As long as the camera (specifically video recording) gets a decent upgrade, I'm 100% getting this. I'm currently using the Pixel 7 and I deliberately didn't get the Pixel 8 because I wanted a more substantial upgrade.
Is the battery bad on the 7? I’m scared the battery won’t last all day
@@Romeoforbes Obviously it depends on how much you use it throughout the day, but I always get home from work with around 60% battery and I'm constantly on my phone for work. Saying that, it's definitely nowhere near as good as it's rivals.

The only options for side design on phones are flat or round. You can't say a company that barely ever changes their phone design is trend-settings because of an aspect limited to two options.

What about the headphones jack or removable batteries didn’t they have the option to keep them but still choose to follow Apple?
People spent years complaining about them not using glass or metal backs, and then when they finally did, oops copying. And from a business standpoint companies like Samsung had wireless earbuds out for generations, but sales didn't pick up until removing the jack. Maybe we shouldn't have a superiority complex over companies being companies.

In curved screen one can touch the tiniest pixel on the nearest edge of the phone also rounder corners appear very cute. Something should be done in BASS revolutions for AIO'S sakes.

Technically they use this frame bc Samsung changed back to all across the board to flat screen and it’s cheeper to get that panel instead of the curved one since Samsung is mass produced it now so it will be more expensive by far to do the curved panel

They are probably listening to customers. Many wanted a slightly smaller screen on the 8 Pro. Betting they will bring out an Ultra version, with larger screen for those who like big screens (me lol 😁)

@@lastshadowman I, after many years, decided to try a Samsung, the S24 Ultra, I think its design is very beautiful, the other two in the 24 line are decadent, I say and now I reaffirm even more, Samsung has the Ultra, the S and all the Too much ~ignore the foldables~ they are covered versions of the S. For a premium smartphone you would expect them to have an elegant design but they show a lack of creativity that surpasses Apple

One of the GSMArena articles said the vanilla Pixel 9 will get triple cameras. Possibly the popular 64MP OV64B 3x sensor.
I'm honestly super stoked for this phone. I've had all the pixels for years, but had to change to galaxy recently temporarily and omg I hate it. And literally counting the days when I get back to Google pixel. Def gonna shoot for purchasing this one in October. Early Xmas present to me lol

Google is smart. They are putting feelers out now to see how the public responds. Phone looks really nice but I'm one of the few that miss the curved screen. I have the Pixel 7 Pro, was debating to upgrade to the Pixel 8 Pro but now I may wait for the 9 series.

You know I'd rather have Obsidian black even if it's gonna be super scratch proof. But Gorilla Glass Armor should be much more scratch resistance than before. Hopefully, we get more bolder colours like black and white again 😂.

No, actually Apple was the launch company for USB-C. It was first on the MacBook in 2015, long before Samsung used it.
Apple was part of the consortium that designed and pushed for usb c. The problem was that it took so damn so that they made lightning, got to market 2 years before usb c and never bothered to change to a standard they helped to design
@@bruxi78230 There was no reason they didn't put USB-C in across the board until forced to, and even then it was an impaired version of it in some devices.

1. When they introduced Lightning in 2012 they indicated it would be on devices for 10 years. Many customers were freaked out because suddenly going from 30 pin to Lightning meant changing accessories.
2. Apple had the MFi program where they earned money from accessory makers while assuring the quality of connectivity to their devices.

Right or wrong is, in many cases, relative. What I liked about Android was the freedom of choice. Once again, if I'm going to pay the full price of an iPhone for a copy of an iPhone I am better off with the real deal.

There's not much you can do with a squared off rectangle with glass on both sides to make it look much different. But with that being said... This looks nothing like an iPhone and iPhones are in no way any competition for Pixel phones. Not at all.

Apple copies other companies' features as well. They're just really slow to innovate.
They do sometimes yeah, but so do Samsung and Google. At least when Apple does it they wait until they have it done well and have their own spin on it

What I don’t like is when companies not just copy design but also names. I see the use of the word “Pro” and “Magic” way too much lately.

Only difference is that apple uses old tech for the lower end models. At least apples competition keeps up to date with the tech but leaves out only a few premium features for the power end models.

If you ask me this Pixel and the latest iPhones are the peak smartphone designs, when it comes to ergonomics, no need to change it anymore, the future changes should be about software and screen resolution/camera quality.
You ask for our opinions, here's mine
1 - that camera bump looks absolutely ridiculous and out of place and does not flow with the rest of the phone.
2 - i don't find square "iPhone" style frames comfortable or easier to hold
3 - i have absolutely no intentions of getting a phone with a smaller screen size. I personally wouldn't mind having one that is a little larger than 6.7"
4 - despite my past three phones being Google if this is what the 9pro is and i need a new phone during it's time on the market I will most definitely be buying from a different manufacturer
