I thought there would be some chase or something but they just arrested him.
We were able to catch this guy earlier thanks to that common citizen who was observant enough to notice the suspect, and call the police. He also took the responsibility of following the suspect for a long time while guiding the police to his movements.
This shows that it's not just the cops who have to do all the work, we as citizens can(and must) also contribute by staying alert to our surroundings in any public place, and informing the police immediately about any untoward incidents.

The police in SG very hardworking, but CrimeWatch proves that when they are free, they really very free. Acting for one episode maybe takes a day? So they are very serious in work but have quite a lot of free time.
