    Emery wouldn’t go to that sewer of a club. The media’s obsession with the big 6, and especially Man Utd, is embarrassing. Villa are 13 points ahead of them for a reason. That gap is not a fluke. If he went to United it would take him at least 3 seasons to get them to the level that Villa are at now - I genuinely believe that.

    Unai Emery has full control over all football related matters at Aston Villa & even the president of football operations at Villa Monchi was Unai's appointment+all the coaches/back room staff were all brought in by Unai. He wouldn't get full control anywhere else like he's got at Villa, Unai's going nowhere.

    • @outofthetrash5925
      @outofthetrash5925 Před měsícem +6

      💯
      Unai clearly wanted a certain environment. Turned down Newcastle and came to Villa being able to pick his own DOF, and bring along whatever staff he wanted. Not that he has anything personal against him but Man Utd now have the same DOF Newcastle had.
      He clearly learned lessons at Arsenal with the likes of Aubamayang. He won't be interested in walking into a club with a few prima donas who aren't interested in putting in any effort as soon as they get bored or don't like something. Prima donas that other top managers have not been able to rid themselves of at that club even if they were successful with getting out a few of the others there were.
      Then we get into the fact our owners have purchased a stake in Unais own club in Spain and how comfortable and adored he is at Villa. Would he really want to leave a project he progressed so much in‽ Moneys not an issue either. Our owners will ensure he gets whatever he wants in salary or back room staff even if we can't spend on players to the level Utd can (though that spending has hardly bought them quality).
