Also, disspelling sphere disables any magical item that surviviors have on them, so it's actually one of his better abilities, people often forget about that part of it

A little additional info:
1) At the start of each trial, the game randomly assigns 2 different abilities to each kind of magic item (i.e. Interloper and Archvist to boots, Skyguard and Nightwatch to gauntlets), which means you can only get 1 of 2 different boots and 1 of 2 different gauntlets. This is to prevent people from getting boots and gauntlets of the same type during a game.
2) All magic items give audio cues, which can be especially helpful on Nightwatch if the killer tries to spawn the skeletons on top of you. If you are quick enough, you can crouch them.
3) When using the Eye of Vecna (invisibility), your footsteps can still be heard, and the killer can still start chases with and hit you. So, while it may buy you distance, you can still be caught, and its probably not often worth the health state.
4) If you get both the Eye and Hand of Vecna, you can teleport and them go invisible at the same time, even though the tp injures you.
5) If a survivor rolls a mimic chest, that chest stays a mimic until another one is rolled. You can tell which one is still a mimic by looking for eyes on top of the chest.
6) Dark Arrogance only needs to be combined with bamboozle, which gives you permanent superior anatomy, along with the window block. While the additional stun and blind time can be a little detrimental, it isn't so bad that you'll always lose the chase. For killers whose weakness is windows, bamboozle and dark arrogance become an extremely good combo.
Why is everyone forgetting, that Sphere disable your magic items? It takes away your information on killer position, your haste after mage hand. It turns off even Vecna items. Very underrated side of this spell

Vecna items don’t get effected by dispelling sphere, but it still is a rlly underrated ability.

I do believe that the combination of Archivist and Interloper items is the best. Archivist literally gives you the ability to see something that you cannot otherwise see and can misinform the killer to not check a certain location if they are not detecting anyone with Killer Instinct by dodging the Dispelling Sphere and the Interloper gives you enough haste to hopefully loop one more cycle safely. Nightwatch is kind of useless. You can hear when the ability is being used. Against newer Lich players, you can just crouch for a split second and still make it somewhere safe. Against good Lich players, they will most likely hit you with the power while you're on the other side of a wall before you even have time to react. Skyguard is nice, but at the same time, you can hear that the Lich used Flight. It's not like he's going to use Flight to do circles around the hook, therefore camping, so you can use that make an educated guess of where he is going next.
I agree. Also, avoiding the sphere not only denies info as you say, but this keeps your other artifact usable instead of on that 60s cooldown. In the case of this recommended combo, you're keeping that haste in your pocket.
Ofc there's no perfect combo, but if you're running flight+skeleton items, you could just get revealed by sphere, lose access to your aura reading on flight, and he can then engage you with knowledge that he is more likely to succeed in using mage hand or skeletons for a health state or down (and that you can't use either vecna item to cheese an escape from chase)

Tip: Using Flight of the Damned while a survivor is a floor above you, makes it where it can only be dodged by getting in between the space of the entities

The slow break from the iri add on actually helps in chase, since it can block the survivor from vaulting out of chase
the survivor item showing the hand spell is one of the best, because you get a haste when Vecna uses the hand spell. If you are the one in chase you will be able to run to safety because od it, or get one more loop around the currently blocked pallet without getting the "guarantee hit'. I always hope I would get that over any other item
Small criticisms on the Magic Items section:
- Anti-Mage Hand item is good because it gives you a Haste effect when Vecna uses Mage Hand, potentially letting you reach another pallet or window
- Anti-Orb item is INSANE since the orb normally can't be seen. Given that the orb is kinda slow and is Vecna's main detection tool being able to completely evade it as survivor is incredibly powerful
- The Orb will disable a survivor's magic items for 60 seconds. This is primarily useful if they have the anti-hand item to counter the Haste they get but otherwise isn't too important.
- If you hit a survivor with Orb you can see what their items do, so keep this in mind so they can't predict where you're going.
Hey kyto! I learned that the Lich's sphere makes you see what items survivos have and also deactivates them while the timer is ticking, idk if it disables the eye/hand though, but its really good
As a Vecna main
From what I've seen, it does disable the eye and hand
I usually run weave attunement, Franklin's, pain res, and bamboozle. I would argue that dispensing sphear is one of the most useful abilities he has especially when they have the gloves that give 7% haste and/or a vecna item to get rid of the effect for a bit until you get a hit. You can also use flight of the dammed instead of magic hand at a pallet instead. Predict when the survivor will drop the pallet that will force them to stand up use flight of the dammed get the hit and the pallet.
There is a mistake in the video. When you show the perk Blood Favor then it shows the wrong perk.
another tip for vecna is if you cast your flight of the dammed ability at a point where you are slightly lower than survivors they won't be able to crouch under them which is super helpful on maps with stairs or multifloored buildings, such as RPD, badham houses, haddonfield houses ect

