  • FUTURE PLANS for the Harley Street Bob 114.... Now that I've got a mostly stock Harley Street Bob its time to start considering some of the plans and modifications we can do to the bike. I am going to run through what I have in mind for upgrades to this Harley Softail Street Bob 114.

That seat needs to go first lucky Dave's or saddlemen. Then some 14" apes and some exhaust.

    So far on mine...
Bassani road rage 3 2-into-1 exhaust with quiet baffle after being unimpressed with the set of V&H slip-ons now collecting dust in my garage.
    HD tall rear shock
Saddleman seat for comfort for both me and my passenger (wife or one of my kids)
Ran forward controls for a while but those are collecting dust now too, installed a crash bar that serves as highway pegs and went back to mid controls
Kuryakyn Road Thunder Plus for audio. Sounds pretty good
Pro street tuner installed, auto tuner add-on sitting in box waiting to install
cruise control (dealer charged $100 for a 5 minute ecm flash to enable it)
    LED halo turn signals
Moonmaker Fly Eye LED headlight being delivered this week
Speed-king 10" aniston riser & mid-bend bars ordered, awaiting shipment
Bung king tank lift (not sure if I'll keep it though)
All before my 1,000 mile maintenance, lol
Will probably get a small fairing before long (memphis shades road warrior)
Would like to upgrade to a 5-gallon fuel tank but that's a bit more customizing than I have the tools for since you have to mod a tank from another model

I put Kraus 10” pullback risers with Fly Moto bars. Didn’t have to change cables, only a wire extension for the gauge. Very comfortable. It’s basically the stock height but a little wider. Also add a 13” rear shock. I did Fox. That hands down is the best improvement.

    • @TheMotoJawn
      @TheMotoJawn  Před rokem

Nice. Where did you get the gague wire extension? I'll probably need one

I think this is the perfect time of year for riding. It gets just warm enough for a flannel shirt during the day and put on a light jacket at night or in the morning just just as the sun is rising.

The StreetBob is such a great motorcycle, but I agree with your assessment….you’re going to need a fairing of some kind. Looking forward to seeing what you’ll do!

Just picked up my 2022 Street bob in reef blue Wednesday night. Already switched out my indicators for leds with smoked lenses. Definitely wanting a color matched road warrior fairing. Saddle-men step up seat. Some kind of tbars or risers with drag bar. Thinking some new exhausts though it doesn’t sound horrible stock still on the quiet side. Then changing out the pegs, levers, and mostly anything small for a nice golden touch.

That bar... If Harley would have kept the exact bar that came on the older Dyna Wide glide, would be a great bar if you like taller bars.
Basically the same dimensions as the Street Bob but the pullback and other bends were different. More comfortable and natural feel.

Thrashin Supply make good bars and risers. I got a 6 inch riser with a 2.5 inch rise handlebar with 2 inches of pullback. For a seat I went with the Saddlemen Explorer seat. It doesn’t look as good as the Stepup, but it is extremely comfortable.

@@TheMotoJawn it splits the difference. You’re not all the way forward, and you’re not completely straight up. So you don’t put all the stress on your wrists and back. The Saddlemen Explorer sits you up 2 inches and pulls you back about 2 inches. I’m about 5’ 10” with a 32 inch inseam and it’s perfect for me.

Saddleman Explorer two up seat. I didn’t add rear foot pegs though. I have a medium height sissy bar from TC Bro Choppers to have a place to strap stuff to. I also Installed Wisamic 5-3/4 5.75 inch LED Headlight. That’s it for what I did. Alan from Havertown and now in Florida.
