The wings are long and thin and don't they look great 🙂👍
She looks like a treat! thanks Cliff!
Thanks for watching 👍
Tri-wing planes are very challenging to build for sure. Nice explanation on working from plans. What the designer intended is always subject to minor changes by the builder weather intended of by accident. Enjoyed watching this series so far.
Thanks Tug, another reason to change the original design is sometimes technology moves on and it's a case of updating the plans as you go 👍
coming on lovely cliff, its good to see you build from plans, i remember teaching myself about 43 years ago to prick through the plan to make a wood part , i still use that method , i never have used the stick on paper yo wood method , although i have used carbon paper to make good card templates , lovely aircraft cliff ,
Cheers Tony, it's good to use different methods to fabricate certain parts isn't it, thanks for watching 🙂👍
Wow . I have watched many of your videos and now I am completely hooked . And at the ripe old age of Seventy years young it's time to start doing things for me . I have a few more Bagpipes to finish and once they are done I'm going to start my 1/4 scale Stampe and Pup from drawings . So they will be scratch built . In my earlier days I built many model airplanes so it will be really nice to start over . Thank you so much for giving me the impoduce to get on and do this .
That's great to hear Alexander, 70 years is quite young you're not much older than me, both the models you've mentioned are going to be spectacular you'll love every minute of it 👍🙂
That’s some wing building going on there. Great stuff Cliff, looking forward to part 4 🫡
Thanks Chris, wings wings wings 😁👍
Looking fantastic 😊 She's going to be very nice when covered
Thanks Mike, keep watching 🤔👍
Excellent build Cliff❤
Thanks Ronald 🙂
Superb work, Cliff! This will look stunning when it's finished.
Many thanks Gina, she definitely will 🙂👍
Some more great building. You do interesting work.
Yes, thank you Paul, got to keep the interest going 👍
I watched a video about the triplane. Apparently it was a very popular aircraft and pilots loved it. All three wings had ailerons giving a very agile performance.
Let's hope mine is as good Nick 👍🙂
A work of art Cliff! Looking fabulous so far!
It's all down to Mike Roach (the designer) really, I'm just following the plan 😁👍
Great work so far Cliff.
Thanks Bob 👍
Hey Cliff. How many planes have you built? Loads I expect, but still getting excited when you see the mockup for the first time is priceless. What a lovely hobby!! 🙌🏻
Too many to count over the years Tim but a quick head-count around me now shows about 60 ... that's one for every type of weather we get in the UK! But space is becoming a bit of a problem, I'll have to start building micro micro models 😁👍
Fantastic job, really coming together niw Cliff 😀👍
Thanks Ian, the next installment sees the covering done 👍
just another point cliff, this design by Mike roach looks good, as he has designed the tail end ver light structure, its looks like a good design,
Almost too light 👍
Cliff wow fantastic beautiful wings. I’m getting ready to build my wings for the Clipped Wing Cub still don’t fully understand the plan but I’m sure once I get started it’ll make sense. Jeff in LA USA
Thanks Jeff, these are pretty straight forward as wings go, it pays to study the plans though 👍
Those long wings and a narrow cord have the plane the edge, increasing manoeuvrability and better pilot viability. Your model is going to be a stunner. Have you settled on a colour scheme?
Quite the machine by all accounts Mark, I hope mine is the same, yep, colours are chosen but you'll have to wait 🤔👍😁
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes your just mean 😂
👍👍👍
Thanks for watching Jon 👍
👍👍
Thanks Bantam 🙂
Perfect job for the laser , those leading edge add ins , Would havve been a chore making 40 with an Exact o
? Whats this Doculum stuff , is it used for Luminating .
Yes, Doculam is a trade name and is short for document laminating film. Adds strength and isn't affected by humidity 👍🙂
