  • I recently started a new job remotely and there's three main things that i’ve learned are different doing this remotely as opposed to going into the office. If you're currently waiting to start a new job remotely and not sure what to expect I think this video will be helpful or maybe if you're just curious as to what I've experienced, stay tuned for that.
Working From Home is still relatively new and starting a new job in this fashion has been very interesting.

Give me working from home ANY day! No packed-train commuting, office politics, rushing into the shower and throwing your breakfast down your throat in a constantly chore effort to make it into work early.

Yay another civil service youtuber! I can definitely relate - started my current role working remotely and it didn't feel as natural at first, but have managed to find ways around it. Great tips about taking notes and being proactive too!

Hi Jac I have a civil service interview soon and I have been watching your very handy videos! They have helped me out big time in drafting my competencies...please would you be able to make a video on the competency of ‘working together’? I would love to hear your tips on this

Man I had a job where we hired 4 people and I had to train them all while doing my job . 50 -100 questions a day collectively I kid you not . That would have been very challenging remotely wow

Hey Jac, I came across you not long ago whilst looking for help with the situational judgement test. Haven't managed to snag a job yet, but with your advice (and a ton of other videos I binged on the topic) I managed to get through. Currently waiting to see if my personal statement was enough to get me an interview.
You seem like a pretty chill guy and your content is fun to watch. Hope everything goes well with your own new job, and you keep going with the channel

Yeah, I have an onboarding step to sign in to my company's site with login but the site is not working for me. It's definitely awkward while I wait for an answer.

They can outsource the work - but it will be lower quality work and the employer will have to deal with a language barrier. You get what you pay for and many remote workers are worth the cost :)
