Well, I guess he wants people he knows (and who know him) around to ease the transition to the new store. Of course he's not taking the idea well that he might not have the exact same position in his dad's store that he did over at Playtech. Plenty of possible new dynamics here with the new cast members.

We need a episode of the variants.
It's a subtle thing they did. The implication being that Rowan hired all employees with the namesake and mannerisms of his dad's employees with Rowan being the boss, not his dad. As if he subconsciously wants to replace his dad with himself. Because of course, Rowan feels himself superior to all beings, his dad included, and consciously or subconsciously built a replica empire, replacing his dad with himself. Gives us a whole new respect for the series entirely. Bee-ee-aye-you-tiful!

I still use the force to manipulate traffic lights in my favour every now and then. When it happens at the right time it’s still a sweet feeling 😅

Meanwhile Ben and Hamish are outside Playtech waiting for it to open.

You know the best part of this episode is? Literally all the crazy stuff that happened before was just Rowan messing with the staff since he owned Playtech. The White Shirt saga, new “boss”, pay cuts, and every weird new policy that showed up was all Rowan pretending they were decisions from higher ups when it was in fact just him. Even with full control his power fantasy is just to be a manager lmao

This clip gives me so much game of thrones vibes and it is, dramatic, little bit of horror movie feeling (when britt handed the shirts over,) funny, theatrically, betrayel, plot twisting , or in short. Just perfect.
And I love that Adam has such ADHD vibes and is overhappy that he works there too now and ignores the drama around it😂🎉
So glad that Rhi survived her terminal illness (previous Bored episode) and was so inspired by Alan that she ended up managing a tech store! 😂
I'm glad she's starting to pop up more in VLDL sketches beyond when she was Freda Orchardson. I wonder how her character will play out. My immediate thought when she walked in was the "co-manager from hell" sketch, though I hope that's not the route they take with her, as she's really likeable.
I feel like it would be great if she's a really good manager, and rowan is plotting against her, and everyone else is trying to foil him...

I do like how Rowan did actually care that his employees hadn't been paid at all. He may have paid them as little as absolute possible, but it mattered that they still got paid, even if the most important thing was his problems. Also, the Force hand on the automatic door was peak Rowan.
I feel it was less that he cared about them and more he realized if they didn't get paid, neither did he
Apart from Ellie, everyone is a closet masochist, so it's understandable for Rowan to openly call them "servants" despite minimum pay.
He told them they merely must be mistaken and got out his phone to prove them wrong. He brought them along to Tech Town because it was needed for the plot and only insisted on them being hired at Tech Town because he thought he'd be manager and wanted to continue abusing them.
I believe Ellie was making like $120/hr lol

As someone who works in retail, discovering bored really brought me a lot of comfort and good laughs. Seeing how it’s evolved is just heartwarming and I am glad the series has returned after a long break, can’t wait to how the new cast plays out and plus I am sure Ben will be lurking as impossible customers do 😂

I think she was flipping off her old co-workers because she hates any competition and they all just got fired.
