- The RISKY TRUE Story of my Harley Street Bob 114.... I recently picked up a used Harley Street Bob 114 but there was a little bit of risk involved on getting this bike! I'll tell the story of how I came across it, the deal and how I got it!

Non traditional dealers can be good, they don’t like sitting on inventory dollars and are motivated to sell odd ball items outside their traditional inventory and are not influenced by buying trends or industry market demands. Warranty follows the bike. Good job!
Such a good point man! Warranty follows the bike? Good to know!
You seem to have gotten a really great deal on your bike. I am hesitant about buying a bike from a car dealership but that’s me congratulations on your purchase. Love your posts and I used to live and work in Pennsburg northwest of Philadelphia. It would’ve been nice to have met you and done some riding. Take care and Good luck.
I really wanted an Iron 1200 and build it for my Girlfriend and get a Street Bob for myself. I heard HD is talking about putting a 117 in the Street Bob, what would be your thoughts?
Yeah I skeptical buying a bike from a car dealer as well
They parked a redline red FXBBS right in front of my damn parts counter at the dealership I worked at. Now I own it...
Good choice it's a beauty
Congrats on your new bike! I purchased a super clean low mileage 2007 Yamaha FZ1 (in 2009) which was traded in on a used car by an older gentleman who was done riding motorcycles. The dealer was several thousand below book (guessing I got it for whatever the trade allowance was) I ended up selling it a couple of years later for 2k over what I purchased it for. And I just happened to be traveling through the area LOL
That's awesome good find!
Yes you only get one key fob and pretty sure warranty follows the bike and only thing you get besides the fob is an owners manual which is nice to have but if you have a good relationship with your local dealer I'm sure they can throw you one. I would recommend Thrashin supply escape throw over bags for a little handy storage. Great bags and fit the line of the Street Bob. The Thrashin essential bags are quite small and the escape bags are just roomier and hardly noticeable difference mounted on the bike. Dart makes a nice sleek easy to mount fly screen if you're just looking to take a little wind off your chest for highway speeds and don't want to go the whole club style Memphis shades stuff. Have fun modding it!
My sportster has two keys so I thought they all did
Good Find. Not being in a rush and not needing to trade your bike makes a difference. Seeing you ride it makes me wonder about the Sporty though. I don’t see both being ridden. The second bike needs to be Different.
That's why we get to rip up the sporty now. See what we can turn it into
If you're local to the Bucks County area, would love to link up and ride some time. I have the orange on black street bob and loving it so far
Nice we'll see you out there 👍
Good deal. Congratulations.
Right on! 🤟
I bought my first bike just a few days ago it’s 2021 street bob 114 with 60 miles for 10k from a dealership everyone I’ve talked to about it said I got a deal of a lifetime
Yeah I would say that's a heck of a deal
I'd have done the same thing. I've been looking also and the local dealers in Denver will not even tell you the price. Picked up a 20 Softail standard for 12.2K cash from a private seller with 102 miles on the clock. The dealers wanted to beat me up on my sportster 72 also, so I got to keep it too. Wife asked why two bikes? Sporty on odd days and Softail on even. Thanks for the tale buddy and stay safe.
That's awesome sounds like a good deal. Great to keep both
I bought my Triumph Trophy SE from a high end car dealer in NJ a month ago , the one partner has a sub biz selling used bikes , deal went quick and the price was right
That's awesome. Exactly how this went right price quick deal
I traded my street Bob for a lowrider st…. Which I probably should have just bought the lowrider off the start…. But.. dang.. I’m having second thoughts…. I grew to really love the way that street Bob handled…. It handles like a dream,,, especially after 😊you put a couple thousand miles on it.. you really get to know it.. I could ride that like a pro.. and I’m probably not the greatest rider otherwise.. the big touring bikes sorta intimidate me.. I can ride them but I always feel a bit nervous,,, because you need to know the bike your riding and I haven’t ridden any tour bike more than 20 miles.. so… I’m hoping I get that same feeling from the lowrider…. But anyone thinking about one or the other… the street Bob is a fantastic bike.. you can get some nice leather bags, a fairing a new seat and sissy bar… and it will look great and you’ll have a great bike for riding distance… maybe upgrade suspension and it will be really good..
I'm sure you'll get use to the st too. It looks great that's for sure
Picked up 2022 new streetbob fastback blue ,19 miles for 11,500 ,about 2 weeks ago,
That's awesome enjoy
I hope I find a good deal next year !
Just keep lookin they're definitely out there
I paid 17,734 for a 22 street bob, and had it delivered from 2 1/2 hr away, great deal!!!
There you go 💪
totally makes sense, car dealer does not give af and just wants that bike gone, buying at the end of fall is the best because then they have no chance of selling it and will need to store it so your best deals will come then
So true man I got lucky with all those factors falling in my favor
What is the big secret with what the bike was purchased?
Chopper build on the sporty!!?? Club style the softtail. All things as god intended!!!
I like where your heads at!
Harley Davidson only gives one key when you buy it. They also come with no manual. Harley usually has a 2 year, unlimited miles. It does need a 1000 mile service.
Interesting my sportster came with two keys
@@TheMotoJawn must be a new thing. My 2022 road king only came with one. I had to pay to get a second one.
@@road_wizard4734 Just bought a 2022 Heritage end of September. Came with one key fob. Also came with two physical metal keys to lock/unlock the fork and saddlebags.
? 2022 FXBBS I bought came with one fob, two fork lock keys and an owners manual. Only time I've see only one key in the deal is on used bikes. Former owners usually have lost the spare key and don't have a clue what they did with the manual.
2022 bikes don't need a key to start them. Just have the fob in your pocket. The key you get is for the fork lock. I got two, and a manual. Hold the dealership's feet to the fire. When the bikes are delivered to the dealership the come with all that shit.
Warranty should be good. Vin number tell them everything.
Sounds good thanks for the info 👍
Did it have the 1000 mile service?
Stay tuned...
What happen to the 1200?
Catch the vid before this one 🤟
It’s a new bike. H-D will take care of it.
Let's hope so!
@@TheMotoJawn If you need your bike fixed..........where do you take it? HD of course. It may be $$$, but it gets taken care of correctly, and with a warranty. Or at least a place to take it back to. Nice choice by the way. A little more than a Street bike, but not too much. Weight is a big factor for me. I was concerned with 550 lbs of my Sportster. But I've gotten used to it. Much bigger and I don't think I can pick it up. You get it. Enjoy the ride bud.
Warrantee follows the bike,,
Cool that's what I've heard so far
Shoulda gotten a Vulcan instead
Vulcan who?
@@TheMotoJawn Vulcan yo momma!
Why buy the replica if you don't have to?
Just say the damn price. Jeez its not some big personal thing what your bike costed. 🙄
Why wouldn't you say what you picked it up for unless your trying to flip it. What a waste of time.
I said out the door a little under msrp. You want down to the exact penny and interest rate too?
