Maybe it’s for the sake of brevity of the show. Asking him for password is pointless for the purpose of this show so they omit that part even if the guy has passwords in real life. Even if he has passwords, police will force him to disclose them.

I also think so. Why is caning not included in the sentence given to the offender? Since he is involved in vice activities, he should be caned apart from the jail term and fine.
The prosecutor in this case did not submit a request for caning. He requested 7yr sentence with a 60,000 fine. The judge has then decided on a punishment very close to what was suggested. It's unclear why both of them omitted caning in this instance as I think most ppl would agree this asshole truly deserved it. There was no mention of this in the judgement, if i were to guess it could be the suspect received a conciliatory statement from the victim which may have helped him. Again, I'm just speculating..

The past 20yrs of stringent rules and regulations have resulted in the youth of today being as ignorant and naive as I can ever remember of ppl in that age group. Even the criminals are so brazen, hardly thinking or caring that they'll be caught. We've raised a generation of dummies who can't think for themselves let alone show any initiative. Their lack of intelligence is very much to be expected. But, the most important skill these kids are lacking is the ability to communicate and socialise normally with ppl their own age. This is the result of too many hrs spent looking at screens instead or interacting with ppl face to face. Govt and Education dept need to sort this out asap lest the future of this country be left to a bunch of spoilt, naive simpletons.
