    ABOUT DANNY
    -----------------------
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!
I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.
On CZcams and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.
Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble
I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

This golf lesson provides a couple of wonderful drills to help you strike a ball with an iron. If you are looking for how to hit a ball straight with an iron, or want to know how to hit the ball first with irons then these golf drills will give you much better golf ball contact so that you can strike your irons pure.
I believe they are the easiest and best golf irons drills you can use
Also get to see the golf ball contact in slow motion

Thanks Danny for another excellent easy to follow session. There are a LOT of people on CZcams promoting golf improvement lessons but I have found yours to be the best by far! You explain things in a way that even a mug golfer like me can follow. I only took up golf about 12 months ago at the age of 63 and came across your YT site about six months ago in that time I have seen a dramatic improvement in my game by working through the various points you have covered. The biggest problem in my game at the moment is consistency which I know will only improve with more practice. Thanks again I have really appreciated your clips!

So valuable for me Danny. Over the last few months, I realise I have become locked up, tensed up, using only my arms while my body stays still. No idea where this has come from and all my efforts have failed to resolve the issue. This lesson has presented me with a solution, so it's off to the driving range for me. Many thanks again.

Great lesson that really resonates with me. I remember several years when Nick Price was in his "prime" and winning, seemingly every week(a little hyperbole), and in an interview he said, and I paraphrase, "I've been working on pivoting my body back and through and just allowing my arms to "hang onto the club". I've worked with a few teaching pros over the years who work with tour pros, PGA & LPGA, and nobody makes it as simplified and understandable as you!

  • @cwrbeach
    @cwrbeach Před 3 lety

I have studied a lot of techniques to stop slicing with the driver and irons.
I am successful about 90% with irons but less with the driver.
The only change I made was a flat left wrist which flattens my driver backswing. But I am not confident in right fairways.
This is the first time I have seen your approach.
It looks like it may work for the driver as well.
I'll t it at the range Monday and let you know the result.
I am 75 so it may not be as applicable as for more flexible golfers.
Keep up the good work. Really applicable for 10+ handicaps.

Danny, I think your tip on moving your left leg back with the backswing and right leg forward is one of your best tips and has helped me tremendously on hitting straight shots especially with the driver. It has stopped me over rotating my hips. Hitting 12 out of 14 fairways with the driver. Stay safe and healthy.

Got to give you credit Danny...All your videos make a lot of sense and I look forward to hearing how you break down elements of the swing.. ie throwing a ball and remaining loose through the swing..
I came down from 1.2 to 0.5 last Sunday with your driving tip.. I honestly hit every fairway off the whites and my drives were long and straight in windy conditions which makes the second shot easier. I shot 71 gross par 72 so net a 70... Still came second mind you to a 12 handicapper who shot 81 net 69 :(

This video and the one you did recently about ball striking (with meandmygolf) really brought to my attention the position of my hands in the backswing. I had been trying for months to develop an in-to-out swing with no luck, and now I know it's because I'm not getting my hands behind me. It was one of those aspects of my swing that I didn't even know could affect my path, but now it seems obvious. Thank you, Danny, for teaching these mechanics in simple and easy to understand ways. I get to improve my swing without clouding my head with 1000 mechanical swing thoughts.

I was amazed to see that my plane looked as it should with a small dropping into the slot at the top. Not only did I begin to nut the ball consistently, but with all clubs and plenty of power. It really illustrates how different feel and real are.

Danny, the reason your videos are brilliant is because you teach in layman terms. You don't use terms like, "D-plane," to a ham-and-egg golfer like me. It's a lesson that a totally new golfer, up to a scratch golfer, can understand and get something out of. Also, of note, you've been teaching your Mrs. for a while now, and your still breathing and taking nourishment. Must be doing a bang-up job! :) Cheers, Mate!

Excellent video! Rather than hitting at the ball is appears that the club just collects the ball as part of a complete swing. Great visual.

Very useful lesson for me. I've known for a long time that I am a bit static in my swing although at the same time I probably have "some of the wrong parts" moving too much.

Well here I am a week later. At first I had mixed results. As with any changes I try to make with my swing it takes time. So, I tried to get use to making the rotational movement in a rhythmic manor. Then using a wedge first try to create the proper arc. Sounds easy right? For me not so much. But when I made a good strike, I had a very nice ball flight. I have been practicing this for a few days now and the consistency is coming. Going out to play today with my new approach and hoping to have more consistency and distance. Let you know how it goes.
