Next time you are scared you see a ghost or anything supernatural call for Jesus & watch it run with its tail between its legs.
I think the devil is also trying to control me with fear, honestly I am a Christian that prays every day but at night I hear footsteps and once my door was shaking very loud and sometimes I see movement in the corners of my eye, the first time I saw something it was a man looking in my window (when I was 6) and once at my aunts house, I was sleeping and I woke up for some reasion I saw a figure standing on my bed legs opened wide hands wide to side just staring at me, (I was ten) now every night I pray for God to send angels to protect me and usually the noise stops, the only thing that "sometimes" remains is footsteps but usually at that point all noises go away

Well partially. I think that acknowledging them is a bad move.
They're there; I don't doubt that (demons and ghosts)
Ghosts just sort of float around wandering and I don't believe we ever see, hear, interact with them and I don't think they see us.
But demons....well from my experience at least and applying my having read the Bible cover to cover in different versions at least 5 or 6 times I believe...will target the weakest. And I think one makes themself weaker by enertaining a demon. Acknowledging it....that whole cliche: call it by its name. Buncha bunk.
Just ignore them. That's all. They aren't powerful and once you realize that, you can literally be amongst them and protect your loved ones. Best thing is to hold your ground and realize that you have all of the power and most of all, just not think much about them and they pass on.

So while our earthly body may return to dust, our spirit when we die goes back to God who gave it.
So what I once saw in my apartment wasn’t a ghost it was a demon?
I had one in my apartment too but I didn't see it it spoke to me and it sat on my shins as I lay in bed I instantly froze.

I seen a man shaped ghost watching me in my old house .I was full of anger .had been lifted up out my bed seen stuff move house was cold falling apart i broke stuff .my health went bad now I'm in a wheelchair ..maby a demon got me ..I was a bad guy .now I found Jesus . whatever that was wasn't good!!!!!changed me

If we don't live after we die then why did Jesus say to the thief on the cross today you will be with me in paradise, why did Paul say to be apart from the body is to be present with the Lord. We do go to a conscious eternity to heaven or he'll (see Jesus'parable of Lazarus and the rich man) We do need Jesus to save us from eternal hell not from the cessation of the conscious life of our departed spirit at death. Yes ghosts are demons it's appointed to man to die once then face judgment. There is no soul sleep nor does God need to reconstitute us from his memory of us at the resurrection these are unbiblical teachings

The Bible indicates that when a believer in Christ dies, they go to be with the Lord (also known as Abraham's bosom). When an unbeliever dies, they go to a place of torment (also known as sheol).
Jesus said:
"And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: ...." (Luke 16:22) (also read Luke 16:19-31).
Paul wrote to the Corinthians:
"We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." (2 Corinthians 5:8)
Paul wrote to the Phillipians:
"For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: " (Phillipians 1:23)
When the Lord returns, we will be reunited with our bodies which will be made new. (see 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and Phillipians 3:21).

Sleep is simply a metaphor. It’s not literal. Why would Jesus tell the thief he would be with him today in paradise if the soul sleeps after death?

you are SO right. I just want to encourage you to read your bible, study your bible, and I promise you, it will inspire you to want to know more. My dad was raised Catholic, but I wasn't. I agree with most of what you said but I'm pretty sure the "ghost" of Samuel really did visit Saul. The bible doesn't say that it was a demon that was pretending to be Samuel, it says that it was just Samuel. God must have allowed Samuel's spirit to awake and speak to Saul.

If your statement were true then Moses, Elijah and Enoch were ghosts as well. For Jesus spoke with Moses.

I recently saw a video of a man's testimony about having gone to Heaven. He said there was no memory of anything on Earth, just peace and happiness. When he said this, it convinced me he likely did experience Heaven because the Bible is very clear about the dead not knowing anything.

I don't know who this guy is, but he has what the Bible says on this subject right. The belief in some form of consciousness after death and before Christ's return came to many protestant churches from Catholicism through the reformation. It is not something that comes from the Bible.

I've been scared that I might have committed blasphemy of the holy spirit I had been struggling with that for years now I had been asking God for a sign of I committed it the other day my uncle my dead uncle appeared at the head of my bed and said I did commit it would God send him to tell me that I'm scared
The fact you are scared is a clear indication you have NOT commited it because a person who commits it does not care and has no worries about it.
And no that was a demon trying to play tricks on you.
Pray and seek, ask God for help in overcoming the fear, and repent of any sins ask forgiveness. Ask for the holy spirit help to guide you. Read scriptures/bible. Focus on Jesus!!!

