- There have been a lot of players who been really good at shooting the basketball. Steph Curry is one of them. In this video, I make the case that he's the greatest shooter of all time... (among other things).

Im sorry, is this some sort of american joke im too european to understand
Hey clayton, Couldn't you argue that larry bird was the greatest shooter of all time? Just curious
@@Navvye ehhhhhh comparing to steph not really
@@professionalcurrysexual9289 larry had two 50 40 90 seasons tho,
Hiii
It shows a lot of respect when a player like Duncan Robinson makes a video about how Steph is the greatest shooter of all time! Love to see it
Dawg💀
Robinson is transcendent but he has a decade and a half of mvp and championship performance to catch up with. He should, just as he is, be minding his Ps and Qs at this stage
Wrong wrong..larry joe 🐦..lol pruffin pudding..easy easy.facts..it is what it is..
@@stevenhines5550 bro this comment is a joke
Percentage wise, Steph has been basically as accurate from 3 (for his entire) as Robinson was this year.
“warriors have a timeout, decide not to use it”
okc: 😳
Yes I remember this game. All the way down town, half court 3.
bang
the best part was Kanter shrugging when the ball was in the air, he knew it was money
“curry from way downtown, BANG! BANG! Oh what a shot by curry!”
I remember that game, I was sleeping my daughter and I had the game on, what a game and what a shot!
I actually started watching basketball because of Curry - I had never gotten into it as a kid, but in college, Warriors games were always on at the local pub. He was just so fun to watch that I fell in love with the whole damn sport.
Omg me too . I didn’t like basketball but when I watched the warriors in 2015 it was amazing to watch, I’m a big warriors fan now .
Pussy game
@@boostburns5112 It is not generally in my nature to "feed the trolls," as it were, but I'm genuinely baffled by what possible relation your comment could have to mine.
@@Dimonite314 none at all. I just said the game have gone soft
I guess the ultimate test would be to have him go up against Shaq & Kobe while being guarded by the pesky Tyrone Lue. I think Iverson could elaborate.
I hope and pray that Steph is healthy from here on out. The N.B.A. just isn’t the same without him.
N.B.A. Never saw anyone write it like that 🤣👍
he won another ring
It’s the NBA or nba not the .N.B.A.

Hadn't even noticed. But yeah my boy ben is such an underrated catch and shoot guy. Does it almost once a season.

What would be cool is a “making the case” series for the greatest defender of all time. You could include Bill Russell, Olajuwon, Mutombo, Rodman, Ben Wallace, Gary Payton maybe even Tim Duncan.
Tim Duncan is better defensively than wallace due to his longevity and consistent efforts.
That would be to hard to define, interior defenders are different from perimeter defenders. How do you compare Ben Wallace to Gary Payton or Russell to Pippen
i agree! and also best passer, rebounder, etc.
I second this!
Maybe Duncan? You probably think Hassan Whiteside is a good defender.
throwback to when scouts said 1 of steph's weaknesses was dat he relied too much on his outside shots... now we all rlly kno it was his most lethal weapon dat no one knew about
15:40 When he’s talking about how fitting was it that Steve Kerr coached Steph... you really not gonna mention that Steve played for the 72-10 Bulls, then coached the 73-9 Warriors?
Yeah fr there were some choice tidbits I wish he'd added in here and there. Still a fantastic video tho
Kerr also only person to win 3 rings as a player and 3 as coach. Though he has 5 as a player. Kerr has 8 rings no one ever talks about that.
Oh god he's addicted to making cases
and we are addicted to watch them all
just like how im addicted to crack
that why this pandemic aint over?
Who wouldn't? Lol.
Hello hello there! This is the lock picking lawyer and I'm making a case for this lock being a total sham. Even a simple coming attack can open all of the tumblers.

