Besdies the obvious whatbthis scene did was show Cecil that mark won't break nor turn against earth. There was always this doubt that he could become like his father. But mark showed why he is invincible through words and honor. Cecil giving the smile and helping him up shows pride in mark and turn their relationship from boss to co worker to partners in this together.
um lets not get ahead of ourselves
I think that show invincible has proved who he is more than comic mark at this point which may lead to Cecil trusting him more

Funny enough, Anissa is voiced by the same actress who played Becca Butcher in The Boys i.e. Shantel VanSanten. In one series she's a victim and in the other, she's the opposite.
Plus, it's an important plot point to the story though, without that happening, we wouldn't get Marky. Son of Mark and Anissa.
Well since it was revealed on Google that there will be a season 3 in 2025 then it mostly will happen
