Road construction should not be managed by IAS officers, they are burecrat and not engineers...Some technical person should head Engineering divisions like in West countries technocrat heads technical departments and just IAS officers
the problem is more about accountability and enforcement. if a company builds a road it should be made responsible for maintaining it for the next ten years, corruption will automatically stop, there may be handouts in project assignment but not in execution.

Dude Ranveer, if you come across any economist or finance minister or Cbi officer, then ask them about INSOLVENCY AND BANKRUPTCY CODE ROLE. Look, there's hardly 10% recovery from the NPA assets. It's quite deep. I can't explain it here. I have filed a PIL in gujarat high court in case of ABG shipyard liquidation process. But no one seems to bother. CBI, Ed and Courts all are very slack. 7000 crore worth assets sold for 1200 crore of a company which is an NPA of 24000 crores. And this is just the tip of the iceberg. We as youngsters will have to keep all this in check. All of it is public money and 90% of the npa amounts are being written off which goes to the tune of lakhs of crores.

A big chuck of NPA is actually performing, not for banks and public, but for politicians to win elections. Until the elections finance issue is solved, money will disappear from banks and people by way of bribes or extortion or NPA and used in elections for publicity and other expenses.

Not a paper moves in the State Government without hush money and whether the IAS is not aware of it? Everything goes on under his nose. His answer that they will get caught by ED, CBI etc, we know how straight they are too.

When you see things like this and high level officers being corrupt , I am not saying everyone is corrupt but infact most of them are corrupt is such a shame on whole UPSC selection process is flawed . It’s a shame of millions of aspirants who may not have mugged up random facts and speak fluent English to clear the exam but would have been far honest Officers to that of the ones selected .😢

To solve this problem government employees should be given target in acting plan.Salary should be cut down and allowance will be given in lieu as per the achievement of the given target.

You should have also asked, What systemic changes are required in the processes to provide preventive measures to thwart inefficiency, falsifications, delays in passing bills and quality controls to identify and control deviations around the payments / cash flows .
Catching the culprits after the crime long after the crime and just punishing the individual (if caught) while the proceeds of the crime are being enjoyed by his family is not good enough . And why such of these measures are not being implemented . It is very much there in the good public sector companies like ONGC/BHEL/NTPC etc. The difference being the investigating agency is not being directly under the company management, but under CVC.

Funny story.
IT went on a raid to hunt for Black money in capital. Because they didn't do the reiki properly nothing was found. To meet the target the supervising officer visited all the companies in that premises and wrote their names on the order for search by hand in spot and then attached all their assets to the case.
Now for no reason 100 people are somehow connected to a high profile case which will cost them crores in fines which doesn't need to be done just because reiki wasn't done properly.

3 cr is normal for beurocrat in india most ias earn that 100 cr corruption nahi hota I think 100cr is mostly from mines or roads but it's not recommended better do other things and 3 cr is normal by licence and other things and you can earn 100 cr if you allow drugs as a dm not yearly but in 5 yrs because my sdm uncle said 1 cr is very very normal for pcs officer entry level but 100 cr ka chakkar jail mein dega