I love how the narration feels like I'm reading a sports magazine.
Haven't watched yet but I'm looking forward to your case against Jason Terry being the greatest shooter of all time
Damn that Saturday OKC vs Golden State game was the best game I have ever seen live.
That game was amazing!
As soon as I realized he was about to start talking about the Saturday OKC vs Warriors game, I got goosebumps.
NO ONE who saw that game live will forget where they were when Curry hit that shot. It seriously has a case as the greatest regular season game of all time, and it definitely closed the case that Steph is the GOAT 3 point shooter.
Yeah I knew it was over for the league, he was too poised when he hit that shot.
I had a noisy neighbour talking about something else in our living room and then I jumped off my couch when Curry hit that shot lol
What was crazy was, there was a play early in the game where Curry got passed Westbrook's awful defense, and Westbrook came back to block the shot but landed on Curry's ankle and Curry couldn't move. Went to lockerroom and I had been worried without CUrry, Warriors wouldn't beat OKC. Then he came back and perform elite, outshining Kevin Durant, Westbrook or Klay Thompson to get the Win. Most influential player of this generation.
It’s crazy because I really do remember where I was lmaooo , man that was one of my fav moments as a basketball fan.
I was telling my wife they need to press curry after he passed half court and he just fuckin swishes it lol
So much potential here. Greatest scorer, greatest defender, greatest passer. This gonna be fun
Yeah
Best Playmaker, Dunker, Rebounder, Most Athletic,
Greatest Coach
@Rye Bread that's a little bit of a hot take seeing how he really benefited to the GSW system. BUT DEFINITELY BLONGS IN THE CATEGORY.
@Rye Bread I'm not saying it's a negative im just saying he really gotten better when went on to the GSW. Kobe Lebron Bird and MJ didnt always have that type of lecture.
My first NBA game I ever sat down and actually watched, was that game on February 27th, 2016. I remember exactly where I was and who I was with too. I remember watching Steph Curry sink in three after three, wondering "is this normal? do players normally drain in this many threes?" As that GSW vs OKC game being my first game to sit down and watch, I enjoyed every moment of it, especially that final three pointer from 35+ feet for the win. I immediately became an NBA fan, as well as a Stephen Curry fan that very day.
Lmao that's a helluva first game to watch
Look at Curry man, so inspirational.
Great video Clayton. Love the style of these.
i genuinely had to recheck your profile and damn it is you, i cant say whether im confused, impressed or just surprised but damn this was completely unexpected

Not only does Cub watch NBA, he’s also a Curry fan, and not only is he a curry fan, HE KNOWS THE FLIGHT MEMES

@@itzwakk335 Son? Is that you? You’re 18 right?
He's not the 🐦..so forget it..
"castrating" might be the most accurate word to describe what Steph does to a defense 😂
Damn 🤣
3:19 steph got 3 screens and was still heavily defended after all that, just shows how much the cavs wanted to stop him and still he makes it
The fact that even with the new rule change to drawing fouls, he’s still exceeding expectations shows how great of a player he really is
After this 4th chip he’s in my top 10. I’m just gonna say it. He’s number 10 on my list. He’s that good.
@@bensagal-morris8072 Anywhere in the lower end of the top 10 or top 15 is a reasonable spot for him at this point with all that he’s accomplished in his career. I’d probably have him at 10-11.

