The problem with Boone is a little similar to the problem with Odor: why is this person here in the first place? And when the guy sitting in the opposing team’s dugout won a World Series, took you to Game Seven of the ALCS in 2017 against a team cheating in multiple ways, yeah, you can’t help but wonder what this team would look like with a much more experienced, battle-tested manager, and not a corporate middle man, which is what Aaron Boone looks like. Who am I supposed to blame for 31 outs on the bases? How does that not reflect on management and coaches? Yeah, it’s the players’ fault, primarily. They don’t want to pay a manager that helps them, they want a fall guy to take the heat. And you’re spot on with Acuña. His natural talent would probably carry him to improve, but he probably wouldn’t develop nearly as much as he would on a team like the braves. Yankees don’t produce good ball players, they buy them.

It don’t matter who you bring in as manager, as long as Cashman has his “analytics” and Hal Steinbrenner is too worried about being under the “luxury tax” then you’re gonna keep having the same issues no matter who walks through those doors. And no, Hal and the Steinbrenner’s are not gonna sell the team.
I learned how to run bases when I was 7...and was about 8 when I learned, as a little league pitcher, to cover 1st base when a groundball was hit to first. How do the Yanks keep making these mistakes?
Why does management continue to pick up guys from other teams that no body else wants? These are the reasons this team can not win consistently over the last couple of years. Injury prone , journeymen or old players.. Taking chances on these guys is a waste of time. They are unwatchable and they are the laughing stock of the MLB!!
Cashman and the Steinbrenner sons ARE THE PROBLEM. They hired a broadcaster to be the effing manager. In other words, settle in, Yankees fans. Your team is going to be a day late and dollar short for a LONG time.
Uh, Michael, are you gunna give Aaron Nola even a smidge of credit for that devastating performance? He made the Yanks look like little boys. Like sobbing, droopy-eyed armless children.
These oblique and back injuries are directly related to trying to hit 500 foot home runs every pitch. Over 500 plate appearances no human can withstand that kind of abuse. Teams that play baseball and players that hit for average don't have these issues. Not saying there aren't slots for sluggers on a team but a team of sluggers isn't going to work.

Okay let’s keep it real. This roster looked great on paper, minus… the lack of lefties. The truth is we don’t know who they are. They’re too damn injury prone and have horrible plate discipline.
It will continue as long as the 💰flows
Jays are.going.bring out the brooms to
And at that point every Yankee fan should watch with no expectations.
Bronx Bummers
A few weeks ago when the fans were fed up and throwing baseballs on the field seems like that might happen again! This time, they will be throwing them AT THE YANKEE PLAYERS THEMSELVES!
Assuming Hal is alive, I would be on the phone right now and speaking to the president of Tampa Bay and give him a blank check to come and clean this crap up.
The Yankees need a fire lite underneath them. They have no hustle. Sanchez and Odor, and Gardner all need to be fired, let go or whatever. Cya..
It starts at the top
You blame Boone for the base running errors because the fish rots from the head down…
Boone is a weak mgr. Cashman is overrated. Hal couldn't care less as long he made his money. So Kay wants us to blame the players? Nonsense.
Don. better not rip Micheal's Announcing
Part of being a manager would be getting a team ready to play, right? I’m that regard Boone has totally failed
Giancarlo Stanton is the modern Mark McGwire, in a whole bunch more ways than one.
Still with odor on 2nd base and not put any runners on the homeplated enough more that enough and german and hitters superguilty ok superguilty
Its not the Yankees fault, its those damn Rays that are too good and just don’t lose.
Bro what? The Yankees should not be 1 game over 500 regardless of the rays

Boone and Cashman are responsible for the culture of the team. They are responsible, what we see are players that are not focused on the game.

