My roommate had one in college and anytime I sat on the toilet he'd come running in and curl up in my pants on the ground. He'd scratch at the door if I closed it. His whole life was sleep or wrestle lol

One thing is certain: there's never a dull moment with 5 ferret and a cat.
That cat is living the "so this is my life" feeling all the time. Still very cute and keeps him busy I bet!
I volunteered for a Ferret Shelter, have adopted ferrets, fostered old and special needs ferrets. Owned ferret hybrids. Most of them enjoyed their baths, having their nails cut but did not like ear cleaning. They got along very well with my elderly cats and younger ones as well. My last ferret past away the beginning of this month. Valentino was quite old. This is the first time I have not had ferrets in over 20 years. My last cat is now 17. He never minded Valentino unless the ferret had more attention from me than he had. Love this video. The ferrets follow the kitty like she is their mother.
I dread the day I'm not going to have ferrets anymore.... I don't know how this will feel 😔
Do ferrets use a litter box, or can they be trained to?
@@jimmaurer8361 Notice where they eliminate waste in their cage. Put a litter box in that area and seed it with a bit of their poo. With practice, the ferret will use it. I used litter boxes in my ferret room at home. At the shelter, newspaper was used in all the corners of the ferret rooms, changed 2 times per day as was their food and water. At home, I used Yesterday's News litter.
What is a ferret hybrid? I was under the assumption that there is only one style of ferret in the world… Guess I learned something new today

It is....until things start going missing in the home. And you find them months or years later stuffed up inside your mattress box springs or the underside of the couch. lol

You should take a look at weasels/stoats then. Smaller and perhaps even more hyperactive than ferret.
Leopard geckos are cute too and are said to be easy to care for or ...hehehehe....you can go wild and take a look at an amblypygi.
Cats and ferrets make great pet mates. I've had cats who were indifferent towards other cats, but none could resist playing with the ferrets.

Makes me miss my ferrets. They were so funny at play, hopping around making quite little noises, finding spots to crawl under for sneak attacks or to hide their toys.

I appreciate her saying that doing this isn’t easy. To give all those ferrets the amazing life she gives them seems like a full time job. Unless you feel strongly you can commit that much of your life to making 5 ferrets this happy, you should choose an animal(s) that fit with your lifestyle and you can keep sustainably happy and healthy

Several years ago I decided to adopt three young ferrets not knowing what I was getting myself into. I learned very quickly they were so much fun to play with and yes they stole a lot of my things and dragged them into my couch and fought with me when I tried to get my things back out. I cleaned their cage (a big one) every morning and every night and their food bowl and water dish. My ferrets HATED when I gave them monthly baths though. I brought them to a special vet who trimmed their nails every month and she almost always said that there were so healthy the coats had a sheen to them. She said she always got sick ferrets but used mine as an example of how to keep the sick ones healthy. Sadly one by one the passed away. I really miss those wonderful little rascals.
I wish every living creature was treated with the loving care these adorable ferrets and their kitty brother receive. This was heartwarming and just so cute! God bless this girl and her fur family!

You are an amazing ferret mom! I had 2,Orphan Annie who I adopted & Hobo Joe who was found outside,in the rain,by a dumpster 😢,by my son. Hobo came first. He was so cute and silly & needed a home. We did social media,posters and after no one claimed his fuzzy butt,I brought him home. I had no idea what I was getting myself into 😂. As you said,it's a lot of work. The cage,ferret proofing the house,the odor and, making sure they're entertained & happy. After we fell into a routine and, I figured it all out,it was soo worth it that,I decided he needed a brother or sis ter. I heard of a local ferret rescue and got Annie. I can't imagine 5. I loved them so much and we brought each other yrs of joy. However,my cat Chi Chi,never bonded like yours. She was older when they came and was not happy about the take over. But,we made it work. All 3 are gone now 😢. I often think about getting another fur ball companion but,I'm currently battling cancer so for that reason & financial (vet visits for the fuzz butts were very expensive), I'm putting that on hold for now. Even so,I don't think it'll be another ferret even though they are smart,clever little clown thiefs. You however,do a great job! They're blessed to have you! Many blessings to all! ❤😊

As much as I love them, I just can't have ferrets anymore. They tend to live very short lives 3-4 years, and my heart can't handle their loss. They're too lovable to live such short lives!

I miss my baby girl so much 😭 they are so miscellaneous funny and very clever, she made me laugh every day, she rounded the cats up like sheep! If something went missing you could be sure poppet had hidden it lol. I will always love and miss you pop's 🌈♥️
