Beverlee McKinsey was so wickedly entertaining. It's good to have these shows to look back at. Such a Great Actress! She played all her characters with such strength, urgency and believability. She deserved every bit of her Star Billing. Texas 'Starring Beverlee McKinsey". Yes, Yes Yes!
I loved how she could be so treacherous then turn around and have the voice of a little angel girl. I was a kid when I tuned into Another World and she had just hired Philip Wainwright to break up Mac and Rachael. Ha! I remember, one time Rachael thwarted his advances by smacking him with a riding crop. 🐴 Years earlier, when I was really little and watched The Guiding Light at my mother's knee, Victoria Wyndham played Charlotte Bauer and I was so excited to find her on Another World.
Years before there was Stephanie and Brooke, there was Iris and Paige ... it would have been fun to watch this relationship develop through layers and layers of conflict.
Never watched Beverlee when she was on AW or Texas, but I DEFINITELY watched her GL and was ALWAYS enthralled by her acting performances! She's in my top 5 of my favorite daytime actresses of all-time...and believe me I know soaps, having watched them since the late 70s! Beverlee had that one-of-a-kind, magnetic diction! Anyway, THANKS for posting!

I grew up during Beverlee's stint on GL as Alexandra. While I see some similar traits between Alexandra and Iris, I also see a lot of differences between the two characters and that's all due to the acting talents of Beverlee. Also, I do see that Carmen Duncan did have some of the same essence as Iris
Lisby Larson's Paige was quite the formidable enemy to Beverlee Mckinsey's, Iris. Both actresses went onto to Guiding light in similar roles. Thx for the upload.
When I first started watching Texas, Iris was gone and Paige was nice. I loved that show, especially Pam Long in the role of Ashley . Probably my all time favorite. Too bad she went on to ruin Guiding Light as head writer, my mothership soap.