Get can and did get base hits when they won games
last couple of games yanks won kay wasn't in booth
Apart from starting pitching, relief pitching, hitting, fielding and base-running, the New York Yankees are good enough to be a DYNASTIC team--------Yeah, right------Let's face it, the only way these slugs will be in a World Series game is if they buy tickets-----The only thing that Hal Steinbrenner has in common with his father is the last name-------Totally uninterested in the dynamics of the game----Just statistics, numbers-------Note to Brian Cashman: Yankee Stadium is built for left-handed hitters-------Loading the team with righties calls your judgment into question--------Physically fragile-----A Glass Menagerie------Aaron Boone, I think that heart issue may have been more serious than you let on-------You seem tentative, different from when you took over the team----Perhaps you should introduce the players to their hitting, pitching, catching fielding & base-running coaches------Or perhaps you did, and this is the result-----------OK, I'm done for now.
According to Kay, you can't blame Boone for anything wrong with this team. Which is insane.
I know there is a lot that goes in to being a base running coach, but why is Reggie Willits their base running coach? Dude was awful for my Angels and stole like 30 bases in 6 years
Kay there are times when players stop listening to their head coach/manager, they just tune them out...
So yes firing Boone may not entire fix this shitty roster but it may kick start few has beens.
Okay let’s keep it real. This roster looked great on paper, minus… the lack of lefties. The truth is we don’t know who they are. They’re too damn injury prone and have horrible plate discipline. All bad. That said… we didn’t see this coming because the players are under performing. We didn’t see everyone having a bad year at the same time. We are questioning talent that has been proven. Torres can hit, Frazier can hit, DJ can hit, etc… they are just all in a funk and this is what it looks like when it happens all at once
The Yankees were 33-27 last season with the SAME team and the SAME problems. 17-23 against teams that weren't Boston or Baltimore. They are 33-32 this season. That's 66-59 in the last 125 games. How long are they just going to be in a "funk". These players suck! That's the problem
@@BaddogSports last season was a throw away for almost all teams in all sports minus football. That’s the only sport that didn’t see a significant carnage in protocol and how their season went. I was counting from the season before that. And even if you count last season.. they could hit. The pitching was suspect and still is. I’m speaking on the inability of this team to hit.
Peralta? This is the stinking reliever bum Cashman traded Tauchman for?
I will say it over and over, they need a baseball mind running the club both GM and Manager. Boone has to go period. He absolutely has to go . No fire, no heart, no motivation they suck. Again George is rolling over in his grave. When does his kid wake up.
Actually George is rotting in his grave.

Sending Mike Ford down with his lefty power bat was moronic. Bring him back up.

@@vc8my the bottom line is we need lefty power with a short porch in right it makes no sense that we have none. I'm fine with getting rid of Mike Ford but don't replace him with a righty rookie that can't hit. we should go after Kyle schwarber.
Even moronic was keeping him in the big leagues.Wow 8 hits.Sounds like a Stan Musial cline.
LOSING isn't what the Yankees were built On !!!!!!
Aaron Boone isn’t even the manager of this team because he’s just another one of cashman’s puppet. Cashman is the one that tells boone what to do game in and game out so with almost everything that happens on the field I agree that you can’t blame it all on boone but how can you keep this guy around when he’s made this team so soft ?! The players obviously give two craps about what he may tell them in the clubhouse and to what end ? To what end are you gonna give guys a pad on the back and tell them to go get it next time after they make an out on the bases or after they make another idiotic decision ? To what end ? Hal, how the hell do you not fire that clown immediately after he goes out there and say his team got BULLIED by the umpires ?! A grown man that’s put there to be the “manager” of the Yankees and you come out with crap like that ?! This team is quickly becoming a joke to baseball around the world, a joke to new york city, to the fans and to the legacy of this franchise.

Butt kisser Michael Kay once again getting his orders from the top brass on what to say so he says it's the players fault like Hal said at his presser. So..if the top brass and owner are blaming all the players in the media, you can bet that weeks prior to all this bad play, and behind closed doors behind the scenes, the players felt the owner blaming them instead of the weak leadership they have. Now it is out in the media the blame is going to all the players you think these guys are giving 100% When the owner of the company thinks you are not hustling is that really good for moral? For a leader to step forward and kick the rest in gear? Where is Posada when you need him? That's the guy that should be managing or someone like him.