Satan is the master of lying, he wants you believe that a ghost is somebody's soul
This really important because a lot of ppl question why did God send his only son to die if he is God. This shows that eating from the fruit was against the law and we all know God is a just God. So just letting Them break that law and not following the law would not be just. The price to pay for sin is death so God send his Son to pay that price so we didn't have to.
Best way to find the answers is to read the Bible. I have not read even half of it yet, and I believe all the answers are in there. According to some Christians that I trust, Christians who have been obeying the Lord before their earthly death do go straight to heaven and depending on the life they lived once they were Christians their place in heaven is allotted. Those who fervently serve and please God in this life will reign with him in heaven, but even those who do not reign will be there.
It concerns me that you discredit the King James version of the Bible, since the further into antiquity we go the closer we get to the original version. You think that it was translated incorrectly? Or do you mean that the word "ghost" is used differently today then in that time so would be misinterpreted by the reader?

It's not so much about the rules but the posture of your heart. Repent and turn away from sin.
You can trust God, period. At all times. Because He paid your sin debt through Christ. Just knowing The Truth sets you free. if we could lose our salvation, we would totally deserve to lose it. Amen?

Hello John.. Thanks for your teaching on this key topic from scriptures! As I was listening, i could not help go back to 1 Samuel 28, where King Saul asked the spiritist woman to bring up the prophet Samuel to inquire before going to battle against the enemy. I find it conflicting as the Bible says the spirit that came up was Samuel.. Further, the Bible mentions in verse16 "Samuel said" about Saul's impending defeat as he had disobeyed the voice of God. Further, Samuel gives specific details of God's purposes for Saul due to his disobedience to God in the case of the Amalekites, and reproved Saul like he would if he we alive in the flesh and speaking for God. How do we reconcile this with Ecclesiastes 9 that you referred to ? Please advice. Thanks !

What about the fear used in Christianity about burning in hell for eternity to those who don't believe that Jesus is the savior? I have 2 daughters and I love them no matter what! And I really believe I could and would forgive them for anything! I know the creater loves his creation and I believe the creater loves unconditionally! Unconditional love is the only real love their is ! If I a human being can love unconditionally I can't even imagine the love that the Devine Scorce has!

I believe what your saying there is a lot I don't know but I know God is very real lol I'm a disabled vet T.B.I(traumatic brain injury) my rehabilitation was in Colorado I joined the army in 2009 1st platoon A Co 126 unfortunately I get angry easy now I understand I have damage to the brain the doctor told me that causes the anger I scar myself at times over my anger I want to be happy and kind but I fail at that it's something I'm working on

You have to think about it like this, when we die time no longer has a hold on us, so we do live when we die, we just don't live in the same time frame as the people on earth.
I do agree I am new in my knowledge of the bible I wanted to ask about the souls under the alter dose that mean they are dead in the ground or dose it mean body is dead but spirit is with are heavenly father.
Really, if there were demons/ghosts/whatever appearing to people for real, why do we not all see them more often in society. Are they shy, are they trolls?

I was into watching ghost hunting shows and a couple of people went up into a attic in old house to investigate and a “ghost” put a noose around a guys neck trying to kill the man!! The other guy helped him off hook and saved him. The guy was confused after coming down. I think I’d burn that house down after that or rebuke the devil and anoint the house with oil.
My question is what are the spirits that some people see, i heard some story that they see there dead relatives and there relative is trying to say something, and after they get what does there relative want, the spirit of there relatives will not show again.
Everywhere it says God charges his Angels in error. The Fallen Angels. If you read on you would realize it was an Angel of the lord whispering to job, when that form apperared.
So even after my mother died five years ago and my dad was alive and she appeared to him in apparition with a smile without any doubt that he knew it was my mom, how can it be a demon when my mom and dad were Christian?

The gentleman in the video explained this procept (right word?). He said the soul waits with the creator until it's time of remergence in later years. I think scripture claims this is a 1000 year wait. I assume it's never much less than that.

Why did Lazarus go to hell and say to warn his brothers that this place is real if we don't remember anything when we die? I also don't believe in ghosts, I believe they're all demons, but I've seen two Catholic priests/Exorcists on youtube teach there are ghosts, and to pray for them, but not to interact with any spirits ghost or demon.
