creators that are both consistent in quality and genuine/ forthright in their videos, like yourself. I like how at around 10:20 someone uses a rocket launcher to the van. Rocket launchers were one of the purge’s ONLY rules (according to the originally purge movie) and he broke it (I guess they also had the only 12 hour rule too so…)
I'd say Tenoch Huerta has done well for himself since this movie. 😳 It is 100% true that all the greats got their start/recognition in horror.

Definitely will miss the Podcasts too, but Chelsea puts in so much work doing research for those, and James spends so much time on these Kill Counts they definitely deserve a break, every job gives vacation time but people on CZcams never get time off or very rarely when they definitely deserve it, after all CZcams is completely free to watch. Plus getting Married is stressful enough I'm sure it'll be nice knowing that afterwards they can relax.

i think it was great seeing Tenoch Huerta (Juan) and Alejandro Edda (TT) who played Rafael Caro Quintero and El Chapo respectively in Narcos Mexico, they’re pretty small actors as of now but seeing them in a big movie franchise is great

Caught me off guard, but it was pretty niiice.
I love the subtle humor mixed in which is why this show has always been great. “Im jealous of his gun knowledge - but at least im not a nazi”, followed by “gets shot by a rocket launcher - or whatever”. The humor is so on point.

I’m excited that he’s taking a break. I’m also excited for him to return. I just got married myself and I understand if he’d want to take longer than 6 months. Planning all of this is time consuming as all get out. Even with the new host I will continue to watch every episode religiously. Not only because I love the series, but because it also supports James and all his co-workers who all do an amazing job to make such a polished product

@Samuel Nowe The movie attacks RACIST white people. this movie came is portrayed through the eyes of immigrants,(specifically latinos), in America, which is obvious if you watched the movie or seen the kill count. they even have a white person learn somewhat from their ignorant ways. White people don't necessarily face the same underlying problems as minorities do, period. It's not propaganda, but you can argue it lacks nuance and has it has its shticks.

Year of 2020 mid summer during pandemic I had got dental surgery and I was in bed for a full week or little longer, I was on alot of medication and was only able to eat like soup and jello my whole jaw and teeth were hurting still a little. I was watching CZcams videos and was just watching James on the kill count and felt like i was apart just enjoying and him cracking jokes. I would also watch other CZcamsrs but I enjoyed James company alot by far. Can't wait to see him comeback

Its crazy to see how far James has made it since first discovering bis channel when he first started Friday the 13th kill counts. You definitely deserve a break, you can come back whenever you want
One thing that amuses me about the cops arresting the two defending themselves is that the people they killed were literally dressed in purge gear, were covered in blood that wasnt their own, and the cops are still like “heyyy… you two ordinarily dressed civilians are the problem”

I'm glad that James is taking a break. He is a large youtuber with a good reputation. Because he has such a large fanbase, he keeps posting to make sure his channel doesn't die. Although, this is unhealthy and can backfire just as the purge did on the N.F.F.A. It would be in his best interest to take a break from his channel and focus on life.

Great count to end the year off on as well as a temporary end to James' duties as host of the kill count. I've been watching more of LowCarbComedy recently and I know Zoran will do an amazing job. I wish James and Chelsea all the best, thank them them for entertaining me throughout the past 4 years and am looking forward to seeing James again in the summer of 2022. I wish a Happy New Year to everyone working at/with Dead Meat, you all definitely deserve it.
