The thing that confuses me is that right at the end, after the sirens have just gone off, the hospital is already fully staffed. Did the nurses/techs/hucs/doctors/etc all have to travel to work during purge hours, thus risking their lives? Did they stay in the hospital overnight, and if so, was the hospital itself declared a purge-free zone, or were they sitting ducks?
In the purge tv show they explain that hospitals are safe zones so crime is still illegal there. All staff, patients, and visitors sign away their right to purge in order to be there. They also check everyone for weapons before letting them in.

Go on a vacation on another country
Dont live in a major city
Prepare before hand
Be the camera man
Be one of the protagonists
Be rich
Dont be american
What about being a soldier and living in a fort or something? Pretty sure the government doesn't want their own active duty soldiers killing each other, nor do they want others raiding their forts. Pretty sure they also don't want people raiding military installations, plus they will always be guarded. As long as you're not selected to go on Purge duty, you should be fine.

If I knew there was gonna be a purge, I’d start preparing MONTHS in advance, I’d build a secret bunker disguised as my garden, get weapons, security cams for outside, food and water, a gaming set, decent WiFi and I’d be set for the night 😂
You could than, just earn money via hacking, manipulating the market or otherwise earn millions online
Gaming was your first mistake. You might lose and then rage and allow everyone to know where you are. I would not play videogames but rather watch the entry points to the bunker. You could get a family member or trustworthy friend (someone who wont kill you) and have them watch entry points in shifts so no one stands around to the point where their bored and falling asleep.

Sure, you might run into 5 people who got stuck outside and have to cross the entire city and are in this exact part of the subway, but also, there might be no one down there and now your buggy is probably stuck in a subway and you wasted a bunch of time driving down an empty tunnel?