8peat Celtics. Period. 8 straight rings.
Greatest single season team or organization ?
@@ikedadon2642 likely stretch of years but maybe single season would be better I’m not sure like a dynasty I was thinking not total organization. Russell Celtics, mj bulls, Duncan Spurs, curry warriors. Maybe single season would be better
When Steph " do the shimmy dance, that enemy team is in big trouble".
The Golden State Warriors were the most entertaining thing on TV on any given night. In 2015. And 2016. Think about that for a minute.
And then KD ruined it by hitching a free ride on behalf of an already established dynasty.
Steph is unreal. So glad I started watching basketball when Steph was ascending. the amount of times I've thought that can't be real and then he hits the shot and I'm just in awe.
I will forever remember the feeling of seeing Steph first pull up from ridiculous range. It is a high I will forever chase.
I'm a simple man. I see a Making the Case video, I instantly watch all of it.
That OKC game man. Before Steph shot it, I was like dude if I were that good, I would just pull it up man. Then he did.
The weird feeling that when you watch a movie that the good guy always wins and it is kind of expected but in combination of realizing that this is not staged but with the same expected outcome. You realize that this dude is so good that it's unfair.
I'm so glad you ended with the 3 against the Thunder. I'm not a fan of either of those teams but that moment is one of the most jaw-dropping and memorable moments I've ever seen in the NBA. I can remember exactly where I was too and just being in awe. It felt like Steph was just unstoppable and he had broken the game of basketball. No one is supposed to be able to do what he was doing.
Lol I’m a warriors fan from the bay but I always hear fans of other teams say just what you did. I guess all of us regardless of what team we root for we’re watching that game that night , the casino I was at went absolutely nuts , you could hear yelling from across the building lol
I’m from Kansas and a lifelong Jayhawk fan and let me tell you what every Kansas fan was thinking when we had to play Derrick Rose in the championship “we beat steph, we’ll be alright.” We we’re so scared of the 6’3’’ twerp from Davidson. I’ll never forget it.
Bro. You are underrated. Just like the early Curry. Thank you for this masterpiece of wordplay and storytelling. Cheers!
Yo I can’t believe you have a better 3pt% then curry that’s pretty cool
Using Ben Simmons in that clip was perfect
4:40 was not expecting that clip lmaooo
20:16 what an amazing shot. Its just incredible.
Steph Curry *literally* changed the game. I'm lucky enough to have watched basketball from the late nineties to now. The game has changed beyond recognition in that time. Many people have contributed to that shift but nobody has even come close to the seismic impact Steph has had, he breaks the game of basketball when he is on.
An evil smile appeared on my face when I saw the notification for this video
I loved watching that 2015 and 2016 GSW team, chemistry was off the charts with steph leading the way. Coming from a Lakers fan.
You dont know how long I have been waiting for this video
4:37 Sliding in Ben Simmons like we won't notice it huh LMFAOO
the clip before simmons wasn't curry either, he was talking about how most league shooters shot alot of catch and shoot corner threes and showed clips of it
I'm pretty new to basketball, but I've seen that OT 3 against OKC all over the place in vids and compilations. Never realized until now how ridiculous that actually was! Awesome video!
Loved the comparison to Pete Maravich when talking about Curry. You wonder what his legacy as a three point shooter would’ve been. Also great video.
“Steph curry is the most influential player of his generation”
" BANG! BANG! OH WHAT A SHOT BY CURRY!!!"
It’s christmas morning whenever Clayton uploads 🎄
This video is so much better than I thought it would be. One of the best basketball videos I've seen because it's exactly how I feel now and I definitely missed out back then just like you did. Looking forward to the other cases!
Such a banger with quality I haven’t seen in a while. Earned a sub bro, keep it up!
Great narration, amazing formation of sentences and the background score was subtle but not drowned. You my guy just earned my subscription. I have been a short term basketball fan (started watching it in 2015 as that's when NBA first started telecasting games in my country and i didn't have a smartphone to watch it online) and this small docu-essay gave me a very good insight on how amazing the 2015-16 NBA season truly was. The 73-9 Warriors, Kobe Farewell Game and Cavs 3-1 comeback. amazing
Mad respect bro. This was an amazing video. And letting Curry's shot against OKC to play out in the video, that's how you give it its due.
Amazing video!
love the video, definitely agree that some "best team's of the 70's/80's/90's/etc" would be cool too! your videos are so in depth and would love to learn more about the teams and franchises behind players, especially through history
Brilliant video. I'm ashamed to admit that I even teared up a little. It's been an absolute honour watching this man's career, and I feel like there's still so much to come.
I have to admit, I was bamboozled. I was like, “Yes, another “Making The Case” series! But why start with Steph Cur........Oh. You got me!” Great Vid man!
Making the case for the best teams of all time (respective seasons that is) surely that's an idea for the future!! Glad to have you back Clayton!

