In today’s episode of Figuring Out, we have Former Coal Secretary of India Anil Swarup in conversation with Raj Shamani. He passed IAS with AIR 14 and became the IAS officer in Uttar Pradesh, throughout his career he has worked on various tough projects, brought significant changes, and worked with many CMs. He has written books like “Ethical Dilemmas of a Civil Servant”, “Not Just A Civil Servant’ and many others. Today he is also a public speaker and speaks in various countries.
We talked about how IAS became IAS and got placed in his home state Uttar Pradesh, he shared about his early days, the challenges he faced, how he got transferred, how he used to be in ethical dilemmas, and how he created value systems to deal with everything. In my view Anil Swaroop ji has been state forward ,bold government public servant. Its good video report with interview along with a different person of beaurocratic domain.
Salute to Aniljee. So long one maintain honesty integrity and ready to serve the Nation in positive mindset he only can keep his head high in all situations. Politicians get control on officers who failed to maintain honesty and integrity in true values forgetting that thousands eyes are watching the officers 24x7 hours to find out his weaknesses in any direction.
Bureaucracy should be the next buzzword in India.If we really want to improvise our government policies and implementation which in return strengthen our democracy.

Otherwise, this may seem like a subtle PR move for the ruling party, especially with the detailed questioning about the PM's meetings.
