    Alright mate.
While researching for my civil service interview I came across your videos and I definitely think they helped me fine tune everything I already had.
I found out on Friday that I’d got the job.
Top man, your advice definitely helped me.

Just wanted to say thanks for the videos. I found them very helpful and just got offered a role on my first CS interview. Feedback included a 7 for my presentation. Thanks again!

Hi Jac, this is quite urgent as my interview is in a couple days, here is my question: You have been asked to explain the largest shocks to the UK Labour market over the past 20 years and more broadly the most significant changes. You need to explain this to your manager, who is unfamiliar with the topic, in a 5 minute verbal presentation. You should consider the following:
    Employment, Unemployment and Economic Inactivity
What do you think have been the largest shocks and most interesting changes e.g. gender, age, regional, reason for being inactive etc.
What external factors and events do you think may have caused the shocks and led to the changes we have seen in the Labour Market
I think the behaviour in question is "communicating and influencing" they didn't explicitly say that, but it looks like it is.
what should I be mindful of in terms of my structure, delivery etc?

I had to give a 15 minute presentation at a face to face interview. Before the interview I was told I would not be able to use PowerPoint.
I was given blank paper to write on. I took my own colour pens with me and I did a quick sketch. It helps that I have good drawing skills.
You should be given all the information how the presentation structure before the interview.

That’s an interesting point you raise about unless the panel have ASKED for slides, for 5 mins it may be okay to go without them.

I always thought that you were given the details of the presentation at the time of the interview, but after watching your video I guess people are told beforehand?! Great video

Interesting - thanks! My interview is next week and it's not clear to me which behaviour my presentation is intended to cover, so I'm going to email about that on Monday. Also interesting (and reassuring!) to note that this video is longer than the allotted presentation time, so it really isn't as long as I've imagined it to be. Thanks for the tips and advice - now subscribed 😊

Your videos are super helpful, thanks. Do you know if civil service let the successful candidates know first or are the interview outcomes released at the same time? Also, do you have any experience with having your application 'currently reviewed and will be in touch with the outcome' as being unsuccessful, or am I reading too much into it? Thanks

Interview process will be the same for both a Higher executive officer and senior executive officer roles. Senior roles will need more in-depth detailed answers.