Hey Clayton its pretty good that you included your alter ego (duncan robinson) in the video :D

Amazing video man 🔥 Steph made me fall in love with the sport
You have such a wonderful way with words, thank you for another wonderful video ❤️
Bro.. dam good video. I remember watching all of those moments live. Every game was another record broken as a team or individually. Every game was like a sport centers top 10.

god, this has me excited for the season start.
I love the way these man narrates the achievement of steph....he's very articulate describes how steph handles the ball, his passing behind the back his 3point shooting steals defense manipulating his opponent thru his dancing...thank you man for highlighting stephs career...😍
I always watched and watched over and over again specially the last part and every time there is teardrops in my eyes at the end of your story i love it I am in the other side of the earth I think but I love watching the Warriors specially Stephen Curry!!

Ayeee Clayton is back with another banger
Excellent as always! Steph won me back to basketball after 20 years of indifference, sprinkled in with some hockey here and there depending on the roommates/coworkers.
What a deep analysis. That OKC shot is my favorite Steph shot and favorite basketball play of all times. I just wish l could have seen the reaction from the complete stadium.
I am gonna have to search for your videos, no click bait here.
Thanks for sharing your perspectives, the facts on my favourite player.
The red line at the three brought back a rush of emotions I hadn't felt since that night in February.
Clayton back again with the 🔥
This is the best and most elaborate video I've seen on Steph. Awesome 👌 job 👏!!!!!!
The description of his shot vs OKC was perfect. The set up to it was perfect too, because of the backstory that you gave.
I agree with everything but one statement. At the time that okc shot might’ve been the most arrogant, but I don’t know that we’ll ever see anything more disrespectful than dames shot to end okc’s era. Looking back though, a lot of parallels between the two. Poor okc...
I think the Warriors having a timeout and not using it makes it the "arrogant" shot out of the two. But damn when your that good it's hard to not be like imma just shoot n score real quick.
@@WalkoffGrandslam I think the Dame shot is more arrogant just because he did it in the playoffs

Best moment of this video: Clayton revealing he was a Clippers fan. Are you still?
Dude I love your videos. Thanks for keeping me entertained
I love watching college Steph, he looks like some 5th grader completely dominating a bunch of adults.
And today he scored 62 points
The Warriors got me when they played the Spurs on the same season they went 73-9. I was an arrogant Spur, thinking there's only one team that could somehow finesse a win over the insane threes that Curry and co. were taking, and that's Gregg Popovich.
All the man could do was prevent them from getting a 100 points on their dome
Amazing Amazing Video.. Flow and Narration superb🔥🔥🔥
You made cry 😢 now bro. Thank you 🙏 for this wonderful video
I have no idea why I cried at the end of this.
Damn that's how i felt. Mee too. Real curry fan.
Anyone here after Steph broke Ray Allen’s career 3-point record?
Excellent video--thank you very much for making this. Curry is the reason I came back to the Warriors and NBA basketball after Cohan scrammed the We Believe team--I attended one of those games, and thought that I'd seen the best things were likely to get, you know, again. I'd been a fan since I was a kid in 1986, watching a 2nd-year Chris Mullin shoot the lights out, and after decades of Chris Cohan f*cking up my beloved team, I was done.
Until 2012-13, when my brother called and told me that I should check out this Steven Curry kid--one game, and I was hooked. By 2013-14, I was convinced that Curry was going to be a HoFer; by the start of 2014-15, I was convinced he'd take us to the Finals. I've watched nearly every game since, and as long as he's in the league, I will keep watching.
Damn bro.. i for real just had 22 minutes of goodebumps.. i‘m a soccer player from germany with literally no connection to basketball until 2014/15 when i watched his mvp season highlights and fell in love with his game.. ever since then i have watched every single game he‘s played in live. I live in germany so that means staying up until 5/6 am even though i had school the next day 😄 i never imagined to have such passion for anything besides friends and family. Thank you for this video bro. It was just perfect❤️
Finally someone giving this man his proper respect! He literally changed the way the game is played world wide 🤯.. No super star other than MJ has the gravity of steph curry
Next up:
Making the case that the color of blue is blue.
These vids are just a different level when it comes to production value. An idea i have for a series is the best to never series where you talk about stuff like the best player to never win mvp or the best defender to never win dpoy etc. Etc.
Great video! Every NBA fan knows where they were when Steph hit that 3 pointer against OKC! It was epic!
