Your filming tech is getting impressive. That overhead shot almost has an isometric feel to it, maybe you could lean into that and do some isometric episodes like the old ~32-64bit era of games.

What another comment said, Greg always greets the new adventurers and even gives them their first quest, aka finding his lost sheep.
The part that got me was when he said "Shut the f--- up, Greg!" Like they've known each other for years! 🤣🤣🤣
I enjoyed how the guard did not actually understand & follow Greg's accusations - he merely reacted to the adventurer's responses
I love the subtle little details like the NPC continually running the same animation of lifting his fork to his mouth.
Legends say the guard is still rediscovering the corpse every few minutes.
Some pour player is going to come a little to close, while he is on alert and get the blame.
Until it despawns...
No I think when the quest would be completed the npc will automatically come back to life like nothing happened
@@saurabhagarwal3301 Or auto generates a new NPC to act for the same quest to another player. If indeed he was a target and not just murdered in cold blood.

Fixed a bug where the Tavern Noble wouldn't despawn, causing the guard to attack any players that entered Greg's Tavern.
He only reacts to motions. Like a T-Rex. A T-Rowaunurus Rex

He seems to be gaining sentience but doesn’t know he’s in a game…
I think Greg sees “adventurers” as some kind of odd Interdimensional visitors that appear to help or harass his people.
Imagine aliens just showed up one day to do odd quests and occasionally just do acts of terrorism.. we would be horrified! Haha
Pretty sure Greg's alignment is Lawful Good and that is not going to change.

Rowan is the embodiment of the police force of my country. They behave like NPCs while everyone in the neighborhood knows who and where are the criminals
He has mastered the the art of standing so increadibly still that he cant see him
Must've been 10% stealth boost under a full moon and 2% increase with the Moon Beast skill tree.

The 2nd "A Corpse!" got me... you guys know how to entertain.
Yeah, since in any other game, when a corpse is discovered the guards go on high alert for a while, and when that's passed the corpse is just normal furniture.
Well, the first time he saw a corpse, he thought the wind made him see things.
@@Syndur Well if someone was killed and you could not find the murderer in 10 seconds it is pointless to look for him any more and the corpse is now part of the decorations.

He is right, he stopped climbing and was frozen at that time.
I think what made that line so funny (to me) was the subtext that he basically just ADMITTED that HE was "the ASSASSIN climbing out the window right now"!

Now imagine dozens of players doing this at once, with Greg being in all instances of the tavern at the same time. The huge pile of corpses, the guards all phasing through each other. The overlapping "For king and country" and "A corpse!?!"😂😂😂
Don't think the guard's the only one with questionable vision. Poor rich merchant, cursed to notice nothing, not even his own passing.

Well he knows he's just going to respawn in an hour. So this is only a minor inconvenience to him. It's not like NPCs suffer exp loss or stat debuffs upon respawning.
Merchant NPC probably gets paid by the adventurer/quest so the quicker he's killed the quicker he gets paid

Guard NPC has always been one of my personal favorites. "There's someone prowling round 'ere..." is a line I've used for years whenever I hear something late at night

The first few replies are damn negative, as if said job isn't fun and a good time for the whole crew, and not like their filming a whole movie, and im sure anyone who isn't enjoying the set up and the time that goes into filming are probably not right for the team to begin with, good energy goes a long way over negativity that makes it harder on everyone else

To free up processing power, the guards look for slight movements when you're in their FOV during the night cycle. This reduces lag and makes it more realistic when patrolling the city at night. The only bug is that guards can't see interior lighting...

The double take seeing the corpse at the end again got me. I was already having a good time but that one was the final hit that just nailed the whole video.
This is the most accurate NPC man ever and that's saying something. The repeated lines, the "OMG a dead body! Oh guess it was the wind" vibe.....so good.

It was probably a full moon; the assassin class gets a stealth boost on a full moon, plus a boost from crouching with the assassin robe.

I like the detail where the mug spilling over with a cloth was used to censor the blood coming out of the merchant. That was genius.

Any adventurer knows that gaurd wouldn't have mattered anyway because a true assassin would've taken the 3x sneak modified bow shot from the window.

Great vid, gents! I am digging the tavern set piece and costume upgrades from the past couple seasons, fantastic work by costume and props departments!
I would have loved it if Rowan had walked over to the window when Ben was climbing out, gotten almost nose to nose with him, staring into his eyes, searching intently, and then went back to his normal patrol status.
