Lack of lineup balance and switch hitters, too many strikeouts, not enough contact or walks. I said it in April, and it was true in October.

The one comment that drives me crazy is Aaron Boone saying that the league is catching up to us. That’s a crazy comment. Boone acting like the Yankees have won a World Series twice in 3 years when really you been getting bested by teams in your division like the Rays, Red Sox and Blue Jays. Maybe he meant to say We need to catch up to the league. Just saying
With each passing year, the dynasty years of 96-01 move further and further away. Those days are loooooong gone. 1996 was a quarter of a century ago. As a Yankee fan, it gets more and more frustrating as we move closer to tying the 18-year drought between 78 & 96. Next year is gonna be 13 years without a championship. If three more years go by without a title, we tie the second-longest drought in history from 63-76.
Nice recap Derek. Most important off season since 09. Would love to see Ray as our #2 followed by Sevy and Monty And Jaymo and sliding Cortez back into that 2-3 inning pen guy along with King.
Yankees are approaching the same drought they had from the 1981 WS to the 1996 WS.
We need more hitters and less sluggers. Really to bad about DJ, he was suppose to be that hitter we needed this year. Hopefully he can bounce back next year and we can get another hitter or two.
If Sevy can't make it to the rotation again, I'm confident he'll be one hell of a closer.

Boone and his staff must go. They had a powerful team but those resources were poorly managed.
The honest truth is that our players are more interested in hitting home runs than getting on base.
We need table setters (contact hitters & base steelers) in the top of the lineup you need base runners for more productive homeruns (solo shots is not enough)....we need hitters who hit for average first!...the Yankees of 2022 need to look different...
Great video! They should have signed people like Brantley or Semien and now both are in playoffs! You should do a comparison between Sanchez and Zunino see what you think about that. Also you pointed out how many catcher experts the Yankees brought in. Compare that do a QB who gets a different offensive coordinator every year. It is never good. I think Sanchez needs a change of scenery!
Since when does hitting .200, striking out almost 200 times, and hitting 40 jacks qualify you as a must have elite player???! Give me tony Gwynn all day

I made this point earlier. In the Army, you are taught the concept of team from the very beginning. If one of your buddies leave his locker unlocked and the cadre notice it, everyone hits the ground and pushes. The reason is, all of you walked past his locker and didn't cover down. You're being selfish.
