@eisenklad I was reminded of that $2000 bag skit a few months back when I had a customer who saw a phone case in the wrong spot. Don't remember exactly how the conversation went but I remember checking the price and then examining the label to ensure it wasn't an old outdated label ( otherwise I would have to match the price). It was for a different product and I informed the customer that someone must have just placed it there and we hadn't gotten around to zoning there yet ( customers always just put stuff in random spots). Even by our policy it states it has to be 2 or more in the wrong spot, and that was the only one there. Customer states something about how he is going to take the case, and in a joking manner says he is going to talk to my manager or customer service about getting it for the price of the label it got hung under. We both laugh and go on our way. Minutes later when I am going on break I get called out by name to head to customer service and who should be there but the customer I thought was joking trying to argue that I told him he could get the item for said price. Needless to say he left angry after I kept spouting that I never told him that and we wouldn't budge on the price.
Made me think of Rowan saying he was laughing thinking of something else during their transaction lol.

Literally... LITERALLY had "customers" come into the electronics store I used to work at doing this. Not with burgers at least, but other tech from other store, gift vouchers for other stores, general weekly shopping items.
"Oh god damn it, he found us"... The disappointment in Alan's voice was so great.
Also "Oh, please god, no!" I felt the horror of him knowing Rowans reaction.

Ben probably doesn't even recognize the employees. The character strikes me as someone who would do this crap everywhere
@zombieman3011 his character strikes me as the type of person who is so unpleasant to interact with that the only way he can get people to even talk with him is by forcing them to, hence why he spends his days harassing retail workers spouting off crap about his rights to harass them because he is a customer. He probably can't get anyone to interact with him any other way, because he's just that unpleasant of a person, so he requires the law to force people to interact with him. These same types of people are likely the same ones who fight to the death against private businesses having the right to refuse service to customers, arguing that they must be served no matter how annoying they are being, because without that, they lose their only form of social interaction.

Me: No, it is a store refund. Not THIS store, some other. Go to another store until you find the store credit due and get it from that store.
Alternatively:
Ben: I want a refund, this IS a store, right?
Rowan: (Eats the entire burger) Well lets see your purchase, then, and I can restock it and refund you.
Ben: I can't. YOU ate it!!!
Rowan: If you can't give the purchase up, then there is nothing I can do about it.
(rinse and repeat if Ben tries again)
Rowan: Fine, here's 20 for this burger.
Ben: Thank you! It's about time.
Rowan: Now, this is just outrageous.. this burger, which I just bought from you, in a store, looks absolutely nothing like this advertisement! I demand a refund!

I love that this was the one that finally seems to have broken Alan to the point of him just saying that he can't anymore. Rowan and Ben's characters are just opposite sides of the same coin (won't say what sort of coin, but Alan conveys it perfectly what sort they are).

I think it shows more of the habitual character. This character is like this everywhere. Last week he was using hand drawn coupons at the tire shop down the road.
That makes sense that Rowan would use Ben this way. After all, he owns hine by the laws of the street.
