You know, a Purge video game would be a pretty interesting concept. I could see it being a multi-story line, open-world style game taking place in a city of choice. Taking place within a 12 hour period, you play as a man who had lost his family in a previous purge. Spending the entire year filled with vengeance, he finds out the man who took their lives was a major gang leader. One-by-one, he kills them all till he makes his way to the leader.
This game could use a karma system, like in games such as Infamous or Watchdogs. Choices you make in game can affect the overall story, factions you work with, and ending. This can also have other consequences for your character (fun example. You can save a family of 3 but you have to cut off three fingers. This can have consequences on your combat capabilities, like slower reload times. But if you do, then you gain favor with a faction and/or your karma will increase to your favor.)
I feel like this would be good rough draft. But of course it would need planning and development.

2 Ideas for a purge game, an MMO that resets every three days, people have three days to prep on their server and then it goes down for 12 hours, tarkov style gunplay, everything resets after the purge, nobody starts with any advantage, randomised resources for every player and everyone gets different objectives that can be considered a "Win"
Or A party management style game where you try to protect your family throughout the purge

I agree cuz a lot of army soldiers sign up because of low income and unfairness of certain employments.
A majority of your Whites in the military (who make up the majority of combat arms/fighter pilots) would not support anarchy or anything resembling a far left government. Some non-Whites may be sympathetic but most people will compromise their values if it means they get a paycheck to feed and house their family.
We have recorded right wingers forming militia groups because they are veterans of the military. And who knows if the government has purge supporters?

I have been making a shirt out of pages depicting the main character from several books. I shall soon have my very own plot armour.
Will say with the purge movies never really got into them, I've seen reviews and breakdowns but it always comes back to the same thought in my head, you're effectively trying to kill off lower middle class and below.....So you're eliminating a massive chunk of the work force every year?...So what happens to all of the blue collar jobs necessary to keep all things functioning? eventually people will catch on and stop moving into America and just let everything collapse.

I see one common problem.
He makes suggestions that while are effective, are also often cold hearted or downright evil quite a lot with the assumption everyone (including the person who is s usually being sacrificed) agrees.
As someome who used to make suggestions and ideas that often left people out to dry or in some sort of trouble, you’ll face one of three responses.
1. People say no (as you admittedly suggested something fucked up)
2. They leave you behind
3. They make you do it.
Unless you’re with a group of sadists, half the solutions op and ideas you bring up to solve problems will be met with one of those three responses.
Yeah, all of his solutions are pretty short-sighted. The best long-term strategy (assuming you aren't a billionaire with your favorite doomsday bunker) involves organizing a group and facilitating a level of trust between each other. There's power in numbers, and while there's the issue of having to secure more resources to go around, it's easier to obtain larger amounts of resources when you're in a larger group of people. Humans realized that shit thousands of years ago without youtube and it's why we have civilization in the first place. It sucks when we do lose that foundation, and folk are prone to panic and fear, but as long as you establish and enforce rules for co-existing with each other, and communicate objectives for surviving and following plans for achieving them, people are willing to work together.
If you keep making these selfish lone-wolf tendencies, people aren't that stupid. They'll pick up on your shallow edgelord gameplan and isolate from you,or use your own medicine against you.
I would love to see a Purge movie where the protagonist either is or becomes an antagonist after spiraling into insanity.

Fun fact. The circle strategy you talked about when they were defending themselfs agianst the gang leader is also used in star wars. The clone wars during the 2nd battle of Geonosis
William Wallace used that strategy against the English army in the 13th century
The best to do for the mountain battle is to have some people up top keep enemy heads down while the group at the bottom flanks and takes out the remaining hostiles. For the bottom team, the best thing is to spread out to cover more ground and angles to eliminate hostiles.

In recent years people have been avoiding arrest and getting justice for wrongdoers by showing responding officers camera footage right on the spot. It's been shown in past _Purge_ flicks the government has cams and sensors everywhere so they know who's breaking the "no murder" policy any other time of the year. Imagine that, not being able to pick your own nose without someone knowing about it. >.>
How to survive any scenario:
Step 1: Be a main character to access the plot armor.
Step 2: Have friends to access the power of friendship.
That's all you need and you'll be set for life

I think even some horror movies use the power of friendship. Basically characters suddenly get much stronger because they work together for once.

