  • The war on Gaza has captured the attention of university students globally. Many have formed encampments on campuses, demanding their universities divest from and cut ties with Israeli institutions. Dr. Shabir Ally views this as a significant new trend reflecting heightened political awareness among youth who are advocating for justice for the people of Gaza. Dr. Safiyyah Ally mentions that this activism has led to numerous arrests, including those of students and professors, highlighting a concerning trend against peaceful protest. A judicial decision at McGill University in Canada upheld students' rights to peaceful protests, setting a hopeful precedent for fairness in handling such demonstrations. As these protests grow, they are providing hope to the people of Gaza and placing political pressure on world leaders. Dr. Shabir stresses the severity of the situation in Gaza and urges everyone to support the cause within legal and ethical bounds. Support for the student encampments is encouraged, including visits, resources, and moral backing, to sustain their efforts and amplify their message.

I am a man who is old enough to remember the demonstrations against the War in Vietnam. At that time there were similar encampments purportedly to protect the demonstrators against abuse. Years later it was revealed that a goodly portion of these camps were organized so as to provide a sheltering for non-student individuals who were present to shape the activities for agendas held by foreign governments or organizations. It has been my own experience in Life that anything of value does not need to be hidden behind a mask or conducted in the shadows, yet I see more and more of that growing. May Allah guide us to wear our heartfelt beliefs with pride and not be used to forment unrest to satisfy others. Alhamduilah.

I am Rhoda Dee's grandmom and I was an active demonstrator in the Vietnam protests. I was a student at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana from 1968 to 1972.
A HUGE difference between the protests today and those in the 60s-70s were that we demanded that the US pull out all GIs, all troops, from Vietnam. That was it; nothing else. We were not favoring the Vietnamese people or the Viet Cong over our GIs. Since there was a draft and many boyfriends were being drafted into active duty, we just wanted the war and killing of our servicemen to end. Our protest chants were "Make love, not war" and "War is not healthy for children and other living things"
      .
But TODAY's protests are about committing genocide against the Jews, in favor of muslims living "from the river to the sea..." where Jews are living. Todays protests are about favoring islamic terrorist groups like Hamas and Hezbollah over the people in the Nation of Israel.
Islam's scholars and muslims in the West do nothing about eliminating the many terrorist groups in their midst. And they do nothing to help their own kind in the way of Islam theocracies bordering Israel not taking in ANY refugees from Palestine or Gaza. So I wonder why taxpayers and parents of the protesting students should allow their money be donated to terrorist organizations?

Isaiah 9 verse 6 CLEARLY states that the Messiah, who is a SEPARATE PERSON from His father would be called the "everlasting Father" of the believer. But yet, Jesus said HIS father was the one true father, so how can both be correct at the same time? It's actually easy to answer and NO IT'S NOT MODALISM. It's called sonship.
Genesis chapter 1 verse 26 says "let US make man in OUR image"
Genesis chapter 1 verse 28 says "be fruitful and MULTIPLY"
So, we clearly see from those two verses that the created image bearer, man, will operate in a CREATED sonship that is patterned after the UNCREATED sonship of the Father, Son, and Spirit. Let's look at it...
A father receives an inheritance of sons that will multiply the name, image, and life of that father when he HAS A SON. The SON will be the father to the future sons of HIS father. So, that's why you have a father, grandfather, great grandfather, and on and on and on. But YOUR father has a father, who would also be a father to you, a grandfather. So, what did we just learn based on the CREATED sonship which was patterned after the UNCREATED sonship? Jesus is the father to the believers and HIS father is the absolute father of all spiritual sons of God, which He receives through Jesus Christ, who gives life to the believers. The understanding of SONSHIP is the only thing that will lead people away from the heresy of modalism, while also allowing trinitarians to answer the misunderstandings people have about the Trinity. God bless, and feel free to ask any questions.

Why not ask Hamas to surrender and release the hostages. They are the ones who started this conflict and hold the ability to end it at any time.