the dispelling orb also turns off the items of survivors hit, not sure if i missed it being mentioned, but that being able to stop them from getting speed or tp is good..
@8:18 I do believe they can be downed by mimics, though this may have just been a case where the deep wound meter fully depleted
@domathon03 This is what I thought as it definitely happened to my teammates a few times, but idk if they would change that
14:30 During the pallet break animation the long duration can be used to zone a survivor into the pallet and they cannot vault through resulting in a free hit, this pairs well with the pearls of power (i think they are called that) which will reduce you cooldown by 5 seconds
Relegating the Interloper haste to an afterthought is interesting, especially when ranking Skyguard - the second most useless one, imo - so highly. 7% haste is usually more than enough to remain at unsafe pallets to use them again or to get to safer loops, versus an aura ability which can be trumped by the rather loud sound of vecna whooshing toward you.
Archivist also has a macro-gameplay element: it tells the survivors where Vecna's attention is. Frankly, it can be useful to send the Dispelling Sphere in directions you aren't headed as Vecna once you see survivors dodging it, in order to make them think you're not paying attention to them and buy an extra second or two.
As of right now:
Mimics CAN down you if you are in deep wound
and for the sake of completion:
you can also get a green key from the chests, mine was empty. not sure if that's always the case

I think my favorite tech to use with ol' boneman is summoning the skellies on a slope so that crouching won't save you.

Something that I didn’t see you mention in the video, the dispelling sphere when it detects a survivor it shows you the survivors magic items and also disables the effects of them for the duration (This includes the hand and eye of Vecna)
It disables everything BUT the eye and hand.

I love to use bamboozle on Vecna, with some mage hand add-ons you can almost deny shack, I works for me at least lol
dispelling sphere is much better than you think, it has a secondary ability that completely negates the use of the vecna items. you want to be using dispelling sphere as much as you possibly can, especially if people have the item that gives them haste when you use your mage hand.
You missed how the survivors get 7% haste if they have the mage hand counter when Vecna uses it. You also forgot how dispelling sphere disables magic items for a duration, so they won't get the haste when you use mage hand or see your aura during fly while dispelled, for instance.
Other than that, good video. Personally I think going to a different locker and getting injured is kinda pointless unless you're exposed or against an instadown killer since you're gonna lose a health state either way if they aren't an instadown killer.

The mimic can indeed down a survivor if they activate and fail the skill checks while in deep wound. I believe it was Otz that demonstrated that.

The sphere cancels the boots and gauntlets effects weared by the survivor because one of them gives the survivor haste effect for few seconds if the survivor was hit by the sphere effect he won't get the haste effect 😊

(Ik i alr commented but yk-) I believe vecna has a addon that makes the mage hand crush downed pallets idk if you knew and just didn’t wanna mention it but it works well with the mage hand perk combo you were talking about also another thing technically speaking survivors crouching can benefit vecna for gain distance since your slowed then but yeha generally speaking its kinda bad
Urban evasion is my most used perk it counters nearly half the roster's powers or allows you to dodge it easier

When your Walking Up any stairs Like....rpd Main hall or swamp ship, you can Cast skelletons mid way so they fly in or only Close over the floor and garuantee a hit

Hot Topic: Dispelling Sphere should temporarily disable the magic items that survivors collect from D20 chests. It’s slow moving and doesn’t have a lot of use more than information. It could be a soft counter to Vecna’s eye and hand. The survivor HUD already has a timer on the icons if you are hit. Finally, it fits the name,

Dispelling sphere isnt useless. It disables magic items when detected by it. If you know someone has a hand or eye of vecna, you can just bubble them and do whatever you want.

Not sure if you mentioned it but using magic sphere mid chase to disable survivors items is extremely useful if not mandatory against good survivors. Otherwise survivors can easily outplay your abilities and leave you as an M1 killer.

The mage hand magic item is probably the best now because of its additional speed when using mage hand, in way more loops it makes that ability near useless for Vecna and removes his strongest anti-loop imo