Another point to make on the cage goat trap. It's only been 2 hours since the purge was over, that could've been easily a fatal trap that was set by purgers and was never recovered.
Also a point to be made about the route that should have been taken is that there was a group of people who hate Mexicans going to the Mexican border because they know most he guys gonna be there, if they simply went to the Canadian border most the the problems would be avoided, I Dont know about if you will be able to make it to Canada in time but even if you couldn’t it’s probably easy enough to sneak theought

@@singletona082 exactly what I thought till I watched some of his old vids! i think he just got tired of saying things like "I'd never be able to kill my best friend" since every vid he makes is on this kind of stuff and let's be real it's all about movies that are meant to be sadistic and make you think "what did I just witness?" you look at what people are willing to do to survive irl, you got cases of people eating there dead or a soldier killing a man with a plastic spoon. The Semi is actually a very good idea, it is a big strong truck capable about pulling a couple tons, and powerful enough to crush cars like nothing, just add a ram to the front and that’s a mobile home, you can fit two twin size mattresses in there and multiple places for guns too

I think what he meant was that if you cross the border you should paint the symbol as purgers may gun you down before you can wave the flag but if you choose not to crops the border don’t paint the purge flag and go to the military base
I thought so too. But I guess the thinking is: Purgers are actively going on the offensive, there's not roving bands of survivors hunting people, they're trying to gtfo and/or hunker down.
When you’re friends with cinema and in a life death situation:

The best place to be if your already in El Paso would likely be Fort Bliss as it is centered in the city and can operate as a safe zone. White sands is about 45 min-1.5 hours out from El Paso and not open to civilians at all outside of the Park and Museum for the desert. The best option is to head to the outskirts of city limits for the boarder and just go around the walls for the boarder.
The hardest part at that point is getting to a Mexican settlement. while there are locations that people will leave water and food for Migrants they are few and far between.
Honestly the best thing to do would have been to drive into the desert and camp out in New Mexico. There's so much open land (both reservation and national parks) and military bases where you can hide out. When it calms down a bit sneak to Mexico through the migrant trails.
God, James is gonna have his work cut out for him doing a Kill count for this.

If you shoot the ground in front of a car the bullet will usually ricochet along the ground under the car. keep that in mind if you’re taking cover keep away from walls too because the bullets can ricochet along the wall

In the high ground your more open the high ground can be bad in some situations maybe the guys with explosives ranged weapons could shoot down at opponents and the low ground could set up a strong hold hiding in the bushes sniping the enemy’s with sniper rifles and when they run out of out of amo they hide in the car barricade and use automatic rifles to kill the rest

While I can understand the reasoning behind going to a military base, I think its a mistake. First, you already said you'll be disguised as the enemy, so the soldiers won't see refugees, they'll see enemies coming. Second, you already stated they have critical resources to protect there, which means the soldiers are quite likely authorized to use deadly force and decreases the odds of being offered sanctuary there. Third, assuming the usually slow bureaucracy magically does come to an emergency decision to offer refuge on military bases, you have the same problem that you do at the border: choke points that are easy to attack. People waiting in line to get on base/post would be highly vulnerable, and odds are high that nobody is getting on base until they've been cleared, so the line is not going to move fast.

I do wonder how many within the military would flip and joining the purgers. Over time I can see many within the ranks being influenced by this forever purge group and slowly making units comprised of those with similar leanings. Get enough together and you can take over a base with ease from the inside.

Why does every movie make the soldiers look like fumbling messes. A well trained and well coordinated force can easily beat a larger unorganized unit
The main issue here is guerrilla warfare, which has proven to be extremely dangerous time and time again. Don’t get me wrong, there are definitely gonna be enough supporters of the soldiers that they’ll be able to counter the majority of the opposition, but it’s still gonna be much more bloody than head to head combat because you don’t know where the hell your enemies are.

Well if you're talking about the beginning of the movie, the employee and friends clearly wanted to enjoy the day. Who knows what they might have all done if not for the rescue. Being executed with a bullet to the head would be what you hope for in that situation if escape is not possible...
If you're talking about later on, it's because there were people among them they were willing to let live since they were white.
Neither situation stuck out as being forced or unbelievable. Was there another situation I'm overlooking where they stood around failing to kill main characters?
