The hilarity is further compounded by the fact rowan starred in (and probably filmed) it himself, and they're a tech store and can obtain camera equipment, so the only thing left is a veeeery expensive editor it would seem lol
Surely a Rowan thing to do would be to spend very little on the commercial except on the fee for the actor/model which takes 250% of the budget.

Considering all the things you can buy/ask at techtown (candles, milk, service for shoe... polishing was it?) I won't be surprised in the slightest if they do sell perfume too

As an employee in Iceland for a company that loves flashy commercials and has been paying its employees less in purchasing power year-over-year, this one struck a little too close to home!
But yes, that was a very Icelandic commercial. They love their (not quite that sandy) beaches, (not quite that tall) horses, and (not quite that devilishly handsome) professional models. A+ cultural accuracy!

Reminds me of sooo many commercials out there already... great job. This Tech-Town commercial was incredibly on-point, with so much context and focus, highlighting the brand in a perfect blend of information -- it made me want to go to the store right away and just buy something --- anything --- that would allow me to be on that same beach in that moment. (or not...)

Not gonna lie, that was epic cinematography in the commercial. Most of those shots were absolutely stunning. And that shot of the horse's face behind Rowan's? True badassery. If TechTown were real, I'd go there just for the art appreciation of the commercial.

I've once had a whitelabel partner that was reselling one of my products, and completely unironically made a commercial like this. It had lightning bolts, exploding cars and all kinds of things for something completely unrelated, like he was making a movie instead of an ad.
