Honestly, I low-key love how a running theme in this series is, "Yeah, some people are murderous assholes, but for the most part, humans are okay. They won't kill each other unless forced/ordered to, and some will even go out of their way to help each other." It's a strangely uplifting message in a horror franchise.
I also feel like it’s due to the fan base from the first one immediately talking about what kind of crimes they would do during the purge and most people actually not being like murder and instead planning robberies, lootings, or riots. That’s why seeing people looting in the First Purge at the beginning still does make sense, and honestly? I think it’s the first time it’s been shown as something actually done during the purge, while it was eluded to that armed robberies happen in Election Year, and then an attempted armed robbery was stopped in its tracks in that movie as well

there’s a deleted scene of him popping up and attacking them in their apartment (hence why there was blood on the floor) and he gets in a fight and killed by isaiah but they deleted it and replaced it with a dull boring ending smh
